So after my first 12 hour experience I will be attempting this a second time.

I will be posting a follow up in 12 hours or so with results.

Setup
  • TradderDaddy v0.0.6
  • Mac OS X 10.10.2
  • RBY/BTC market on Bittrex
  • Risk Tolerance: Cautious (low)
  • Budget: 0.09 BTC

Here's my opening balances

Hey dev would you be able to explain the risk tolerance in more detail, thanks.

My experience after 12 hours of running TradderDaddy.

Intitial Setup
  • MAC OS X Yosemite 10.10.2
  • TradderDaddy v0.0.6
  • I had 43,000 RBY in my Bittrex wallet
  • In the bot settings I activated the RBY/BTC pair along with another 2 other pairs which I have 1 million coins trading in the ~50 sats and another 200k trading at ~60sats.
  • TraderDaddy setting on "Cautious (low)"
  • 0.09 BTC available with budget set at 0.09 BTC
  • Total Account value at start: 1.715 BTC

Currently
  • My Ruby balance has decreased by 71% to ~12,500 (I do have about 15k RBY in open orders that were set before I started the bot)
  • My other 2 coin balances have decreased by ~3% and ~46% respectively.
  • 170 sell transactions amounting to 1.14 BTC
  • 83 buy transactions amounting to 0.647 BTC
  • 0.43 BTC available
  • Total Account value: 1.613 BTC (decrease of ~5%)

I don't know how to interpret these results but I'm hoping the dev can use this data to help improve the bot. I don't know if the open orders that I had before starting the bot plays a role in the performance.

Hope this helps.

Out of curiosity is the bot properly putting buy orders up?

I only ask cause I was on TraderDaddy with my MacOSX Yosemite 10.10.2 and for some reason I could only get sell orders to post. No buy orders were going up. Because of the trouble I was having with the Mac version I installed the Linux version on a separate machine. Now it runs properly and posts orders to both walls.
From what you said it sounds like you were having the same trouble I was.
Check to make sure orders are being placed on both walls.

Yes it was adding buy orders as well.

I'm thinking your existing open orders, which are not tracked or adjusted, caused the poor performance. TraderDaddy stops working when your Rubycoin balance goes below 25,000 – normally it wouldn't let you drop below this amount, but a manually placed order could bring you below the limit.

Low satoshi markets may not be ideal for trading because the price is stacked up between two big walls. If the price goes down by even one satoshi, you get stuck trying to break even. If it goes down another satoshi, you're selling at a loss. The bot works best when it has room to adjust.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you think if I remove the manual orders and restart the bot, it will perform better?

Any news on mac wallet?

Wondering the same.

I will attempt to set-up a dev environment to create a Mac wallet. I'll be honest I don't have much experience with macs. I will post the wallet when it's compiled.

Ok thanks Omar. I can test once you've got something.

Thanks TheLittleDuke, how much is the donation amount?

You know?  I don't recall for sure -- its whatever Mindfox has hardcoded in there for whatever address he setup....

All I did was change the the destination for our effort getting the Mac wallet to compile and distribute

(modifying binary .dylibs is not my idea of fun btw)

I can scan the code to see what he had in mind for you np!

Thanks I appreciate it.
I believe the community will appreciate the transparency as well.

Regards

In main.h we find:

Code:
#define CHARITY_ADDRESS "5anJYFYW7npP4MyNaAtzTLb5ek2Lxgyb7d" // Cleanwatercoin Charity Address
static const int64 CHARITY_DEFAULT_AMOUNT = 100 * COIN;  // Default amount of Charity sent

We changed the CHARITY_ADDRESS to our https://doabitofgood.com/bit4bit matching donor fund

We also believe in 110% transparency so feel free ask ask me anything :-)

Thanks.

Just transferred 1000 coins and the donation was 1 coin.

Here's a screenshot of a transaction I just did.

Hey all!
Been away from crypto for several months (took the summer off).

How's CWC doing?
Is there a new mac wallet I should use?
Who's running the show now?

Hope to see some responses and some sign of a strong community! Smiley

Thanks!

Here's a link to a Mac wallet generated by Strength in Numbers Foundation --

The default donation goes to the WATER account on https://doabitofgood.com/bit4bit
