1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Vs Centralized Exchanges on: July 12, 2018, 04:29:44 PM
Thanks for your answer guys, really enriching!

it is all about the control. using a decentralized exchange you are mostly in control of your funds and the risks of losing them are minimal. also you do not have to trust a third party with your money since you give up that control using centralized exchanges.

the reason for the hype is that there has been many centralized exchange hacks in the past that has made people uneasy to work with any of them.

there is another hype that should be confused with the one i mentioned and that is the hype of the tokens like Wave,... that is for trading purposes and making profit from their pump and dumps.

I totally agree with you!

I also think that we will see appears in the upcoming years (months?) the launch of a huge DEX, which will completely solve this matter of security. But it's clear that for now, DEX are not newbie friendly at all! And it's true, who can boast today that it was easy to understand how to trade on EtherDelta.  Cheesy
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Decentralized Vs Centralized Exchanges on: July 12, 2018, 09:19:31 AM
Hello guys, hope you are doing well  Smiley

With the rise of ICOs and new projects working on Decentralized exchanges (DEX) and raising millions, I'm wondered how people in the crypto community perceive it and why a lot prefers DEX rather than centralized exchanges. Indeed we have seen many interesting projects with hype, such as IDEX, Waves or Stellar, and some looks really promising like NEONEX.

Decentralized Vs Centralized exchanges: Where do you stand? And why?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if Bounty is scam? on: July 10, 2018, 01:17:24 PM
The most important is to see the team members and check them out. Second most important is design. Is it stolen from somewhere or it is original? Most of the scam projects are not very good in details.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why so many peoples belived in pump 2018? on: July 10, 2018, 12:46:30 PM
I think we're entering into the time where random coins will stop being pumped, and actual use is what will control growth.
invest in things you believe in, that you see have real world use and a good team etc, and hopefully it'll go well!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If your coin increased 40% - 200% in value over night. What would you do? on: July 10, 2018, 09:56:02 AM
i really don't think daytrading is a good idea and generally prefer hodling, but i would try to take advantage of the unexpected situation and just sell. you never know when the coin might drop again so better act quick when possible.

That sucks that it got hacked. Glad to be a part of the new post though! Looking forward to the new year and enjoying watching onions grow.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will ICOs die? on: July 10, 2018, 08:49:54 AM
ICO will not die. Thus the growing network of the internet I think the ICO will be more and more of that support and will also be more and more new ICO will emerge with a very nice and interesting to future developments.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $500 to invest today on: July 10, 2018, 08:39:42 AM
You can diversify your capital half on bitcoin and choose 2 to 3 coin you believe in with high chances price will increase few months from now.
I would advise you Fusion, Vechain, KenCoin and Ethereum of course!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 80% of ICOs are Scams on: July 10, 2018, 08:36:33 AM
Many ICO's are just hype. They spend money in getting a good site and building hype around it and after collecting huge sums of money, they never bother about developing the actual product. That's why we need to be more careful when selecting an ICO
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will ICOs die? on: July 10, 2018, 08:20:25 AM
As per my view I say ICOs will be died only when government interfere and make it illegal in any country. It's one of the best way to raise funding for good projects.  Wink

A large team, good support - Forbes, as stated in the advertisement. But I did not understand what are the artifacts in your project?

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: July 09, 2018, 09:20:29 AM
I will believe that it can. There is nothing wrong with believing since it has a strong foundation and stability. It might take a long  time since bitcoin's reign still remains but we can surely count on eth that it can reach what bitcoin has achieved.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 46% of last year's ICOs have failed already on: July 05, 2018, 02:43:10 PM
That's why many countries are banning their citizens from investing in ico. But the ban can be very good when government is preventing its citizens from investing wrongly.
I'm sure the future of ico will decrease because the developers will continue to race to make the best ico.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giveaway threads are not allowed on: July 05, 2018, 08:57:50 AM
Has this rule been carried out now?

I still saw a lot of giveaways..  Cheesy
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative Block Chains : be safe! on: July 05, 2018, 08:38:28 AM
I strongly agree. That's partly why I haven't messed with the alt chains. I even mentioned this on the announcement thread for another coin but it got drowned out with all the excitement about it.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t panic! on: July 04, 2018, 08:49:36 AM
Dont panic. The market will be growing. I think people need to progress and since cryptocurrencies are our future I think we need to get used to them gradually
