Costa Rica officially labeling Bitcoin a currency is a great way for adoption.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: How useful is bitcointalk to your crypto journey? on: July 23, 2018, 10:01:24 PM
Definitely a wise place to learn and grow a project/community.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: July 23, 2018, 09:55:58 PM
Best to do is always get a wallet that you can control, maintain, or reset. If not you are susceptible to loosing your funds. DYOR.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency on: July 23, 2018, 09:50:47 PM
Cryptocurrency - Cryptographic Currency designed for Peer to Peer Decentralized Transfers (Bitcoin) - others have designed protocols around this idea for various use cases.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: How does a Bitcoin have any value? on: July 23, 2018, 09:49:36 PM
It all depends on what the next person is willing to pay. The power of decentralization into the hands of the people.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: How does bitcoin become a currency? on: July 23, 2018, 09:45:45 PM
To be an actual currency it needs to be widely accepted by governments. Since it's decentralized I don't think it will ever be accepted as a currency. However becoming a means of value and payment instrument is definitely the shape it's taking. Companies like ours however create protocols to make bitcoin used as a currency in every day commerce.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: How will crypto go long term? on: July 23, 2018, 09:44:24 PM
The digitization of currencies and cryptocurrency itself is just in its infancy. It will grow over the next few decades.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of bitcoin rapidly going down on: July 23, 2018, 09:41:41 PM
I wouldn't say rapidly going down, everything that goes up must come down as a normal practice of law. But in this case it sometimes retraces due to a heavy spike, in my opinion.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's suppose that Bitcoin became universal (used everywhere you go) on: July 23, 2018, 09:39:35 PM
The bitcoin protocol was initially designed as a cash system. Bitcoin Cash would be a great example of a payment protocol used for a currency. Bitcoin itself, I would classify as Gold 2.0.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking is Dead… Long live Blockchain Banking! on: July 23, 2018, 09:37:32 PM
Banking, as a whole, will always exist. It's how blockchains counteract or replace certain elements of banking is what we have yet to see.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Does engaging with bitcoins put you at risk? on: July 23, 2018, 09:33:05 PM
I believe, in my opinion, following the right metrics means you can figure out how to hedge any asset or currency to your favor.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is DEAD on: July 23, 2018, 02:33:33 PM
Because Bitcoin will forever be a base pair to other crytpos, it will never die. (In my personal opinion)
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency or Stock Market? on: July 23, 2018, 02:31:46 PM
Both have different types of styles, buyers, risks/rewards, etc. They are unique in their own retrospect.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin a Bubble? on: July 23, 2018, 02:25:55 PM
The world "bubble" is unjust. Bitcoin itself will always have corrections and will always have value. The world is adopting it day by day and making it part of economics.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Where and How to Spend Your Bitcoins? on: July 23, 2018, 12:02:19 AM
Spend is making it very simple in near future to spend your bitcoins in real time at point of sale locations worldwide. I will ping back in this thread when we launch.
19  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: An analysis of Mining Variance and Proximity Premium flaws in Bitcoin on: July 19, 2018, 11:09:34 PM
Interesting read, i wonder what other thoughts are on this.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum's Price on: July 16, 2018, 07:12:41 PM
