1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life and what else on: September 28, 2025, 07:43:57 PM
Well. probably I can sell things that are not important or of no use to me and probably I can use the money for gambling.  But I don't think I would sell these useless stuff because I wanted to gamble and I am out of funds.

I can sell anything just to make a profit but I would not sell them because I wanted to gamble.

Well, we as people have codes and values I would never bet houses or things that are very valuable to me, I prefer to lose before doing something stupid like that, That's why we should always use our minds and be intelligent when playing Intelligence prevents us from making wrong decisions.

Just be a responsible person, and we won't be doing stupid things.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a casino glitch credits your balance, do you really have to give it back? on: September 28, 2025, 06:54:09 PM
Imagine this, a casino glitch adds funds to your balance, you play, withdraw, and the money lands in your account. Later, the casino says it was a bug and demands you return it.

Legally, would you actually be liable if you don’t return it? Or is it fair to say you acted in good faith since you didn’t know?
And what if casinos can just claim “glitch” anytime they don’t want to pay?

Depends on the terms and conditions of the casino.  If there are no terms that a player should return any winnings from a glitched fund, then no I would not return the winnings, only the fund that was glitched that I have to return.

But morally speaking, if the glitch is known by us, we should inform the casino instead of taking advantage of the mistake of the system.  This way we will at least avoid any troubles from that glitched scenario.

3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Sports Betting Here to Stay? on: September 28, 2025, 05:53:51 PM

  • Do you agree that sports betting has more staying power than other games?

Yes, I agree that sports betting has more staying power than other games.  The reason behind is that people loves sports and competition.  If we look back at humanity's history, sports never stop existing, instead they are improved and modified to fit the current needs of people thus, sports being able to evolve and adopt through the years, we can at least think that it is here to stay, so does the sports betting unless the government forbid it.

Quote
  • What do you think keeps it popular, and if you bet on sports yourself, what’s the main reason you do it?

Players, tradition and promotion makes the game popular. If ever I bet on sports, the reason will be testing my analytic capacity and or because my favorite team is playing.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet search about Bitcoin can be misleading for beginners at times on: September 28, 2025, 05:07:52 PM
I told him that Fiat is more suited for crime than Bitcoin, dirty politicians can have money move around in fiat and hide it because they are in power but the blockchain is public, is there any point you guys can contribute to add up?

Any tools or things created by man can be used in both good and evil.  Medicine that is created to cure can poison a person if overdosed.  From it depends on the person using this tool and Bitcoin being a currency is neutral on its own.  Those who use it to do evil are the culprit just like how these criminals use fiat currency to pay people on doing their bad things.  Aside from that, cash due to its long time use and global adoption have way more record than Bitcoin if we are talking about being used to illicit activities.

So, in short, we can tell that kid that Bitcoin, just like cash, can be used to do good and bad things, it all depends on the person holding it.
5  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Mining Hardware Evolution on: September 28, 2025, 04:40:59 PM

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about profit. on: September 27, 2025, 04:22:53 PM
I got confused and started thinking if really I was the cause of what happened. I want to ask how many of you here have been blamed for someone else losses.

If you were in my shoes how will you feel.

@OP, it is a blessing in disguise that your friend got angry with you and distance himself even though you did nothing wrong.  This kind of friend is not worth keeping.

As for my case, I never blame anyone when it comes to gambling.  It is my responsibility to provide myself with the money I need to fund my gambling activities

And I were in your shoes, I just shrug the the feeling and wouldn't feel any regret or feel sorry for that guy missing a possible good win because I don't lend him money.  It is not my responsibility, and the situation is not an emergency.  So I say you did the right thing.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin still king of crypto gambling, or have stablecoins taken the crown? on: September 27, 2025, 02:50:27 PM
So what do you think - is Bitcoin still the king of crypto gambling, or have stablecoins already replaced it?

Due to centralized casinos, the KYC and the volatiltiy of Bitcoin, I think that people are shifting to USDT as their gambling currency.  I believe Bitcoin had already passed the era where it is mainly used in gambling platforms, and some people don't want to bet with their BTC due to the possible profit it can bring in the long run.  So instead of using Bitcoin many tend to use USDT to either preserve their monetary value or not to missed the possible profit that Bitcoin bring which USDT being a stable coin can't give.

I agree that Bitcoin might be the most popular today in terms of casino usage, but I think, in the coming years, many will see Bitcoin so precious that they will shift their currency usage to stable coin when engaging in gambling platform..
8  Local / Pilipinas / Re: DPWH nag launch na nag Blockchain-Powered Transparency System on: September 27, 2025, 01:58:33 PM

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the characteristics of choosing a gambling site? on: September 26, 2025, 09:43:47 AM
All these are what I said but was that wanting to hear from the community if there are any more input to share with them maybe when I am around them.

Please respond responsibly!

To be on the safe side, we should advise them to gamble at sites that are licensed, most preferably by the government, but since we are in the crypto environment, the best way to make sure that they will avoid platforms that are suspicious is to give this forum's gambling board where announcements of gambling services are posted. This way they can have real access to the community discussion.  Don't forget to link the Reputation and Scam and Accusation board too, so they can also have access to the cases filed against and resolved by the casinos.

I believe when it comes to crypto casino reviews, this forum is one of the best to get information about the announced crypto casino in this forum.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction without loss of money. on: September 26, 2025, 09:16:30 AM
But let's discuss gambling addiction without loss of money. The reason for distinguishing this particular form of gambling addiction is that it's milder and likely treated differently. What do I mean by this? For example, these are the online games that teenagers enjoy playing. They primarily spend a significant amount of time playing them, which leads to difficulties in school or social adaptation. But since the games are generally free, this type of addiction is generally milder, as such a gambling addict typically wastes a significant amount of time unproductively, but has no financial problems overall. What do you think about gambling addiction without losing money? Do you think this type of gambling addiction exists, or is it a far-fetched problem? If so, does it require a fundamentally different treatment?

This is not gambling but simply playing games.  This is called game addiction.  I think we all know that gambling is something that has to do with stake, risk and reward.  In the given scenario there is no stake, no reward nor risk so we cannot call this a gambling addiction.

Regardless, when addicted, it needs to be treated.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you care who mines your transactions? on: September 26, 2025, 08:20:56 AM
Question: do you care who mines your transactions — or are you happy letting governments do it for you?

I do not care who mines my transaction since I trust the Bitcoin blockchain system.  In fact, I would be glad if the government joined in the Bitcoin mining process.  The more country trying to get involved in the mining activity, the more secure the network is.  Imagine global governments competing for the Bitcoin reward. That would be wow for the security of the blockchain.I also think with countries participating, the network will become more decentralized because each country will have a check on each other not to monopolize the network that can result to 51% attack.
12  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Stablecoins vs. credit cards alin pipiliin nyo jan? on: September 26, 2025, 05:38:30 AM

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we focusing on the wrong market in crypto? on: September 25, 2025, 10:05:50 AM

So here’s the question: is the future of crypto shaped by Wall Street investors, or by ordinary people in weaker economies who actually use it?

What do you think?

I believe it is both shaped by Wall Street investors and ordinary people.  Any kind of adoption is welcome in a growing industry.  In a developing country, I only see them utilize new technology to take advantage of the opportunity given by it.  There is no difference in how people on Wall Street engage in it, since both are for profit, just in a different approach.

If both sides prosper and develop isn't it a good thing for Bitcoin?
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How easy it is to be addicted to gambling? on: September 25, 2025, 08:34:40 AM
I have been gambling for years, maybe I have been addicted to it at some point even though I never noticed, however I'm a little in control of my gambling activities. Something still get me confused regarding gambling addiction that is a hot topic here and I want to get opinion of others on these areas:
  • How do you know you are addicted to gambling

There are guidelines to know whether a person is getting addicted to gambling, one can have a self-check whether he is developing addiction or is already addicted.  Without self-testing on addiction, one can never realized or notice that he is addicted especially if he is somehow carefree.

Quote
  • How easy it is to be addicted to gambling?

This is dependent on an individual.  Some have high resistance to gambling addiction while others can easily get addicted to gambling

  • Can an addicted gambler work himself out of that addiction without help from anyone, if yes, is it still addiction?

I believe there are some cases that a person gets himself out of addiction but it would be easier with outside factor help.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is prevention better than cure? on: September 25, 2025, 06:58:22 AM
Is it better to avoid addiction in the first place by completely devoiding yourself of doing that activity instead of playing and getting addicted only to try and recover afterwards?

It makes sense when one wants to avoid being a gambling addict, they tend to avoid gambling.  I agree that prevention is better than cure, but I think it is not applicable in all cases.  Like, if one doesn't want to get fat do they have to avoid eating?  If one doesn't want to get into a road accident, do they have to avoid streets?  I think the best action for this is to deal with all things with caution.  Have awareness and knowledge about anything we do, and be responsible enough to know the limit.

For me, gambling is neither bad nor good; it is up to the user on how they will make use of it.  It can be both beneficial and harmful, so avoiding gambling at all may make someone miss some good experiences while obviously avoiding the possible self-inflicted harm.
16  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔷Aark.digital | Bet Crypto 1000× & Play Tiles on Arbitrum on: September 25, 2025, 04:09:15 AM
What we have to come to terms with is that, gamblers that have little control over their gambling activities, most especially those that doesn't have a limit control will must definitely fine a way to blame whatever outcome they face and in as much as that is, we have to come to terms with such realities playing out such characters from irresponsible gamblers will definitely pop up time to time.

Whether gambling is good or bad is defined by the person who is engaging in gambling.  There had been studies and even testimony from people that gambling when done responsibly is helpful or beneficial to individual, social and economy.

Anything that is done excessively is bad even medication that suppose to cure people can poison people.  In short, let us use and engage with things responsibly.

First we must have to deal with them in a case to case level and coming out with our conclusions such as in a way that we point out the areas both the gambler and the casino have not played they roles effectively that results into this kind of situation outcome.

Casinos and platforms that integrates gambling is a business, although these platforms want to profit, they never force anyone, all the decisions are from individuals themselves, so I do not think platforms should be blamed for people who spend excessive time and money to fufill their dopamine's demand.

18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you said "never again" after a huge gambling loss? on: September 23, 2025, 07:11:31 PM
1)How often do you end up regretting a big loss after gambling?

I seldom end up regretting a big loss after gambling.  I often have a fixed budget every time I engage in gambling activities, and it is very rare for me to get trapped and keep on depositing.  The good thing is that, when I experienced this kind of situation, I learned a lesson from my mistake and do a planning on precautionary measure to not get trapped again.

Quote
2) Does that regret actually make you change the way you gamble, or do you just move on and keep playing?

It does in someway since I get more careful when engaging in gambling and yes I just move on and keep on playing.

Quote
3) Could it be that regret itself is part of the cycle that keeps us coming back to gamble?

No I do not think it is regret but the entertainment and possibly the chance of winning big that keep us coming back to gamble.

20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Slots reminder:playing longer doesn’t mean you’ll get luckier. on: September 21, 2025, 04:51:09 PM
You've probably heard people say, "The longer we play, the better our chances of winning jackpot." But in reality, it’s often the opposite and such a mindset can be a trap. Each spin is a independent event, and every second doesn't increase your chances of winning in the next spin.

But I notice that although each spin is independent from each other, the longer one play on the same slot, the harder it is to trigger bonus round.  I have experience this everytime I got hooked in one game.  At the beginning bonus round can easily get triggered and often times normal spins give a huge win but the longer I stay on the same game the harder it is to hit even in a normal spin and the series of dead spin increases while hitting gives less and less winnings.
