I think Origin will try to introduce their own platform now they have seen how PL works.

Personally I think PL should be looking to secure deals with distributors and generators and look to on-board customers on their own back. For a nominal monthly fee PL could turn this around as a revenue generating platform here in AU and help cut out the retailers.

Sparkz are pegged to the lowest denomination of the local currently($0.01USD in the U.S, $0.01AUD in Australia etc) and are used and traded on a private blockchain. In AUS I could sell 1kWh for 25 sparkz as an example as a kWh cost $0.25.

A user with solar, registered on a PL platform can sell their excess generated electricity on the platform for sparkz to someone on the same distribution network(power grid)without solar and when they have 10 000 sparks they could cash out and get $100 worth of POWR which they can transfer to exchange and convert to another coin or fiat.

The same could be done in reverse, buy POWR on an exchange and convert it on the PL platform for Sparkz and use that to buy energy from someone on the same distribution network

Same issue here, I switched to XMR-STAK and got a higher hashrate with tweaking anyways so sticking with that

17 hours without a block is not normal, something is up.

Sure it makes to eligible for a franchise but you still need the capital to:
A) Start the franchise
b) Comply with local, state, federal regulations
c) Comply with local tax

Essentially the 10k tokens just gives you the option of becoming a franchise, I don't think there would be many countries where this would take place, especially in heavily regulated countries.
