1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: October 12, 2017, 01:41:14 AM
Lyra2v2 on HashRef... Giving the best profit in poor times as long as there are a few miners with strong hashing power and server don't get saturated. Vertcoin probably retrieving the most profit, but it requires patience.
~5$ per 1080Ti.

What is hashref? A mining pool?

How do we Mine this? and stake it.

https://xios.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=gettingstarted

However, you shouldn't mine it with CPU/GPU - use ASIC's or rent hash

I managed to get 0.13 Xios in about an hour of mining with two 1080ti's. So yeah, I think you're right. Haha!

I've been out of the mining game a very long time. I have a couple of 1080 TI's that I've been running nicehash on.

If I wanted to mine this for a bit, which miner should I use for scrypt with these cards that works well with supernova pool?

So, seems like some people are getting their coins back.

I have an honest question. What are the chances that I'll receive my 1.62ish bitcoin back? It might not be a large amount for others, but it took me months to mine this last year.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: February 06, 2015, 04:21:01 PM
News about this situation ? Has someone receive his money?

Nobody receive anything.

That's very bad  Undecided. The people *must* learn to keep their own coins in their personal wallet and not in the various exchanges.

So, I transfer bitcoin to an exchange in order to buy/sell a coin, wait a day, then the exchange goes belly up, and it's my fault?Huh

Why do you have to wait a day ? Make this "trade" , withdraw your coins and enjoy them in your personal wallet (in your pc).

What if the price of the coin went up 20% from the time I sent bitcoin from my wallet, to the time that it was received in mintpal? Can I not wait a day to see how things shake out?

I'm not questioning your advice, I'm just saying shit happens. The mindset that people just let their coins sit in an exchange for months isn't always the case. A lot of people had their coins in their for a day or two, maybe less.

Still owed 1.60817516 BTC, and still pissed about it.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: January 12, 2015, 05:14:38 PM
I'll report my 4.51850274 BTC missing from my Mintpal account.  Loss of investment is one thing but theft is another.  I didn't invest in Mintpal, I speculated in BTC.  And last I checked BTC still was around.  Hope this lawsuit produces some results.  Just glad I didn't have everything in Mintpal.

Exactly.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: January 08, 2015, 01:50:43 PM
Looks like not much progress happened, hopefully the court will do something soon.

has any court in the history of the world ever recovered crypto for 'victims?'

mintpal had a terms of service that said they were not responsible for losses.

Losses on investments, not theft.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: December 10, 2014, 05:16:21 PM
All your defence is bullshit to anyone who wants their money/coin back , you say I don't have the facts

If you know everything , pray tell...

Disclosure is necessary when the customers have been defrauded in the change of ownership deal

Perhaps you are one of them and as such don't appreciate such questions being asked ?  Smiley

Disclosure is not necessary when it could potentially reveal to the opposition what the game plan is.

FYI, I lost 2.8 BTC as well.

I am missing 12.  Cry

So correct me if any of this is wrong the original BTC theft takes places one guy gets all the blame the owners apologize and promise to return all the other altcoins and the remaining bitcoins not stolen. The website now redirects to a 'withdrawal tool' process that doesn't appear to work for anybody.

The facts as I know them :

1. No one has had any of their coins returned regardless of whether they are part of the unlucky stolen bitcoins or not... why not?

2. There has been absolutely no communication whatsoever from Mintpal to their customers about any developments, progress anything they have all our emails yet we have heard nothing still.....why not?

3. The company was bleeding cash fast

I'm still waiting on BC myself another coin 'unaffected' by this scam supposedly

Pretty much.

Mintpal owners or ex-owners need to step up and put their big boy pants on. Or, if they have been doing something behind the scenes, update the community.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: December 06, 2014, 03:01:19 PM
So ask them what the fuck they does with one from the best exchanges. They migrate working exchange to piece of ugly shit. Maybe it was only part of the plan and they are enjoying our money together. BTC is going down, so best business is steal whole exchange and dump all coins.

They sold it, it wasn't them that did that....

They allegedly sold it to a thief who proceeded to rape the  coins
They are at least partly responsible even if they weren't involved in the theft, they should have had a responsibility  to ensure the safety of the customers and that would involve not giving the keys of the shop to a scammer....

I completely agree.

Sorry, but they should reimburse a portion of the money to us with the money they made on the supposed sale of the company. Honestly, this entire thing is shady as all hell.

If the exchange was sold along with everyone's Coins how much was it sold for?

Was the announcement of change of ownership made Before the sale?

Who would sell an exchange that was making a nice profit anyway?

It really does sound shady as hell,we sold the business and immediately the new owner scammed everything but the old owners are completely exonerated...... Bullshit

Does Ryan green/Kennedy even exist and even if he does there's no way to prove they all didn't share the 4000+ btc and blame it on a "new owner"

Bingo!

'Does Ryan green even exist?' - yes he is a real person lol. And no the mintpal guys got scammed also by this pro scammer. There is no obligation for them to do anything right now but they are trying to help get people's coins back so what does that tell you and attacking them doesn't help us.  All of this is obvious if you scroll back and read the thread.

I'm not attacking anyone. I'm just pointing out that they have some blame in this. If they truly are helping, the efforts are appreciated. But, that doesn't absolve them from any guilt, at least from my perspective.

Well, they're currently some of the only ones who are trying to resolve the whole issue anyway. Most people just come along and talk the talk but do nothing.

One of the old Mintpal guys actually attended the court the other day.

Is that because he legally had to or because he feels partly responsible? If it's the latter, then I completely agree with him. He is partly responsible.

Donations:
I'd like to request people to stop soliciting donations here. The donation to legal funds needs to remain voluntary and there is no need to push anyone for this. If you want to donate, do so quietly. If you can't or don't want to, don't worry about it; we will find another way. We are trying our best to make sure that Ryan doesn't get away this time.

V1 coins (coins that failed to migrate to V2 for the most part):
We have already transferred over wallets and user balances of FLT and FAIR to the respective coin developers. With the help and support from the developers of those coins, the users were able to recover their coins. TSLA, KARMA and XMR should tentatively follow next week.

V2 coins (coins that migrated to V2):
As for the other coins, we can't really do much unless we gain control of V2. Ryan is not going to hand over V2 to us due to possible incriminating evidences. It might take some time, but we are hoping to eventually gain control of V2 and find ways to mitigate damages and recover the stolen coins.

Thank you for the update, and if ferdous sees this, I appreciate everything you're doing.

I want to remind everyone that we are possibly left with only one option - lawsuit. Ferdous is claiming that there is enough evidence to win this thing and take back all the remaining funds that Ryan haven't already sold and liquidate his assets to compensate all victims losses. Ferdous has already done enormous work and spend a lot of money on this, but he can't do it alone. What it takes from all of us is a combined effort to pay for the remaining legal fees. In a month time only 23 BTC out of 75 were raised. Only two dozen donations were made and most of the sum was donated by one person, it seems. But what about others? There are many of us who have lost a substantial amount (up to 100 or more BTC) there (my loss - 16 BTC). Are you willing to let Ryan take them and just walk away as if nothing happened? You have begged him, insulted him, cursed him, threatened him and what came of it? We have the last chance to do it right and make him pay. But we are running out of time. The more we wait, the less our chances to succeed. Go back to the first page and look at the photo. Do you want this crook to have your money? I don't. If all of us will donate just 1 or 2 % of our losses, then we can raise the remaining 50 BTC and probably more. To make it easier for you folks I'm willing to donate 16 BTC myself on top of my previous donation month ago. It leaves just 35 BTC left. If even that is too much to ask then we are probably not deserving those money in the first place and are totally deserving to be scammed by Ryan and alike. If you don't think so and are willing to join my effort, pm me.

The problem, and I can only speak for myself, is I didn't have a majority of BTC to begin with. A good percentage of my holdings were in Mintpal, that are now in the hands of this scamming asshole.

If there was an option where we could donate say 10% of the funds that are returned, I'd be all for it. But, to for me to fork over an already short supply of BTC that took me months to mine is difficult for me to do.

Its all well and good pressing for the return of coins in the civil courts but this could take a very long time if at all. The only way to ensure a swift result in cornering and freezing Ryan's funds is to pursue him through a theft claim and let the British Police take action. This is a FREE service and one we can ALL be involved in. Further down the line funds can be found and recovered through the civil courts. If a crime was committed on British soil, anyone, irrespective of nationality can make a stand, so I urge you all to report your loss through http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/. At least you will be personally kept informed should developments occur. It might also give you some comfort that you yourself are doing something about the recovery of YOUR coins.

I have!................... http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ .................. Have You!

I have filed a report.
