1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recovery program beginning in January for PB Mining customers. on: December 11, 2014, 06:49:14 PM
A note to all those posting their customer #, and demanding a refund. 99.99% sure that is not going to happen. The best you/we can hope for is that he continues to make payouts every Sunday, and eventually re-coup the potential losses. Even if he cuts the payouts to 50% or less, its better than nothing, and also a step towards showing he is willing to make restitution.

I have plenty of experience of people owing me $$$, that is beyond what they can come up with on short notice. When you force their hand, a lot of times, they go into hiding. They also develop a ridiculous little bitch mentality of "he's being a dick to me, so I'm not going to pay him back", to justify them not even trying to pay you back. I have found that the best policy is to just "let it be" for a short time to see how they handle the situation. Many times, I have been paid back with interest as a thank you for not busting their balls.

If he does not show any signs of trying to make restitution within the next month or two, than by all means, feature him on your next episode of "will it blend" on liveleak. If he's smart enough, he won't get himself into that type of situation.

Unfortunately the extreme harassment and threats since the posting of a Facebook profile with friends/family information has lead to some horrible losses
Exactly, how could that lead to "horrible losses"? Maybe personal, but not financial. Do you hear all those tiny violins? Nobody cares, they just want you to make right/fix the situation.
thanks to some very shady people with unreasonable demands.
LOL, you have not met any real shady people....yet. "Unreasonable" would only be if they were trying to extort more than what they are owed.
This is an attempt to reach out and give customers what is left, even if it means liquidating personal assets to help.
Maybe not as retarded as some people assumed.
I will start the process now of looking at customers on a case-by-case basis and doing what I can to help.
Oops, I spoke to soon. You are retarded. There will be no "case-by-case" basis. You will have to refund/or continue to pay out ALL mining contracts, or somebody might treat your body as a "limb by limb" basis if you don't revise that ridiculous statement.
Any refunds in December will be aimed at those who have suffered "extreme" losses due to reduced payout.  I will begin to look at the remaining majority of accounts in January.
Again, bad choice of words. Needs a revision. There are certain individuals that would gladly pay $1k+ to ruin your life, even if you only stole $1.00 from them. For some, its not about the money, but more the satisfaction that somebody like you will never have the chance of stealing from anyone else ever again. It may not be wise to have a "pick and choose" mentality right now.
Questions may go unanswered for awhile, but that is because there is a lot of work to do.  Please be patient.
Unfortunately for you, myself and some others are very patient. Make sure you pay close attention to that first word, was not a typo.
Unfortunately it will be impossible to make everyone happy but a very honest attempt will be made.
Nobody is going to believe that "honest attempt" part right now, especially with the self defeating statement of "impossible to make everyone happy". Its not impossible. All that effort you put into trying to steal from people, place the same amount of effort into making sure that everyone is compensated.
For those who are wondering, the owner is not laughing all the way to Mexico.
Good idea, Mexican drug cartels would find someone like you quick, and use you for all their "suicide" runs. I'm sure some people would probably put up fliers to make sure they found you also. A billion fliers in Mexico would probably only cost us $100 american. GROUP BUY!
Losses have been substantial due to complete invasion of privacy and some very harsh blackmail that followed thereafter,
Bringing up that ol' bit again, hold up, we need to get our tissues. Thoughts of suicide? Whoooaa, slow down there charlie! Not before you pay everyone back. You don't want to be known as a little bitch in this life, AND a little bitch in death. On the other hand, knowing that my small investment went towards such a worthy cause, might feel oddly comforting. The less scumbag scammers on this planet, the better.

All that being said. Maaaaaaybe it was not your intention from the get go to steal from anyone, and you got in a bit over your head, mis-managed funds, etc. If that is the case, you won't have anything to worry about, because all of your actions from this point forward will determine everyone's opinion on that matter. You, and the rest of us, just have to hope that somebody without patience does not get to you before you can start to make good on your debt.
3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Definitive proof the owner of pbmining is a scammer on: December 07, 2014, 05:48:12 PM
finally received my bitcoins, although much to late. curious if the founder is on the run trying to buy himself some time

Confirmed, just received payout also.

If the owner of PBmining happens to read this thread, now might be a good time to revel identity. Because if you are not, and/or are not planning to run scams, nobody that has half a brain will be re-investing with you anytime soon after reading this thread. You have a lot to gain, and nothing to lose. Not unless your wanted by authorities for some other previous crimes, than you may be in a bit of a pickle.

On a side note: I have noticed that many BTC related website owners are reluctant to reveal identity when asking the general public to send them money. Why is that? Are they afraid of their government coming to steal all of their profits? Or is it because they don't want anyone to know they are a huge dork living in their parents basement? I could really care less if the latter is the truth, as long as that person keeps sending me profits. I would even go as far to make sure mommy keeps supplying a fresh supply of milk n cookies every day.

Here is a news flash for anyone worried that the government will come take your profits. THEY WILL GET IT NO MATTER WHAT. If not legally by taxes, they will drum up some bogus laws to come "legally" steal it from you, and than "legally" throw you in jail. So you may as well just pay up now, and save yourself from prison time later on. Throw em a bone, n they leave you alone. Unless your willing to pack up and live on some tax haven island, you gotta pay to play.
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Definitive proof the owner of pbmining is a scammer on: December 07, 2014, 03:41:58 PM
Hmmm, interesting. I thought it strange that when I went to purchase another contract on Saturday, the site said "Our hash power is currently sold out". If he was scamming, wouldn't he still be selling, to steal even more BTC before trying to get a way with it?

I will wait to see if the payment is made today/tomorrow before I start making plans to go find him......before the authorities do.

If the authorities do catch him, well, I guess I will have wait, and send a limo to go pick him up from jail on the day of his release.

Who wants to go in on a group buy of cigarettes? They will be used to pay off his cell mates, to make sure he gets a nice a$$ f**king and raspberry strudel every day in prison.

5  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Bitminter client vs bfgminer hash rate using BF1 USB on: January 21, 2014, 03:41:24 AM
Thank you for the fast reply to my earlier questions in the newbie section. When I tried to go back and post a reply, the option for "reply" was gone. I'm assuming I can't post in the newbie section anymore after only one post? Strange.

I tried your suggestion of using bfgminer, and I am still not getting the full hash rate. At least my speed went from .72Ghs to 1.44Ghs, but its still not in the 2.6 range where I think it should be. The bitminter site interface(live statistics) is now synced with what bfgminer is reporting, and I am at 0% rejected. Here is a screen shot of terminal running bfgminer. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8xnHjfkTh1rQzVKNzRNUlVqcHc/edit?usp=sharing.

One weird thing I noticed. When using bfgminer, my BF1 has a solid red flashing LED. When using Bitminter client, the LED blinks Red to Yellow. Anyone know what the significance of this is? Maybe it could help troubleshoot.
6  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Client and web interface questions - miscalculations/work rejected/speed on: January 20, 2014, 12:40:57 AM
Questions about BitMinter client:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8xnHjfkTh1rZG44ZGhTY2lTdUU/edit?usp=sharing
#1. Does this screen capture look normal to you? I am new to mining, so I'm not sure if the amount of miscalculations should be that high compared to all the other numbers. If the miscalculations number is too high, what should I do to remedy?
#3. Are the "work rejected" notifications normal? Should I be getting that many? Again, if not, how do I remedy?

Questions about BitMinter.com web interface:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8xnHjfkTh1rZG44ZGhTY2lTdUU/edit?usp=sharing
#1. The Ghps numbers are not matching up with what the client is reporting as my speed. How do I fix, or is it just a problem on the website side? As you can see from previous screen shot of client, I am getting 2.6 Ghps, but the web stats are only showing .72 Ghps. The "statistics > Shifts(work effort)" tab is also not matching up. It reported "completed (2014-01-18 23:22), duration (2h 12m), difficulty (1,789,546,951), Total Thps (388.Cool, Your Ghps (0.Cool, Your Score (0.000196%), Your Work (1,406). I don't expect to get 2.6 Ghps as an average all the time, but .8 definitely does not seem right.
#2. How should I set up the options for my worker for optimal performance?

If it matters, I am running the client on Mac OSX Mavericks version 10.9.1. I have an ASIC usb "Big Picture Mining BF1 v1 serial 15011a10". I also changed the perks to "pro minter" at 2% to see if the "easy mode" and "non stop minting" would fix things. It did not Sad
