Nxt/Ardor developer Riker has stated that most probably the Ardor launch will be in September.
and the IGNIS ICO? At the same time?

"Also, the snapshot date is not even announced yet and Jelurida will be announcing that soon"
this make me think the date is set and they wait to announce itiginis ICO? i thought that just need to hold next to receive ignis tokens. the total IGNIS available will be 1 billion 500 millions will be distributed to NXT holders the other 500 millions will be sold as an ICO The date is not set yet, at least from my knowledge. I, more than anyone else, would like a date to be set. I get people asking me this everyday, even if it's not my decision to make. Jelurida has announced more information now though: The Ardor Genesis Snapshot will be performed at least two weeks after the end of the last JLRDA sale round. We can infer some information from this because they also stated that the ICO will happen late July or early August and that there will be multiple rounds. |

So let me see if I got this right. The NXT COIN HOLDERS will get 50% and than Ardor TEAM gets the other 50% ?
What kind of equality is that ? Why doesn’t all ardor holders get it as well ?
This is the kind of stuff that makes people question the integrity of the team and the passion behind it, wondering if they are doing it because they believe in it or they want to make some quick gains.
NXT coin holders got 100% ARDR last year. Jelurida and the Nxt Foundation only received as much ARDR as they had NXT. This year, NXT holders will get 50% IGNIS. Jelurida will receive the other 50%. More news will follow shortly from them about that. All NXT holders keep 100% of their NXT. 100% NXT -> NXT holders 100% ARDR -> NXT holders during the snapshot in 2016 50% IGNIS -> NXT holders in Q3 when Ardor is launched |

I think nxt will recover in price next days weeks depends on how much this btc rally goes
Team will pump Ardor not NXT .. What I said earlier was right.. leave NXT and start focus on Ardor will more profitable rather than NXT ... they only collect money in NXT I do not pump NXT or ARDR. The market does that. I do my work to help both platforms gain increased use. Increased use may increase the price. The Marketing strategy is detailed here. Is keeping my nxt in my exchange account valid?
What if I but nxt from polo and keep it there? Do I receive ardor?
Also how does the snapshot system work? If I have 100 nxt starting July 14 and sell half after a week how much will I receive? Is it 50 ardors? 100+50/2= 50 ardors?
Also how long is this snapshot period? Is till the release of ardor? In this case might it not limit nxt transactions.

Hi ashapasa, We're working with the exchanges so you'll be able to keep it there and not have to move it to your wallet. We'll be posting an announcement once things get finalized. The snapshot system for ARDR averages throughout the entire snapshotting period. So if you had 100 NXT at the start and sold all of that halfway (not one week) through the snapshotting period, then you would receive 50 ARDR. However, since you won't have any at the end, you will receive 0 FNX. The snapshotting period is from July 14th until October 12th - about three months. Thanks for intending to buy more! If an exchange has one big nxt wallet for all the customers combined, the exchange's wallet will be used with the snapshots and awarded the Ardor tokens. Depends on the exchange if and how they distribute it amongs their customers.

Would like to hear more about the overall marketing plan for Ardor. Should we start to see more articles soon or will it start to come in when the snapshotting hits in mid July? Hi TravelsAsia, We're having a lot of plans going on Marketing-wise. I don't want to give out too much at the moment, but we're going to try to make it as easy and simple as possible for people to understand what Ardor is and what it can do, as well as introducing them to Nxt since a lot of people who are going to start following Ardor probably don't know what Nxt can do right now. We'll hopefully also be getting more articles once the snapshotting begins, but we have other things set up along the way and after, whether or not the article rush comes in Thanks for being interested! |

It would be simpler to understand if you said buy some nxt, hold them, and you get some free Ardor coins. Explain how anyone holding nxt in his wallet during the following three months gets a share of the new Ardor coin proportional to the number of nxt he holds.
Saying "the Nxt core dev team is letting anyone get into the blockchain space with a new child chain platform, Ardor" is too technical to understand.
I have bought some nxt and want my free Ardor coins, and the nxt price chart shows others are buying nxt to get their share of the free Ardor coins.
I think Ardor is a good idea but it could be promoted better with simpler explanations of how to get free Ardor coins.
Thanks for the feedback! We had to make some concessions with what we were saying as we didn't want things to be too technical and at the same time too simplified. We'll be making announcements catered to the crypto community and the mainstream media separately moving forward. What we meant by that statement is that anyone can create their own chain and use blockchain technology. There's another aspect of it though, which is what makes it a bit complicated, but we're working on simplifying this information as well. In addition to getting Ardor tokens, the total amount of NXT one has will determine how many tokens in the dedicated child chain they will get (tentatively named "FNX"). Hey everyone! Thanks for your interest in Ardor and the positive response to this announcement! I'm marenkar, one of the people working with the NXT/Ardor team and was heavily involved in the creation of this announcement. I used to help out the NXT team as a moderator on the #nxtalk IRC channel (still hanging around there sometimes!) in late 2013, just shortly after NXT launched. I left mid-2014 due to life issues, but I've been slowly coming back since February of this year and this time I'm looking to stay.
