1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Long-term Holder should follow this all rules🔔 on: October 14, 2018, 05:35:51 AM
There are many of us who are very conscious about the coins we hold and many who do not take any precautions. I am sharing this article for them and hope everyone will benefit

If you’re a cryptocurrency holder, you probably love what you’re doing. You’re grateful because you have the opportunity to invest, trade and save a lot of money by leveraging your digital coins.

However, what would happen if one day all your coins were gone? You’d likely blame the hacker at first, but it is partially your responsibility to protect your investments.

Here are some security and privacy tips that will add a significant layer of protection to your cryptocurrency funds.

1. You Need To Secure Your Devices:-

It takes just one security vulnerability for your PC, mobile or tablet to be hacked. I’d suggest you take advantage of a premium antivirus, set your firewall settings to maximum security and take advantage of an antispyware software to regularly check for malicious software. You can also consider using a secure operating system.

2. You Need To Secure Your Wallets:-

The first and most important way to protect your digital currency is to choose a secure wallet. That means you should find a company that offers more security measures than the “normal” wallet providers do. For example, wallets that use encryption to protect the private keys can be much better and safer. Moreover, you can encrypt your data using different crypto encryption providers.

3. Try To Dedicate One Device to Cryptocurrency Only:-[/color]

The best way to add an extra layer of security to your cryptocurrency wallets is to base all your cryptocurrency activities and operations on a single device. You should have a personal PC/phone and a cryptocurrency PC/phone.

Do your best to keep your work device as private as possible by using dedicated IPs and private servers that keep your location, name and activity anonymous.

4. You Need To Back Up All Your Crypto Data:-

Your crypto data is really the most important element of your entire operation. If you ever make the mistake of not backing up your data, you’ll regret it forever. When your PC gets hacked, or when your laptop gets physically stolen, you can always buy another one. However, when a hacker steals all your cryptocurrency funds because they’ve gained access to your data, you’re in a sticky situation. To avoid this, store your crypto data in an offsite place. Use a colocation server, a thumb drive and an encryptedexternal disk.

5.  Don't Use any public Wi-Fi:-

Public Wi-Fi is definitely a no-no for all cryptocurrency holders that want to keep their funds safe. There are many hackers that attack their victims through public Wi-Fi, so you must pay a lot of attention whenever you connect to the web using your phone, laptop or tablet.

Better, don’t connect if you’re not sure. Moreover, make sure that you don’t lend your phone to unknown people. If you’re a student who lives on campus, do not lose sight of your smart devices.

6. Try To Avoid Keep All Your Funds in One Wallet:-

Most of you know the saying “don’t keep all your eggs in one basket”. This advice is actually very concrete and worth following when it comes to our cryptocurrency operations.

That is why you should have two digital wallets that serve different purposes. Through the first wallet, called the “hot wallet,” you will perform all your trading and transactions. The other wallet is called the “cold wallet” or the “cold storage,” and it is the wallet that stores your savings. Back up both your wallets’ private keys and store them offline.

7. Always Try To Enable Strong Authentication:-

If your wallet allows it, enabling two-factor (strong) authentication is absolutely essential to your crypto security. Strong authentication provides an extra layer of security beyond your username and password to protect against account hijacking. Find more information about the types of authentication at lockdownyourlogin.org/strong-authentication/.

8. Regularly Look for Intrusions:-

When you install a clean version of an operating system, you will be able to note the default programs that run in your Task Manager under Processes. Note down that list and know the number of processes that your PC usually opens.

Great hackers are always working silently. They might have infected your PC already and be waiting for the perfect moment to strike. That’s why you should regularly check for new processes that start when your PC starts. If you find something unwanted, you should take action and remove it immediately.

9. Always Use Your Common Sense and Stay Safe Online:-

Lastly, yet most important, you should always use your common sense to stay safer online. Whenever you have suspicions about a link, email, invitation or process that runs under your Task Manager, it’s to better follow your instincts and use common sense.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Important message for traders! on: October 13, 2018, 06:30:08 PM
Nothing new here.

Too much many low liquidity tokens and coins are listed on shitty Exchanges to play with.
Yeah sir specially so many big telegram and discord group doing this type of pump and dump scamm. They choosing maximum shitcoin for this.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Important message for traders! on: October 13, 2018, 06:20:39 PM
Hello guys! today I want to discuss something about "Pump and Dump" groups.
Its very important lessons for a traders specially for new traders. You should be careful about this type of scammer.

Buy low, sell high; do not follow the green candles, let’s pump until 87,000 Satoshis and dump it at ATH (All Time High). These are just a few notable phrases of the chat groups where hundreds and thousands of cryptocurrency traders gather all together to increase the value of an altcoin.

These types of groups, normally referred to as ‘pump and dump‘ groups, are bringing market manipulation to a whole new level. Nefarious crypto traders use secure messaging platforms like Telegram to orchestrate coin manipulation to make a quick buck — at the cost of less experienced traders. If you’re getting into cryptocurrencies, or just curious about the field, you’ll need to know how pump and dumps work. Otherwise you might up being taken advantage of, like I was.

When I got dumped by a ‘pump and dump’

Here
I started trading in cryptocurrency a while back, being a tech savy person I was quite enthusiastic about the technology. I was entirely unaware of these scams at that point, but I was definitely part of some Telegram and Whatsapp groups where people were on daily basis selecting low-priced coins to turn it into a gem for others to hop on. Since newbies always follow the green candles, it’s easy for more experienced traders to use them for their own gains.

But I didn’t notice this pattern until a certain coin — which I was quite excited about — was about to be launched on one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges. The coin looked promising and the exchange even tweeted about it. Everything looked great, but then something happened that I’d never experienced before. Right after the tweet, I started observing how the coin started to inflate in value on other exchanges. But what surprised me the most was that the trading didn’t start on the exchange where it was actually about to be launched.

I waited and waited until trading opened, I was hustling to find the right price to jump in. The price was flickering in front of my eyes from $20 to $18 then from $16 to $19, I unluckily grabbed the coin at $18, hoping it would turn into a gem. But I was sorely mistaken because it suddenly dropped to $9, thankfully I lost my patience at the right time and only lost half of my invested coin. Rest remains history and that coin closed at $2 the same day.

What I figured out later was that I had become a victim of a pump and dump scheme. Unfortunately this is happening far too often in the crypto world and mostly happens with small market cap and circulation coins. It’s really hard to actually stay completely safe and not become a victim of these schemes. The only possible defense is understanding how pump and dumps happen and what kind of people are behind it.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency and ICOs? on: October 13, 2018, 03:37:43 PM
Should I invest in cryptocurrency and ICOs?
It is your choice you can or not. But in my opinion you should invest into cryptocurrency if you have extra money for investment. Cause crypto currency will give you huge profits and benfits if you choose some protensial coin. Also ico is very profitable investment.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and privacy!!! on: October 12, 2018, 08:57:48 AM
One of the prominent feature of bitcoin is it ability to hide the identity of it users and that is why it is term decentralized which never need the involvement of any third party. And I think it will remain like that even in the future.
Yeah hopefully Bitcoin's high security will remain in future. We can use Bitcoin without losing our private information and by this we don't need to worry about our transactions history.

I just want to say that bitcoin with a decentralized system is the most efficient system. If talking about an increase in the secret blockchain system, I think it will go hand in hand with the development of time and technology in the future. Lips sealed
Decentralize system is very effective system for cryptocurrency. I'm very surprise to know that Bitcoin is not a decentralized crypto system. But I will be very glad if they update it in future Wink.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: seems newbie is not welcomed here on: October 11, 2018, 07:28:32 PM
Hi! Welcome to the forum. Dont be offended, your are not the only one. I’ve read a lot of complains about posts being deleted but dont take it personally. Its not deleted because it is a newbie’s post. Posts are deleted for some reasons and its not always because it is off topic. Sometimes they delete a repeated topic or posts. Or it could also be that the whole thread was deleted because similar topic has been created already before so all the other posts under the thread will also be lost.  Dont be discouraged. Feel at home.
It is true sir that so many people complains about this problems. But they don't know some thing that if users replied on any topic and topics get deleted for low quality or similar topic reasons and that's why whole thread has been deleted with all replys. Also if they make very low quality post or off topic unuseful post then their post will get deleted if any moderator saw that.

I would'n say that. I am here newbie too, and never felt like being not welcomed. This is a great forum and community, best in the crypto world.
Exactly sir I also didn't feel that. Cause this forum is for every ranked peoples and members of this forum is very friendly with each others. Also they help each others on every situation.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A query regarding Merits specifically. on: October 11, 2018, 07:07:37 PM
When we make a valuable post, we get rewarded in the form of "merits" here - a system injected to stop spam and encourage high quality comments. But, a question immediately struck to my mind and I thought I should definitely ask this as it's something really interesting.

When a user deletes their post/thread or when a mod deletes a user's posts/threads (least possiblity) due to low quality which has 1 or more merits given to it, what will happen to those merits? As we're aware that merits once given cannot be reverted back, will it still show in addition to the total merits in that user's profile?
Yes, if anyone create any topic on this forum and if anyone give any merits on their topic. Then if they delete their topic or if any moderator feel that their topic is not useful for us then if topic get deleted, their merit will show on their profile. Cause given merits cannot be reverted back.

Hope you understand sir Smiley

The merit stays even if the topic/post with the merit gets deleted.

If you check my merit history, I received 2 merits from a reply I had on this deleted post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5031940.msg45873152#msg45873152

While the thread is already deleted for some reason(I don't remember what the thread was about), the merits are still on my profile.
Exactly what I'm talking about that if your created topic get any merits by anyone and if topic get deleted by any reasons then merits will be on profile.

This is the usual trick of some merits abusers, they delete the post after sending the merits, and then everyone does not know the quality of this post, so you have no evidence to accuse the abuse.
I tend to treat 99% of deleted posts with the merit gets as abuse. Because 99% of the time, high quality posts will not be deleted.
If I find someone(Usually those has only 1 merit) has merit, but I can't find the post when it gets merit, I think that merit is suspicious.
You are right sir. If I'm not wrong So many Bitcointalk user following this way to get merits by wrong way. They create low quality  topic to get merits from their friends who have merits and after getting their merits from others persons they deleted their topic. I think we should be careful about this type of merits abuse.

I believe that merits on a deleted post should be burnt, regardless of the reason for the deletion. The associated sMerits should also be reduced if they have not been spent.
I also agree with you sir. If we get this rules then it will be very good way to stop merits abuse. But I think for getting this rules we need to wait so many days, months or years SmileySmiley
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How i start earning crypto? on: September 25, 2018, 11:57:38 AM
Hello there! I’m a newby here, it seems to me a bit complicated to start earning crypto and also another problem I'm facing to submit the report. I was register for an bounty campaign but i lost the post because there is so many post everyday coming. Thanks in advance.
If you want to earn some crypto without any investment then you can start airdrop and social media bounty. It is very good way to earn some crypto coins. Also if you have some money for investment then you can start trading.

First you need to understand the cryptocurrency. You can try to trade on exchanges but I advise you to start with demo accounts. When you learn you can try on a real account. In parallel, you can participate in airdrop and bounty for this you need social network accounts. I think for the beginning of this.
Absolutely right, before start earning crypto coins you should learn about crypto currency and need to know which bounty is good and real for participation. Cause if you choose any fake bounty, then you will get nothing for your work. Also social media accounts is most important to join a airdrop or bounty.

If you aim to earn your crypto through bounties, then you must work hard to engage a project that is likely to succeed and help it with social media, signature or translation bounty. This is the only way you can increase your stakes in a campaign.
Obviously, you need to work very hard and need to be patience to get something good from a bounty campaign. Usually for a successful bounty we need to wait 2-3 month. So many new bounty hunter can't wait that much time, they want their earning instantly. For this they can't get success.

I am here as newbie and i Will be active in the forum to raise the rank in the order to join the bounty program to get crypto
If you are a newbie then you can't participate on signature bounty. But now you can participate on airdrop and social media bounty. Also you can participate on translation bounty. If you want to get extra benfits by participate on signature bounty, then you need to raise your rank to minimum jr member.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: are you now afraid to save bitcoin until December 2018 on: September 25, 2018, 07:25:54 AM
I saw a lot of news in the media about the price of bitcoin.
and they predict bitcoin can go to the month again in December 2018
and there are some media that say the price of bitcoin will go down and this news makes investors afraid to buy bitcoin.

do you believe the price of bitcoin will rise?
or believe the price of bitcoin will drop!
There have so many fake news about Bitcoin and others cryptocurrecy. Which tries to confuse people. Because of which many people lost faith from Bitcoin. So it is better to refrain from seeing all this news. And I believe the price of Bitcoin will grow very soon before December .

When published bad news about cryptocurrencies market, I think it's the time for buying, and conversely, when good news comes, it is time to sell.
But we should believe in the future of Bitcoin and this market, this is just a downtrend time.

yes, you just say brother, Whenever you see bad news, just it is the right time to buying Bitcoin Because the big whales try to mislead everyone by making fake reports so that they sell all their purchased coins and they can buy it at a small price. So it is good for us to not be distracted by their fake news.

I think the price of all crypto  dropped now because Bitcoin ETF delayed.  All investor and trader look in to this news,  and when Bitcoin ETF approved or denied on 30 of september,  we will know where Bitcoin and others crypto will going next. This downtrend of crypto beyond prediction and really surprise for me,  but crypto will rise again later.
It is true dear, if ETF get approval by 30th September, then everyone is predicting that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency prices will increase in a huge amount. Because then there will be a lot of money in crypto market from different source. Through which marketcap will increase a lot. So when it's delayed, everyone thinks that the price of cryptocurrency will decrease and that's why they become panic.

I don't believe in news at all. Remember one important thing that, bitcoin is in news because it is the hottest topic in the world currently and people always look for its news. This increases the TRP of news channels and thus it becomes the sensational news of the channel. This way they get benefited.

I dont know what people think about this but I am 100% sure that news channels has intentions like this only. They have theories of bitcoin going down without any proof, no backing data etc. Its better to stay away from them.
Exactly, We must always refrain from all these confusing news and have confidence in the technology of cryptocurrency. We have to believe that the price of cryptocurrency will return to the previous place.

These FUD are already been heard and read for so many times before including the Bitcoin bubble issue in which they say that anytime will burst but for the past years these FUD did not happen in which Bitcoin continue to survived. I suggest that everyone should start buying Bitcoin now while it is cheaper to purchase because i believed that Bitcoin price will be ATH again before this year would end as per predicted by most famous Crypto experts.
Yes, we've been hearing this kind of remarks long ago that Bitcoin is a bubble and it will be burst very soon. But bitcoin still survives very well. So it is good for us to not believe in such unreasonable comments. So it is wise to purchase bitcoin as low as possible. Cause bull run will come before end of this year.

Now is the perfect time to collect and save bitcoin. If you had a trust, you will never afraid to save huge amount of bitcoin especially this moment. You will regret your doubts when bitcoin rise again this coming ber months.
Those of us who believe in Bitcoin, they will not be confused at this time, Bitcoin will keep buying at low prices. Just like I have bought some bitcoin at a low price for the right time and I believe Bitcoin will come back to the previous price and end all misconceptions.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Road to Quality Posts on: September 23, 2018, 08:16:45 AM
What it means "Quality Post" ? Should we  write article or something ? anyone can guide ?
Quality Post means you need to create helpful post without any spam. Yes you can create article about cryptocurrency and others helpful topic. Also you can make reply on others persons post to help him.

Hi Twkasun52  (nice name  Grin btw)

When I first joined this forum, I was reading everywhere (just like you do now) "make sure to post quality comments" so this is how I tackled it.

I always try to help as best I can, I mostly hang out here in Beginners and helps forum, there are lot of users seeking help
I take the extra time to research the topic I am about to post about, if need be.
I offer links to quality content about requested topic, if I have any to share.
I look at the question/dilemma through my eyes - in other words, what reply would I like to get.
I offer my honest opinion, if my fellow is seeking it.
Politenes goes a long way, it's nice to be nice  Wink
I never write posts with the thought of getting Merit in return.
I actually never expect anything in return, it shows in your answer (ok, Thank you is always nice).
Enjoying it, makes the whole "task" easier.

Sometimes all this could be just a couple of sentences put together, so you don't have to write any articles (to answer your question). Anyway at least I feel like this.

Sorry for my rumbling, my mind was flying to new heights there a bit  Grin

Anyway, hope this helps, cheers.

Your following strategies very good and if others newbie follow this all rulse then this forum will become more clear and spamless forum. Hopeful people will learn how to make good quality post on this forum by following your strategy.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: sometimes I get posts deleted.. do admins have a quota to fulfil? on: September 23, 2018, 08:00:19 AM
thanks for responding, unfortunately just my posts Wink but as a seasoned poster yourself, do my posts look like they might in any violation ?
According to me, maybe your created post was on wrong topic thread and that's why they deleted your post. I also faced this problem on some times. But still I'm trying to improve my post quality and trying to help others persons.

Happens to all, looks like mods are making a great job here cleaning the forum, and that's great because this is a huge forum, and fill it with trash is not the right way for knowledge. Just remember, sometimes is your post what's get deleted, other times is the full thread. So, the best way to avoid this is to not post on the spam threads or threads who you think mods can delete, and to not get out from the thread topic. That's the right way to roll.
Definitely all moderators are trying to clear all spam and copy past post on this forum. Cause they don't wanna see any useless post on this biggest forum. If you make knowledgeable post for others people than there have no chance to get deleted post and others important things need to follow is don't post wrong post on any topic or reply. I respect mods rolls and I think their job is very essential for this forum.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 3 ETH? on: September 15, 2018, 06:18:13 PM
I've not so much knowledge about blockchain games. So I can't say anything good about this. But I recommend you to invest your 3 eth in some good trusted coins.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETHEREUM OR RIPPLE? on: September 14, 2018, 03:27:50 PM
I've bought both etherium and ripple. Many people say that ripple is not like good coins. But I think the ripple will show itself very quickly.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the useful tips for beginners? on: September 14, 2018, 07:37:23 AM
Your suggestion is really awesome. According to this suggestion, if the newbie runs in the crypt, then they can be saved from many mistakes. Also, I want to say a word for newbie that you do not invest in any ico, without any research.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using ETH for? on: September 13, 2018, 03:20:21 PM
For me, I'm using Etherium for investment into ico and using etherium for buying new tokens and I also using it for trading.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token goes down. Wait or sell? on: September 13, 2018, 10:56:22 AM
If you have some good protensial tokens then you should wait until price increase. Otherwise you can sell out your all shit tokens.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which is better a Long term or Short term investment? on: September 12, 2018, 04:56:20 PM
According to me, short term trade is only for expert trader and if you are expert then it is very profitable and for newbie long term trade is always profitable if you have enough patient.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I give up now? on: September 12, 2018, 02:35:14 PM
Definitely not. Because you can still find out good projects for participation. Then you will realize that you can get big amount from ico projects.
19  Other / Archival / Re: is EVERY ico a scam?? on: September 11, 2018, 05:36:57 PM
