1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do governments lose taxes with cryptocurrencies? on: August 20, 2018, 12:29:42 AM
I'm just going to try to pick apart each thing of what you've said.

Quote
The question and the fear are recurrent. If the government loses money from the collection of taxes, because people are saving in BTC or another Altcoin, will it stimulate the states to regulate the issue?

If you're saving money (or investing) by putting money into an altcoin and not selling it, the government isn't losing anything because you haven't sold yet. They're only going to be losing money if you sell and you don't declare the capital gain THIS IS TAX FRAUD, JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW So based on just putting money into bitcoin years ago and not selling, that's NOT the government losing money. The equivalent in stocks would be buying a stock and not selling it-- like many Americans do.

Quote
Starting from that premise, when you take money from your bank account to turn it into Cryptocurrencies, that money, even if you do not have it, will be subject to taxes.

Not until you sell that Cryptocurrency if you hold it you're subject to nothing.

Quote
In summary, whenever you use cryptocurrencies in conversion between Cripto and FIAt you will be paying taxes, directly or indirectly, for governments it is not a problem, it is for us, that unless we develop, more than technology and the trading market, we develop everything a consumer market without having to go to FIAT, we will be being punished twice.

Well yes, this portion is true.

I just want to stress that the entire crypto community thinks that they're being taxed more than any other investment and this just isn't true if you buy a crypto and sell it within a week you're going to be subject to the same short-term capital gains (which is a much higher rate than the long-term capital gains) which a person who did the same exact thing with a stock would be subject to.

Thanks! That really makes sense. Very useful.

Agree. Thank you for your great explanation. It wasn't so evident to me before. Thanks again!

They certainly will. They were created based on a very good idea and should change our usual paradigm, which should help us get rid of dishonest people and, as a result, create a better world Wink
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Сryptocurrency Phobia - new social phenomenon on: August 18, 2018, 02:54:54 PM
The more various opinions I hear about Cryptocurrency, the more I realize that there is a new kind of phobic hysteria, which appears literally about everything related to Сryptocurrency, e.g. mining, trading, ICOs or lending.
In some cases people provide interesting groundings concerning Cryptocurrency risks and instability.
But in many cases their negative conclusions simply sound like: scam, deception and other "demonizing" statements.
I think this phenomenon spreads around fairly fast.
What's your opinion about it?

Ignorance is not always bliss; sometimes it looks more like curse...
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea officially recognizes cryptocurrency exchanges as financial... 🔥🔥 on: August 18, 2018, 02:47:48 PM
South Korea for now recognizes crypto currency exchanges as financial institutions. It's a GOOD news and BAD news... More info here: https://blockchainmuffin.com/south-korea-officially-recognizes-cryptocurrency-exchanges-as-financial-institutions

To me it's a very good news. I have no problem with (KYC) and (AML) things.

Agree. Unless you're engaged in any criminal activities, you should be happy about that. What's the problem with (KYC) and (AML) if you are not a criminal, right?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want you to panic :-> on: August 18, 2018, 02:36:10 PM
It is natural the price is sometimes volatile, but do not look bitcoin in present look at it as a long term. You just need to have patience, that's the tool.

I feel you're right, we should regard it as a long-term instrument, in which case the odds of gaining are far better. It's important to keep in mind that under no condition can we panic. Just don't read the news and don't check the price every second and keep calm.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be calm when the market falls on: August 17, 2018, 11:24:55 PM
One strategy that works best in times of fall in the market is to remain calm, and not allow yourself to be blown by panic. Just hold the tokens with large caps and even if possible, buy more tokens and hold. For some coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, it is always certain that whenever there is a fall, there is definitely going to be a rise.

What will you do when the market falls?

You're right, but I know it's not easy for so many of us Wink
I, for one, never get too nervous just because prior to joining the crypto community I have learned my first and probably one of the most important lessons taught by an experienced trader who clearly explained the importance of not investing more than you are ready to lose. This helps me stay calm no matter what Wink
Hopefully, this helps the rest of us keep calm and do what we gotta do! Cool
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Be greedy! on: August 17, 2018, 11:05:47 PM
...While trading never be greedy....

Talking is different than doing, you know. I mean, people who are into trading are usually and naturally a little greedy, at least. So, it's not that easy to resist that feeling. I wish we all could be that strong... Wink
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please Explain on: August 17, 2018, 10:53:13 PM
I dont really get you guy's whenever you encounter situation like this you panic because the price goes down.

If you really trust this technology why are you losing your hope everytime there is  a small storm coming on bitcoin? Panicking makes you blind on what you really need to do, Instead of investing more because it is a good opportunity to buy you are selling your bitcoin's and taking your loss.  Cheesy

This is what those whales really want to happen wait for the price dump and take that opportunity to invest more while you are selling your bitcoin on cheaper prices.

I hope this post will enlighten your mind.  Smiley

I believe it's because they're newbies who were attracted during the last ATH hype wave. They only witnessed the high point of BTC price without any historic perspective, so their picture of he world is quite distorted and they see it in quite a different way than you do.
This should be the main reason for panic, I guess.
I feel they should be grateful to you for keeping their pants and coins on Cool

The rules are good, but should be refreshed every now and again. Thanks!
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't worry, Bitcoin will be fine. on: August 08, 2018, 10:22:32 PM
This reminder is for people who haven't spent enough time in the crypto market and thus may get nervous.
Thanks! I believe it helps.
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Alternatives to death penalty? on: August 08, 2018, 07:16:51 AM
Death penalty has its pro and con but I think it has little effect on reducing crimes. Though it does help reducing cost spent on prison. What do you guys think? Is there alternatives to punishing crimes?

Death penalty decrease the number of criminals in the world so it's still helpful. I would suggest that people who will commit heinous crimes and  drugs should have an isolated prisoned where they can't talk to anyone and just alone. It would traumatized that they won't want to do any crime ever again.

All issues related to death penalty have a certain gray area, i.e. what if a person was set up? What if he or she didn't commit whatever they are charged with? Won't death penalty be a crime against an innocent person?
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We need more moral education on: August 08, 2018, 07:08:36 AM
Nowadays all countries only pay attention to the academic, they never pay attention to the moral education anymore, now more people are very rude and don't respect elders anymore, and we come to one point where people hackers are cool, people are proud to be hacker, don't they realize that hacker are actually stealing from other people?

Nowadays scammers are everywhere, and they proud to be a scammer and called their victim an idiot who falls into their trap, they got no shame anymore to do bad things, I think all of this happen due to the lack of moral education

Moral education supposed to be taught at school and the parents also need to responsible to teach their children, moral education can make the world become better place to live

Your idea is good, but who is to determine what morals are? These could vary significantly from culture to culture. I don't know. This issue sounds insolvable to me, which doesn't make it less important.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: August 08, 2018, 06:31:34 AM
It sure is, cause if it weren't, most people in most countries would have a lot higher standards of living and better infrastructure, etc., etc.
Is there a way out of it? I don't know...
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money on: August 08, 2018, 05:56:47 AM
Of course, we need to regulate digital money because we want the digital currency market to develop and grow, but we can't expect it to grow without trust. So, when digital money is regulated, people will trust it more, they will feel protected and safely join the digital community
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GOOD NEWS!!! South Korea on BITCOIN on: July 25, 2018, 08:17:24 PM
I guess, acceptance of cryptocurrencies by an influential player, which South Korea seems to be, is a huge step towards the global financial freedom. Way to go!
