2  Economy / Computer hardware / SOLD! [WTS] [USA] 13x DragonMint T1 16 TH miner with PSU on: July 03, 2019, 09:48:11 PM
Hi all,

EDIT - THESE HAVE SOLD AND ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

I am selling 13 DragonMint T1 bitcoin miners with power supplies. 9 of them are brand new in box. 4 of them were used for about one month with no issues (no box). I ordered these from Halong Mining back in 2017 and received them the following spring. I unboxed and ran 4 of them for a month before running into heat and ventilation issues. I took them offline while i investigated other options but couldn't find anything cheap enough. I've been holding them ever since. Due to electricity costs in my area they are not currently profitable for me. I need to sell them to clear out space. They are still profitable if you have cheap electricity, though.

I am asking $550 in BTC for each *unopened* miner. And I am asking $400 in BTC for each *opened* miner. The price includes a power supply (also purchased from Halong) and shipping in the lower 48 states via UPS. The buyer pays for shipping if outside of the lower 48 states. I will only ship to locations served by UPS. I can also meet in person if you are close to the West Michigan area.

Escrow is available at buyer's expense via anyone on this list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.msg24991775

I am open to offers if you're interested in buying multiple units.

Thank you.

Buyer and seller share the finalized transaction details with the escrow, how much the buyer is paying and for what exactly, etc. Buyer sends the escrow the funds to cover this purchase + the escrow fee. Escrow lets seller know that the funds have arrived and to go ahead and ship the purchase. After arrival, depending on the item and the terms of the deal, the buyer usually gets a small window (~24 hours) to ensure the item is in working order and as described by the seller. If the item fits the description, buyer notifies the escrow and escrow releases the funds to the buyer.

Edit: Yes, one of the forum escrows like OgNasty, MinerJones, etc.

Sounds good to me. Let me know how you want to proceed. PM me if needed and I can give you my personal email.

Will you accept the use of a forum escrow for this sale?

Yes, if you are referring to someone on this list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.msg24991775#msg24991775

Though I have never used a BTC escrow before so you may have to help me through the process. Do you just send him/her the BTC while you wait for the package to arrive, then they send it to me? Or is it some kind of multi-sig setup?

All 6 miners are still available. Knocked the price down to $550 per unit (includes PSU).

PM me if interested.

Hello!

I am selling 6 DragonMint T1 bitcoin miners with power supplies. They are brand new in box. Never used. I ordered 10 of these from Halong Mining and received them this spring. I unboxed and ran 4 of them for a month before deciding that I can not run the other 6 without having some serious heat and ventilation issues. I continued to search for a place to run all 10 but could not find anything cheap enough. Now they are just collecting dust. They are still profitable if you have a place to run them and access to cheap electricity. Unfortunately, I do not.

I am selling the 6 unopened miners. I am asking $550 (paypal) or equivalent in BTC for each miner. The price includes a power supply (also purchased from Halong) and shipping in the lower 48 states via UPS. The buyer pays for shipping if outside of the lower 48 states. Will only ship to locations served by UPS. I am open to reasonable offers if you're interested in buying multiple units. I can also meet in person if you are close to the West Michigan area.

if you are in USA, you might want to send it to us and get it fixed or replaced

Yes I am in the US. Is this a known issue that you've seen before? Also, I wasn't clear in my last post but this is happening on every T1 that i've tried from my order, which is 4 so far. I have 6 others that I haven't unboxed yet.

Hi all. Am I the only one who can't update the firmware on my T1s? They just freeze when I initiate the update and I have to cycle the power to get them back. If it matters, I ordered from batch 1 and received them in late march with the rest of the batch 1 shipments. So whatever firmware it shipped with was likely the earliest version.

More details:

I use the web interface. Others have said that the firmware update page has an option to "get the latest stable version". I do not have that. I only have a single input field to upload a firmware file from my local PC. I've tried multiple different versions and all seem to have the same effect: As soon as I select the firmware file and click the update button, the status says "uploading", and then nothing else happens. The progress bar stays at 0%. I've also noticed that the miner drops off the network almost immediately after clicking the update button. I've waited and waited and it never shows any progress and the miner never comes back on the network.

I can cycle the power and it works fine again. So I am not bricking it. But it's frustrating not being able to update the firmware.

Any help would be much appreciated!
