2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This Brazilian Bank Is Using Ethereum to Issue a Stablecoin on: December 18, 2018, 04:25:49 PM

First of all, many stable coins work on ETH network, USDT and GUSD are part of that list.
Second, a stable coin is just as centralized as fiat and you have to trust the issuer they'll do all the needed things to keep the price stable.
Now, with such silly politicianistic nonsense as in the quoted text, I would clearly stay away from this coin (even more than the other stable coins).

I think this bank just want to some advantages of cryptocurrency to operate their system.

10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Buying new Pc Vs adding ssd to actual Pc . on: December 02, 2018, 03:54:27 PM
very slow to boot and launch applications

This is a problem with HDD. I think your PC performance is good enough. If you don't need to upgrade other parts, just buy a new SSD. I replaced my HDD from 5400rpm to SSD and reboost now just takes 10 seconds instead of 1 minute.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Faster crypto transactions? on: December 02, 2018, 03:47:59 PM
How can they remain alive when there are corporations preventing them from emerging?

I think no one can prevent them, but they kill themselves. They are charmed by the big profit from exchange but they don't claim that their exchange is redundant when there are a lot of big exchanges which are running well. I think no experienced traders want to trade in a new established exchange.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Faster crypto transactions? on: November 30, 2018, 12:37:18 PM
I guess there are 1000+ exchange platform launching per year. But how many are there still alive? Or just a scam exchange after its owner have enough fund to "go to moon"? I have never care about them. Because, indeed you only need 1 or 2 exchange platforms for trading. Don't try to trade in new exchange due to its bonus, you are able to lose all asset in it.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: Cryptocurrency mining in mobile phones on: November 30, 2018, 12:30:25 PM
Have never tried mining with a phone. Can you do it with your own phone you use daily? Will it slow the phone down too much? Sorry, not really familiar with mobile phone mining.

No, if you use your phone to mine coins, it will be very slow. Because it uses all resource for mining. And my advice is never try to mine coins by mobile phone. Because you will probably not earn enough money to buy new phone from mining.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: Cryptocurrency mining in mobile phones on: November 29, 2018, 10:01:00 AM
You use the unused phones to mining. Why do you care about virus? You can take it to phone service shop to check it. Or simply download an antivirus app to scan it.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can nanobots cure cancer? on: November 28, 2018, 05:08:27 PM
Yes and no. Transistors are already smaller than blood cells. Powering the transistors are quite tricky; they could run using biological engines.

However, it's quite difficult to build machines to detect "cancer cell vs normal blood cell" at a nano scale. I was reading some about electrical impedance to detect HIV in cells to systematically destroy blood cells that hold that; but it seemed like a nearly dead end (even with traditional machines).

Thank you for helpful information. In my opinion, people can scan to detect cancer cells, so I think if they can create nanobots that are small enough to touch to cancer cells, they will have solution for detecting it.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: what do you think about using renewable energy sources? on: November 26, 2018, 04:56:47 PM
I think each of them has different strengths and weaknesses. So I think it is better to use different types of renewable energy to gain more benefits. Because that can help to overcome the weaknesses of each other.
