1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bter.com withdrawal code problems on: July 21, 2014, 07:46:33 PM
I also had the same withdrawal code problems.

What finally worked for me was:
1. Resetting the fund password for the 2nd time (to something other than my original pw)
2. Check my spam email folder to reset it.
3. Log back in with my original (old) password
4. Use the new fund password to withdrawal

Weird.

Any ideas considering the future of this coin?

The future plan is to work on black-owned businesses and charities to accept MLK coin. Based on the acceptance of that, MLK Coin can start to take life.  I welcome any other suggestions and ideas.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [REQUEST] New coin (MLK Coin) need seed nodes. Can you help? on: May 06, 2014, 11:44:06 AM
We're looking for a few individuals, preferably with a permanent connection, who would be willing to run the daemon of MLKCoin as a seed node.

If you have a VPS/Server or even a Pool running the daemon this would be great.
RPC Port: 6744, Network Port: 6745.
You'll want to have forwarded ports on the router so you'll get the most connections.

The windows source files and qt client:

Let me know if you can help!

Checking with the dev for the node information.
I'll post that as soon as I receive it.

Other constructive feedback welcomed.

    More to come!

Initially the only coins that will be available will be those distributed to black charities and black-owned businesses to be listed on our web site and Twitter as they accept. Coins will be dispersed in installments, again as to protect flooding the supply at any given time. If adopted as a fund-raising and transactional medium, MLK Coins are expected to gain value and flourish as their demand increases.

Supply - At just 2 Million total coins, MLK Coin will be among one of the rarest alternative cryptocoins available. Many times rarer than BitCoin (21M), LiteCoin (84M), DogeCoin (>100M), NameCoin (21M), AuroraCoin (30M), or BlackCoin (No Limit). Scarcity is important as many coins have too much supply and not enough demand which tends to diminish the value and longevity of the coins.

Demand - MLK Coin will be only 10% pre-mined allowing for miners to effectively mine coins and enter them into the market place fairly over time without flooding the market. In time, certain exchanges are expected to open up trading of MLK Coin so that the general public can buy and sell coins.

For more information visit our website at http://www.MLKCoin.com and follow us on Twitter @MLKCoins.

10 BTC to become a recognised donor is pretty stiff at today's Bitcoin price...

Over 15% of the annual household income in the US - extremely stiff. I considered donating until I saw what they consider a reasonable minimum donation.

The VIP level they have set just proves neglect. If I donate $35,000 a half purple coin under my name isn't going to cut it - they better be curing cancer.

I'm guessing that was set when a BTC was worth $1.  Maybe that should be updated to add to activity.  $1 per 1 Activity Point?
9  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 01, 2014, 08:43:34 PM
So what's the comparison Annual Percentage Rates when you take into account you're renting at PB vs owning at Cex and the fees?  Something like 25%?   And do you feel Bitcoin will go up that much in the same time?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New site for analysing crypto coins on: March 26, 2014, 08:16:41 PM
Can you add in the total circulation as well, if known?  BTC 21M, LTC 84M, AUR 10.5M, CAT 21M, etc...

I think that would be a great way to reference the eventual Supply line and you almost have it already.
No one else seems to have this info at a quick glance.

A big thanks if you can!

PS Love your site, i frequent it every day.

As long as we can access the coins after it is taken off CryptoRush, then that's probably the best move.
We really need to shrink the supply, 2.2 Billion is way too much.

MaxCoin is considering cutting the rewards to drop their supply from 250M to 100M.
Something like that would be a huge help.
Too much supply, no demand = no value.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New site for analysing crypto coins on: March 18, 2014, 02:59:59 PM
Love the site, I view it every day.

When you get a chance, please add Aphrodite Coin (APH).
It's trading on Poloniex now.

Based on the popularity of AUR, SPA, and MZC, this one should make it into the top 100.
Focuses on Cyrpus.

Thx.

If you want to give this coin life, have it represent something bigger.

1. Donate a percentage to Civil Rights.
http://www.naacp.org/

2. Associate it with M.L.K.

"Poop and Scoop"

I was looking that huge drop on 2/10/14 and thinking that might have happened, but it's too drastic.
Strange though it appears on Litecoin and Bitcoin charts.   Someone was in a panic to sell a large position I guess.
