For me it works intermittently (is that correct english? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) ). Same here. Today's morning everything seemed to work fine, currently Mt.Gox Websockets are down for me. But: BitcoinWatch.com's Telnet Stream shows their orders - live! So there must be any working interface... MtGoxLive.com is also running fine.

My ws client has been trying to connect for an hour now, is the websocket down for me only?
It's down for everyone. java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Native Method) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.doConnect(Unknown Source) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connectToAddress(Unknown Source) (...) MtGox should really think about some QA or at least a 2nd developer in it's team...

good! websocket works for now!
Yay! :-) "avg" is average volume by trade?
I think it's the average price. (As I guess by it's value...) what mean "trade_type":"ask"? trade raised by ask order?
and where is depth channel? no datas for it. will it appear in the future?
Looks like this is "the new" depth-channel... Best regards, dev^

Has anyone Else seen this? These IPs do seem to be related to DDoS alright, a quick google of 209.200.185.88 leads to http://www.prolexic.com/ a company specializing in DDoS protection "5 out of 10 world's top banks rely on Prolexic" Although Googling the others seem to bring up proxy sites? Anyone know what this is about? my knowledge of this sort of thing is somewhat limited. Normal proxys act transparent, in this case it seems to be for a short time not. (You have to configure your webserver to use the IP submitted by the proxy, instead of the "requesting IP") At least in this case, it's nothing we should worry about. It can occur if they switched, e.g. in case of any running DDoS, first to the DDoS protection and then reconfigured their webservers some minutes later.

There will be no starting price. The market will set the price by placing buy and sell orders.
I would expect when the market opens the best buy offer you will see is ~$5 and the best sell you will see is ~$20. The spread will gradually lower until orders begin to be matched. That will be the new market price.
This. And nothing other, this actually says how (any) market works. Mt. Gox can't give any price (in an auction model), they just can set the initial ticker value (but this says nothing).

Got no reply. Balance is (was?) ~1 BTC and 70 US-$.

What else do you expect them to do?
Deliver helpful status informations.

I'd guess most users just want to grab all their BTC/$ and get the hell out of there... Mt. Gox lost all trust due to their "crisis management", in my opinion.

so all the delays are just a scandal to calm us down while they withdraw all the cash and flee?
Maybe anybody who's familiar with BlockExplorer might take a look into this: http://blockexplorer.com/address/1KLahQtqDNAXvrjNyfvgSBtAhwco5ZxLp4They've moved [ at least I'd read this so] all of those suspicious 432K BTC in smaller 5K blocks and distributed those also in some other way. (but, it could also be some good sign, if these were the user's wallet.dat files)

Goto blockexplorer, look at all the movement in the 2 blocks following [19:15:36]
Please keep in mind, that - at least all times from my logfile - were GMT +2 (as I'm from Germany).

Please post link to data about transfer volumes during attack.
Here you have a log of all Mt. Gox trades between 19:15:36 and 20:13:51 (GMT +2). Maybe it's usefull in some way. The file was produced by the debug output from some of my monitoring tools. https://rapidshare.com/files/624965338/history.txt

What might happen with those users who didn't enter an email address? (including me...) How can they log in again, if all passwords were resetted? ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) Perhaps they didn't reset all of them? I hope so...

( Fuck.) @Dennis1234 Für MD5 gibt es Rainbow-Tables... 2 Sekunden.
