How and when is the random prosperday decided? Obviously the next one is already somehow chosen, or we would not see a countdown for it? I think it'd be more interesting if we did not know in advance at all. Every day could be a prosperday, and one would not know until the rewards start to grow. This would cause a rush of interest when miners adapt and the words spread around.

Isn't there the problem where one pool having over 51% of the hashrate results in more orphans for other miners and pools?

My pool at http://prospercoin.treasurequarry.com:37373  has just found its first block but it ended up orphaned.  Not sure how worthwhile it'll be running a pool if one designated "official pool" continues to have the huge majority of the hashrate.

If that is correct, it ought to be near impossible to solo mine. But I have been solo mining Prospercoin with just one gpu and finding blocks as recent as yesterday ( February 3). I'll run a test right now. with a R9270X and 300 khash/s.

Test result: found one block giving 10 prospercoins within one hour. Three hours later no more blocks are found. The one that was found by then has 72 confirmations, and 'matures in 48 more blocks'.

Conclusion: solo mining is still feasible with this coin, even with us that do not have dedicated mining rigs, but just a pc with a graphics card.

Will hire artist, we will still keep old coin Logo Cheesy, will find the way to work on that
What did the new logo represent? I tried to make out something Chinese in it, but what I see looks rather like a combination of a sickle and a crescent.

Anyway, it would probably be a good idea for a Prospercoin design to attract the Chinese demographic.

How do I calculate how many prospercoins have been generated? Can the number be found somewhere? It would also be interesting to have a prognosis of the total supply within a month and within a year.

What is 'new fair start' supposed to mean? What is this thread for? It already started and it already has a thread.

I'm getting my found blocks accepted at last. But they appear in 'transactions' with an address in the client for a few seconds, then disappear. What is going on?

cgminer accepted blocks: 0
rejected: 171

I hope I will get a least some block.... some time  Angry

Difficulty and networkhashps is dropping. So I find this little coin works great for solo mining. I just found my third block while mining at 300 khash.

If it is correct that there was no premining, and with a reward of ten (besides bonus) every 120 second block, there will just exist a small amount of these coins for a long time.

I'm a newbie in cryptocurrencies, and I am trying to make sense of the claims that this coin will be valuable.

Original announcement:
"50 coins per block
Reward halves every 810,000 blocks"

Client now says the block is at 24172.

That means there are 1208600 coins out there.

It might seems as a valuable coin for those that presently don't even manage to mine one coin in 24 hours. But there are others sitting on more than a million coins?

How much of those coins were generated early, for instance the first two days of the coins existence?

I don't know if this block explorer is genuine, but I guess that it can be used to answer such a question for those that know more:

It seems to me, though I don't know how to prove it, that a very large proportion of the coins were generated early.

I tried mining MTC just about 1 or 2 days after the release and was able to get only 5 after about 24 hours Sad

If anyone wants to share some love, here's my address: MPRd1qH2bJ6vnajcDFYL1TCVWW7x1sNH46

I started to mine at ypool a couple hours after they started with the coin, and got 18 coins in the first 24 hours, with four cpu's. Then it slowed to a crawl.

So explain to me how this coin was not instamined, considering that there was very quickly over a million of them:

610 SEK var da enormt billig for 1 BTC!
Kurs pr. i dag: kjøp: 954.50501 USD sal: 955.00000 USD = 6224.02 SEK
