1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Problem with 2 Gigabyte R9 280x on: January 25, 2014, 03:01:41 PM
Hello guys,

I have two Gigabyte R9 280x OC rev 2.0 on an MSI Z77A, runing cgmine 3.7.2 with:

-g 2 -w 256 -I 13 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --shaders 2048

Without overclock, and without any kind of risers.

My best results it was getting one of them pushing up to ~750k hashs (other on ~700k hashs).

I already make some tests and the results got a bit wierd.

- Tried to switch power supply cables from on to another, and didnt make any diference.

- When i connect them both on slot 0 (near cpu) and slot 2 (out side), i get these:

slot 0 :: gpu 0
slot 2 :: gpu 1

- When i switch them, i get the same results, on slot 0 i get the highest result, slot 2 lowest.

- I tried to connect them individualy, on slot 0, 1 and 2, and i didnt get higher that 700k hashs.

I dont know if i am having a problem with drivers since i dont have the latest installed:

Latest driver:

                          Display Driver ver. 13.251
                          OpenCL(tm) Driver ver. 10.0.1348.5
                          Catalyst Control Center ver. 2013.1206.1602.28764

I dont have the computer near me to try, so i wrote these topic to know if anyone of you had a similar problem and how did you solved.
