Looking good. Any update on the mini's release?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MiNinG iS DeAd on: October 29, 2018, 08:50:34 PM
The matter is simple, if you believe that altcoins will once again grow and give a good earnings, then just mine further without looking at the cost of electricity.

Really? Why not just "buy" the coins directly instead of "paying more" for their electric bill of mining? Roll Eyes

Exactly! mining at a loss is the same thing at buying above market price.

What features are to be included in the upcoming mini firmware mod? we can already OC them as is.

Just noticed the 450+ million increase to circulation, now more than double what it was before. Has there been a private placement, or is the stat an error?
Where are you seeing this?

Well deserved punishment for Bitmain.
How does this punish Bitmain? they already sold the A3s into obsolescence well before this fork anyway.

"To the best of my knowledge, no ASIC mined coin has ever been hit by a 51% attack*"
it happen to pretty much every equihash coin(except zec)when asics came out
I suspected that had to be going on seeing global hashrate spikes double for just a few minutes a few times a day on these smaller coins.

guys guys, it's not about how powerful your processor is.

the hashes found will put you into a lottery system where winners will be picked at random and only the winner will receive the tokens.
Exactly this, well described
The way I understand it each hash found puts you in the lottery system that gets drawn every 30 seconds. however only 1 ticket per miner per lottery cycle gets counted so if your CPU isn't strong enough to hit a share every 30 seconds yes, you will be at a bit of a disadvantage. If you are hitting multiple shares per cycle then that extra work is going to waste. I could be wrong about this but that's how understand the way I read it.

So this is basically a last ditch effort to make their dead on arrival obelisk miner relevant?

What happened to the trade volume yesterday?
From fragments of a BTC to 13 BTC, allofit on HitBTC.
I'm curious to this as well since deposits still appear to be closed from my end.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the new AntMiner DR3 (Decred) on: September 25, 2018, 04:50:42 PM
The equihash algo is huge, and it kicked out gpu miners, dcr network hashrate is not as vast, only one coin to mine whIle equihash has many, z9 mini use little power, this does not.

Exactly! I'm getting a serious dose of Bitmain's A3 Siacoin miner deja vu here. The only coin on that algo (blake2b) and it got completely destroyed in what? 2? 3 months? I'm not falling for this shit again.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer Z9 mini overclocked on: September 21, 2018, 03:49:23 PM
how cool you're keeping the miner/room, and some luck. To troubleshoot, I always first reboot the miner and keep an eye on it. If it can't hold the freq that it used to be able to handle, then I try to figure out what changed. In all of my similar situations, the change was always the temperature in the room (one time I moved a miner to a hotter location, another time the A/C went out). Once I got the miner back to the same room temperature conditions it was in before, it worked like before. These boxes are a little finicky at the higher freq.

Yep, doesn't make sense to me because they never go above 70c. yet when they do die it's only during the hottest part of the day despite regardless of fan setting.

There is no magic to it, just flash batch 1 firmware
Guess now we know why they delayed the shipment. Had to patch their hole. But the real question did they lock flashing the firmware too?

Do you know with a 750 the miner is slower than 700 ?

when I set up Z9 mini at 700 I get 15.5 Kh/s while at 750 14.5 Kh/s !
This is not correct. You need to be looking at the average hashrate taken over a long period of time, I assume you are either looking at the current hashrate (it fluctuates quite a bit) or not giving enough time to calculate an accurate average.
my average at 750 is 16.95 Ksols/s over the past 24 hours. Sometimes into the 17s

Actually he is correct. Every batch 2 i have played with either has a reduced hashrate or none at all when running at 750. Personally I cant push mine past 675 without dropping boards.
Another thought I had is that the hashboards could be self throttling if the temps are too high at 750. Otherwise I could be wrong, i'll experiment with 700 for a day or so & then report back if I remember.

Are you talking about batch 2 or batch 3, because my batch 3 is working stable on 725 for more than 24hour hashing avg. 15.8 kh/s

I'm talking about batch 1, my batch 2s fail if I even attempt that. I don't know what to tell you, I let it run at 700 over the weekend and am getting 15.45 MH/s average as opposed to the mid 17 range on 750 as expected. If yours is running slower on 750 it's probably a temp issue or something. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Reduces Block Reward | ETH GPU Mining Will No Longer Be Profitable on: September 14, 2018, 08:29:38 PM
Hey you dont have the s9, cause if you had the top contender then you would still get something back from using it. What determines if is profitable or not correlated to price is the top miner. If your statement  was true then we could say the amd 280x would still be making money, see my point your a9 is pretty much in an identical situation as hd 280x owners. As soon this miner hits e3 will not be profitable anymore cause it will not be the top released eth asic.

Anyway, bitmain like i said many times, bitmain release the e3 just to cover up the f3, e3 180mhs for the peasants and the good gddr5 1500 mhs f3 for them. Think bitmain would give you the top miner? hehe
True, obviously when a new piece of hardware releases the diff spikes. But I don't recall it ever causing much of a price difference. As far as I can tell all it does is cut out weak players from getting their slice of the pie. If anything newer efficient hardware would more likely drop the price as it increases the diff because these new miners can afford to sell it for less and still take a profit.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should You Mine / Buy Bitcoin Interest BCI ? (Implemented ProgPoW) PoW+PoS on: September 14, 2018, 05:56:35 PM
I mined about 210 with a batch 1 z9 mini and can't get rid of it at market value because there is no trading volume (can't use bitfinex for US residents) and because the Electrum wallet apparently won't connect to nodes anymore. On top of that I have only been paid 6 out of the 9 weeks I have been staking, plus the dev team is questionable at best... I guess you could say i'm somewhat jaded.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Reduces Block Reward | ETH GPU Mining Will No Longer Be Profitable on: September 14, 2018, 03:52:17 PM
the difficult will rise 5 to 10x in few months and price will follow.
high diff doesn't meant that price will follow

It does, nobody will mine for peanuts or at loss other than the ones who support the coin itself and dont forget eth is the altcoin king at moment, all other altcoins follow it.
Gotta say I disagree with this statement. I have an antminer A9 sitting there collecting dust because it would be losing like $3/day if plugged in. Most people who trade don't even mine and therefore don't give a shit what the diff is. In my experience the price seems to influence the difficulty much more than the difficulty influences the price.

Hello, team. Just tell me please, do you plan to put a counter on the site so that everyone can see how many tokens have already been sold? And if yes, when are you going to implement this? Thanks

It's literally in the center of the homepage. 34,580,200 distributed as of right now.
