1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should I be concerned about the history of bitcoins when buying them ? on: May 29, 2022, 12:52:30 PM
How would anyone know if those specific coins were used in any illegal activity?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When ETH GAS Price will stable? We paid 33.74$ GAS price for 10$ token transfer. on: October 06, 2021, 08:02:17 PM
It's frustrating, but I would not have done what you did. I'm patiently waiting for the fee to drop to lower amounts, perhaps around the ~10$ mark so I can bridge my tokens to the Fuse network. Currently, it's asking around ~40$, and it's sometimes even spiking to $100+.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: tether do you believe it ? on: July 18, 2019, 03:21:41 PM
There are multiple facts that are hard to ignore about tether.

This "accidental" print is one of them. They have the ability to pump the price of Bitcoin and I think they use it from time to time.

Furthermore, there was an audit of their 1:1 USD to USDT claims that they "did" which wasn't very trustable - originally exposed by Bitfinex'ed I think. Not sure though.

All in all, Tether's either gonna be the death of crypto or the life of it. They have a lot of power.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The HostingCoin project seeks an investor. on: July 18, 2019, 03:03:04 PM
What's the point? Everyone knows other platforms that do the same things as you.
Oh, and yeah, it might seem like there aren't any hosting companies that accept crypto, but there are. Here's one.

EDIT: Let me get this straight. You sell hosting for HSTC (your own coin), but a price for that coin is nowhere to be found. Seems like a scam.

God doesn't exist, neither does Satan. Doesn't matter what you call them.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: Getting this when trying to post an image? on: July 18, 2019, 02:49:21 PM
Where do I find a guideline on what the rules are in image posting?  Thank you!

You need to use a direct link to an image. The one you used isn't an image, it's a website.
A direct link to an image will usually end in .jpg, .webp, or .png

For example, the link for the below image ends in .png:

Wow, amazing. The IMG tag doesn't work for me now... Guess it's the newbie rank..
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IMF & Stablecoins on: July 18, 2019, 02:38:46 PM
It is true that Donald Trump expressed his negative opinions on cryptocurrency, but after that Mnuchin posted a tweet saying that they're looking into crypto and that the President's opinion is only his own.

This is very good, although they have already said that they don't like Libra, even though it's gonna be fully centralized.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU and phone mining on: July 07, 2019, 03:25:56 PM
It's not the same for every coin. You'll be getting different hashrates on different coins. Not sure how that is calculated.
Monero is GPU-mineable, so it's probably not good to mine with CPU.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Token! on: July 07, 2019, 03:20:01 PM
SHIToken! (Stupendously high income tax) token. With an inital supply of 4,200,069.1337 SHIT and a burn rate of 12.5%. Much like in real life, with SHIT Token you pay a stupid amount of "taxes" while using the cryptocurrency. You wont want to miss this one!  The Discord: https://discord.gg/Rpr5ejP

Oh my. How I love paying taxes! Favorite part of my life!
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Confidence Test on: July 06, 2019, 12:45:33 AM
Hello Everyone,

Most of us have Bitcoin but how much we trust Bitcoin?

My offer is very simple, İf someone want to buy all Bitcoin in your hand and pay for each Bitcoin 25k USD. Do you accept or reject. But there is one simple rule: You will never buy Crypto currency again.

The purpose of this survey is to measure our confidence in Bitcoin. I think through this survey we can see how much we trust the future of Bitcoin.

Let's see how much we trust Bitcoin.

Thanks for participating !!!

I wouldn't sell it simply because it prevents me from buying ANY cryptocurrency. If you forbade me from buying ONLY Bitcoin, I'd sell in an instant.
But I love altcoins.
11  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Paper wallets best practices on: July 06, 2019, 12:25:56 AM
Hi all. What are considered "best practices" to ensure a paper wallet is as secure as can be for cold storage? I realize the paper itself is vulnerable to fire, water etc. And to be sure to guard your private key from view of people and cameras. But I've also heard about needing a special printer because most modern printers have memory in them that saves what you print and that can be compromised. Also an "air gapped" computer using something called "iceberg protocol" or something like that. Can someone tell me what is the best way to set up a paper wallet?

I actually wouldn't use a paper wallet. I'd get a small USB stick and create a text file. Then add the private keys to the text file and put the text file on the USB stick.

Throw the USB stick in the safest place you can imagine and you've got yourself secure holding.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a thought on: July 03, 2019, 06:24:17 PM
This is just a thought ,what would have happened if the first crypto coin from satoshi was ethereum ? I'm sure ETH will be the most  favoured digital currency just like bitcoin is today.

And ETH would have been the bullrun driver and many altcoins will always favour since ETH is the key ,just imagine if ETH is 11,000$ ? Many altcoins would have been exploding in value presently

It's much harder for Ethereum to reach $11,000 because of it's much higher supply(currently more than 6 times of BTC's supply). But yeah, essentially if it did reach that price, it would be a bullrun driver, as many tokens are built on Ethereum.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uhm... What?? Coindesk BTC price right now on: July 03, 2019, 01:41:47 PM
Haha, interesting. I once saw my CryptoCompare portfolio go up to $30 million in value. Not sure which coin was causing that, but was fun to see.

15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you think Bitcoin will be by the end of 2019? on: May 09, 2019, 11:58:45 PM
I think Bitcoin will up to 15k in 2019. I don't think we will reach 2017 highs this year, but hopefully the next.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price is not everything! on: April 29, 2019, 05:27:15 PM
Actually, the price IS everything. I am not an angel investor. I expect a return on this, so price matters a lot to me. I'm pretty sure it does to all of you too. You can keep lying to yourselves if you want.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You don't have to HODL on: December 21, 2018, 12:24:57 PM
Why not have to hold some altcoin or bitcoin, always hope best option way to make price is growing up and we have waiting until price is up by keep holding, without holding we will miss opportunity to get much profit.

Yeah, well, holding from $20,000 to $2,000 is not what I'd call a "profitable decision".
18  Other / Meta / Re: Hero Member account locked! @ADMIN/Global mods on: December 19, 2018, 04:41:09 PM
bump

Try resetting the password of the account, it'll give you an account recovery email, try sending a mail to that and pray to all the gods in existence..
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / You don't have to HODL on: December 17, 2018, 03:56:23 AM
HODL is the most misunderstood strategy in the history of mankind and probably the dinosaurs. HODLing doesn't mean HOLD UNCONDITIONALLY, it means hold until you thing it's profitable, until you think "'I've lost enough", until you need the money, until you decide to buy a different cryptocurrency, etc...

People are asking online for help and the only advice they get is "HODL", preaching it like it's the holy bible.. Stop with the non-sense and start giving people real advice.

Example of real advice: I wouldn't sell right now, but there doesn't seem to be much hope for Bitcoin in the near future, keep that in mind.

If you say that, instead of mindlessly shouting "HODL" at the top of your lungs, the person who asked will take it into consideration much more and you will actually encourage them to do more research on what the asked, because intelligence inspires intelligence. Shouting HODL inspires stupidity and ignorance.

Apparently, there's an account recovery email, it only shows it when you try to reset the password on a locked account.
