Hey all,

question:  To get POS going I have to keep the wallet open all the time and unlocked ?

How do you unlock the wallet if its encrypted ?

I am ussing a MAC wallet.

Cheers,

Please read the first post

Done, wallet have been opened and unlocked 1 hour after your reply.  I have 42 coins in there that have been sitting in my wallet since march 17th. Plus another 370 coins depositied on april 25th.

How long should I expect the 42 coins to start POS'ing ? since they already have a coin age of 40+ days ?

Cache Marketing sucks, unless people involved are doing it on purpose to collect coins at low costs on exchanges. Something needs to change, people keep promising new and exciting things are in the works.  How about a site where we can find some news and information about these new and exciting developments that will make this coin 3rd behind BTC and LTC in the future ?

Hi,

Was wondering why you don't add REDD COIN.  It is more profitable than most of the coins mined on waffle ...

cheers,

Hi,

Sorry to be off-topic but I cant find any posted informatio about fried cards and RMA'ing

I Think i fired 2 Sapphire Tri-x R9 290's and need to send to RMA was wondering if you knew:

1.  was the reason you sent them back because they weren't working (i.e. the two i have just dont get recognised when i boot up with them directly plugged into the X16 slot)

2.  Do they ask any questions about how you were using your cards ?
3.  Should I not tell them the cards were used for mining?
4.  What happened to your cards so that you sent them to RMA ?
5.  How long does the process take from the day you ship to RMA to the day you get them back ?

Thanks in advance for you answers

Cheers,

Hi all,

Two of My R9 290 Tri-x's just died.  They won't boot up alone directly plugged into an X16 slot.

How do you go about RMA'ing these?  I see everyone talk about RMA, but don't see any info on it.

Also what exactly does RMA stand for ?  Return, Manufacturer .... Huh

Cheers,

I could explain it to you but honestly, why spoon feed? If you can't think and see relations for yourself maybe loosing your money will teach you a better than i will ever be able to.

I am sick off everyone who doesn't even care to read and then complains about things that were widely available and known, investing "alot" into something doesn't come with special care, use your brain!

If you can, please explain Smiley But first of all, I want to get the link to the info about 24 hrs limit because it is not in the OP and it's not on fibonacci.io site.
Personally, I didn't loose money. I was happy with the high price and I made some money with cache tbh.

It must be posted at least 50 times throughout the Fibonacci thread that they will accept CACHE at 0.01 BTC when pre-orders start... I don't feel bad for anyone who did not at least skim through the thread.  I am very happy with the purchase of my new FIB miner shares at a 40-50% discount.

You didn't understand my post. I do not ask why he accepted cache at 0.01 (when that info was published and confirmed by Jasonlee, the cache price went up from 0.001 to 0.005-0.007 in 1-2 days), I read the thread that time and saw that statement several times, but I didn't see that there is any kind of information about the time limit to pay with cache.

That's what I ask for: show me the info about 24 hours limit.

Right here bud!  it was somewhere else as well, but this deal was basically a reward for people who followed the thread dilligently, if you did not then you missed out.

Is there a CPU miner out there ?  I would like to do some tests mining CACHE with CPU power !

I have been googling problem obvisouly ... I am found a couple of places where people have the same problems and  could not fix them and this Moherboard is basically Crap ... Can someone confirm this so I can return this product ASAP

Don't blame the board.  I am running two of those ASROCK boards, each with four Sapphire R9 270x GPU's without issue. The 270's have dual PCI-E power connectors on the back however.

I agree with the powered risers.  Sounds like a power issue to me.

Added:  None of my cards are in the slots, all but the 4th card (in each rig) using powered risers.

I have 2 other 4X GPU rigs.  I am not a newbie... there was something very wrong with that board.

I blame the board very much.... I troubleshooted it for 3 days 10 hours a day for a total of 30 hours .... I have a plethora of Powered and unpowered risers.. tried everything you could think of.  It does not like R9 290's

The r9 290's also have 8pin + 6pin power connectors, nevertheless they still need 75Watts each from MOBO or powered riser .. but this MOBO was supposed to eliminate the use of Powered riser with the extra power coming from the 2X molex connectors on board supplying the PCI-E slots with that power directly.

I have found numerous posts that this board is crap anyways. One guy bought 10 of them and had to RMA 4 of them .. I probably can't RMA mine since I bent the pins in the CPU slot thingy ... Does anyone know, it was comletely my fault by trying to put the protector on before bringin gto the store for a refund. anyways venting a bit here.

Cheers,

Hi,

I just got this ASROCK motherboard after 1 month of wait as it was on backorder was very excited as i had read good things about it, but it is failing me.

ASROCK H81 Pro BTC motherboard
4 X sapphire TRI-X
4X unpowered risers ( as the board supplies extra power to MOBO with the molex connectors)
windows 8.1
SSD HD 120GB
4X SAPPHIRES r9 290 tri-x
12GB of ram
intel core i7-4770 CPU

I am losing my mind with this MOBO !

It does not work as advertised for me, has someone had these issues ?

I can only get 2 cards to work at best ! ... and sometimes even thats screws up

1st PSU#1 (800W) connect to all MOBO connectors including 2X molex and 1 X GPU Directly in 16X slot (no riser)

2nd GPU on 1050W PSU#2 (unpowered 1x to 16x riser in 1x slot closest to CPU) works sometimes but mostly not recognized or has exclamation mark

3rd GPU on PSU#2, when by miracle windows recognises the 2nd GPU and I can hash with both I try and add third (tried in all other available 1X slots with 1X to 16 X unpowered riser. screen just stays black after black and white windows logo...

I havent event gotten to try a 4th GPU ...

Someone please help I have been at it for 3 days and I am losing my mind!!!

Are  you not getting massive amount of HW errors with that config ?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CACH] CACHeCoin released based on scrypt-jane on: March 13, 2014, 05:36:34 AM
SHould I only be getting 160k on 290s?

180Kh/s seems to be concensus MAX on R9 290 ... I am currently getting only 72kh/s and have tried over and over I don't know what I am missing !!!

I would kill to get 160kh/s..

Can you please post all of your configurations .. ( your config file and line arguments at launch if you have any)

Hoe many cards you have in your rig and what brand ?

Thanks

Guys any help for 6970??? I cant get above 45Kh/s over card Sad , also I have a 6870 and I get 25Kh/s

What options (config file, parameters...) are you using? Any undervolting/overclocking/etc.. ?

Also, how much VRAM does your cards have? At this nfactor, VRAM could be a limitation, sometimes solvable by increasing the lookup gap.
As a blind shot, try increasing the lookup gap and see if that squeezes more hashes out of it.

If that does not work - please post your configs/params you use, you may get a better advice once we see them Smiley

I posted all that info and no one helps me with my R9 290's  why is that Huh
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CACH] CACHeCoin released based on scrypt-jane on: March 11, 2014, 08:38:27 PM
According to setting posted here ppl are getting the hashrates of 180kh/s?Huh

During the last n Factor I was mining at the speed of 340 kh/s which is think was par for the course.

For this new n factor I use the settings below and get a bunch of HW errors ... I have to lower my intensity to 12 to get ZERO HW errors and then I only get 72kh/s which os obviously not good.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
POSTED or POOL.CACHECOIN.NET:

R9 290 8GB RAM (1040/1400), expected hashrate about 180kh/s

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt-jane --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1388949883 -o stratum+tcp://pool.cachecoin.net:3333 -u worker_user -p worker_password -w 64 -g 1 -I 18 --thread-concurrency 45000 --no-submit-stale --lookup-gap 2 --expiry 10 --scan-time 1 --queue 0

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There has to be something more to the settings above ! can some please be UBER Specific and post absolutely every setting for an R9 290.... also my thread concurrency does not go over 30592, how canyou possibly get it at 45000?

I am mining with a GIGABYTE R9 290 OC and Sapphire r9 290 Tri-X, Windows 8.1, 8 GB of RAM
