1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Winter is coming. on: October 27, 2017, 12:01:21 AM
We've just come out of winter here in Australia, I've been heating my whole house with 4 rigs, we haven't put the heater on once  Smiley
It was really nice waking up/coming home to a toasty house!

Summer will be interesting, with a very hot summer predicted!  Shocked

Cheers,
Matt
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: sgminer can't find GPUs (AMD) on: September 28, 2017, 11:13:07 PM
I had the same problem, I was running with the AMD Blockchain drivers, I changed back to a previous version (sorry I don't remember which but it was definitely not the latest normal ones) and used --gpu-platform 1 and it worked.

However, the hash rate was a lot lower than what I was getting with Claymore's miner and was crashing the driver, so I switched back to Claymore's...

What does -n give you? Can you see the cards with that?

It was a pain to get up and going, and then no good Sad

Cheers,
Matt

Edit: This was all with version 5.5.5

I used a cheap electric Mitre Saw with a metal cutting blade to do mine, I think it was AU$150 all up.

Totally worth it, as I was building 4x rigs up! It saved a lot of manual sawing  Smiley

TIP: Wrap the area you're cutting with insulation tape! This leaves the ends really clean so you don't have to file them afterwards  Grin

Cheers,
Matt
