1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here It Is - Bitcoin Trading Guide You Guys Asked For on: June 06, 2019, 10:03:26 AM
Hey guys!

So a while ago I asked some of you a question for my trading guide. I asked for your opinion about trading tools and resources. Also, a lot of people asked to post a link to the article when it is ready.

And here it is - https://paybis.com/blog/cryptocurrency-trading-guide/

I published some of the answers I got from Bitcointalk users.

Hope you enjoy it and I hope it will be useful to some of you.
You are curious? Have you forgotten that word that says curiosity kills cat? If you have been using USD as pair and has full understanding of it, why do you want to try something you didn’t learn? Some of these pairs still require thorough understanding before you try them out, it is when you have better understanding about the pairs that you will know the right time to do the trade.

I have been trading my BTC/USD pair for a very long time now and I understand it better, which is has been giving me all the profits I have had and having in my trade, so I don’t see reason to change it since it has not become obsolete.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whats better holding many coins or fewer coins? on: June 06, 2019, 09:31:32 AM
I know the question sounds stupid.

But my questions is, if i have 50k should i rather invest in bitcoin, ethereum or a other high market cap coin compared to a small market cap coin were i could almost own 0.1% if the coin supply is 1 billion and trades at 5 cent.

It should be much easier for the coin with a lower market cap to make much more gains than with Btc, right?

I prefer to put only a few coin major, actually putting a lot of coins is pretty good but the problem is that it will be difficult to manage financial assets later.
Especially if you choose the wrong coin
It is good to diversify but managing those assets like you said becomes a problem. I learnt my lessons from one of these coins that I had, I couldn’t keep eye on all the coin which I was only monitoring the major coins and waiting for altcoins season to come before I check other remaining coins, it was later in the new that I saw that the coin pumped one of these days by 400% and already dumped>

It was really painful to me because I had so much investment which would have been a major breakthrough for me. So now I have learnt to just keep my investment in very few solid projects that I am sure of and be able to monitor from time to time.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From Janitor to Millionaire on: June 06, 2019, 08:05:10 AM
Don't be fooled and think that just because you are a poor person and a hard worker you should deserve to win a lottery. There are literally tens of thousands of people that are in the exact situation as yours maybe even worse. Actually I think almost everyone that plays at lotteries are in a bad situation financially because that's the kind of persons that lotteries are targeting as their players. I agree that there are certain factors that could improve your chances at winning the lottery, like law of attraction but at the end its still all about luck.
Everybody is deserving for the prize either a janitor or a manager , poor or rich people because we pay for that betslip , I also buy lottery just for the dream but one thing that encourage me is , in my country , a fraction of the proceeds will be given to charity .

The op needs to first of all consider the cost of trading also before using those domiciled exchanges because those local exchanges looks quite too expensive to trade on their platform to me and a newbie might not be starting with that much money, and in order for his trade to count, I think he better use exchanges like Binance that has the lowest trading fee for its users generally.

I made this mistake too when I started trading, for security and safety, I was looking for exchanges that are within my vicinity which I started using, but I realized that every profit I was making for just going for trading fee until my friend introduced me to  Binance.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Tether dies, will Bitfinex go with it? and what about our $s? on: June 06, 2019, 07:36:44 AM
Prevention is better than cure mate, rather than disturbing yourself and cracking your brain in researching if they will have issue through their tether product, since the court case is not over yet, you would have just moved your funds to exchanges that you know is functioning perfectly well now and void of issues like this which I will like to recommend Binance.

People has really been expecting such challenge to befall them, and if not for the court case they have presently, I am sure many people would have changed their USDT back to bitcoin, but you know out of curiosity, we would like to know how their case will be judged, but while waiting, we can still move our fund to binance.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will become zero value? on: June 06, 2019, 07:05:34 AM
Even the big dump happens ethereum will not become zero, many people support this altcoin, if you bought at the dip price you already gained profit now. It's not too late to invest, the price of ethereum is still cheap so it is good to buy more and hold for long term.
You would have asked him if it is with all these projects coming out without working product that ethereum will zero, or because their community are dyeing? Because I don’t see any IOTA of thing that will ever kill ethereum. Ethereum to alts is just like saying BTC will die, these 2 coins are the strongest coins in the community right now, and you will be shock that if ICO comes to worst and people are no longer paying attention to it, BTC and ethereum will be the last coin standing.

Recently I heard of a company trying to compensate their citizen with ether for cleaning their environment, where was other coins that they chose ethereum, they chose ethereum simply because they know it is still the most reliable altcoins with solid team.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just Hanging On on: June 06, 2019, 06:32:19 AM
Ouch, bears finally showed their teeth! That drop to $7,700 happened fast. We're still hovering near $8,000 and bulls are trying to hold onto this range but the threat of more blood is looming.

The best case scenario is a repeat of the April 25th dump.....sideways for several days and then a quiet transition back to uptrending.
Don’t worry, the bears are just tired of the bordom that the bulls placed them, that is why they forcefully showed their face again, I am sure that in the next couple of few days, the bulls will regain their strength back to stabilize the value again and then push if further to where it belongs.

I believe we are still in the $8 zone and the next zone I envisage for now is the zone of $10, so I am not distracted by that little correction, our optimal goal is to take our profit when we get to AH and since we are still far from that, I think we have nothing much to lose if we keep holding our coins for ATH.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price will never be seen again? on: June 06, 2019, 06:01:41 AM
I believe $5,000. After I witness the price movement this year so far, I already think we will not going to go down again.
What we will witness is just some minor correction and we will be trading at least $10,000 before the end of the year.
That is dead and long gone, and I even believe that it will be hard for Bitcoin to drop below $7k no matter the dump we see this period, the correction of yesterday is what I believe will really move us over to $9500 and from there, believe me, it won’t take more than another one month for $10k to be overthrown by $11500 by the end of JULY.

For the year ending, I think the value I expected should be between $13k and $15k if we are to consider some corrections we will still have that may be pulling the speed back, but that is just the positivity for this year, next year is really going to be the main celebration year when all Bitcoin and altcoins will all moon.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Address 36png4nUpGkCrYnRXNR4PMSRFEgGadmh8S sent -25,160.31BTC to coinbase on: June 06, 2019, 05:31:49 AM
https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/36png4nUpGkCrYnRXNR4PMSRFEgGadmh8S

This address sent 25,160.31 BTC to coinbase a few moments before this dump. Was he the cause or did he have information about this possibility of correction?

You see why I always tell people that this market is seriously unpredictable, I expected a correct right, but I didn’t expect it to fall us below $8k, and when I saw it I knew someone must have moved a very huge amount of BTC off the market and that could really be it, nobody knows.

I think 25k BTC leaving the market is quite a very big dump, and I hope this will not create panic sell for people, but I believe investors already understood this time of situation, and instead of panic selling, I think it was the right time to buy because the market will surely rebound. I expect it to rebound speedily if don’t get more of this type of pull out.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is needed for a gambler to the success? on: June 05, 2019, 11:30:30 AM
Everyone know gambling is filled with success and loss but what is the most important for being successful in gambling
Luck or experience?

nobody really totally succeeds in gambling, the losses are bigger than winning, you can succeed for years if you can take care of your gambling habit, you stopped when you are having a bad day and you are losing a lot, and you can manage your winnings too by not to continuing anymore when running out of luck.
I think experience makes people succeed more in gambling although not totally like you said. There are still a lot of people making money in gambling but with real study, we will observe that this people are all experienced people, no wonder we hardly hear story of someone that wins a huge amount of money the first day they gamble. If it was luck, then these cases should have been recorded often times.

Stopping when a bad day is ongoing and all other things you wrote are all part of experiences that can make a player a successful gamer, I think experience is the most important but there is still an aspect luck comes in big time.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HAVE YOU EVER MET ANY SUCCESSFUL GAMBLER on: June 05, 2019, 10:53:04 AM
So i was just wondering, aside the times i see the names of rich and successful gamblers during my google search, i dont think i have personally met anyone who made it big in gambling. Its possible there are  but i know more of those who have lost more than those who have made it.
Please note that by been successful, i  do not mean those who make this little and minor winnings on a daily bases(NO). I mean those with Big records, like who have won over 1BTC from gambling. If you know any either in an online or offline casino please dont hesitate to share their story, you can include the name of the site they made their wins, i am sure someone would be encouraged. Lets go guys Roll Eyes

I also not meet any successful gambler, but i have met an addicted and loser gambler, who have been lose everything in gambling. I searched in google and i see mostly successful gambler, who won a lot of bitcoins or money while playing gambling, but i am not one of them.
You will become a successful gambler someday if that is your desire, just keep on being optimistic , stop looking at too many addicted  and losers  in gambling, I know there are a lot of them but it is always better to act like they never exist. The law of attraction say what you focus on is what comes to you and this is the same thing with gambling, most people are so scared of losing because of the stories of those who have lost so much in gamble

The easiest way to become a successful gambler is to on a daily basis be on the search for one, there are so many stories of successful gamblers on the internet, you can Google them out. There was a time I told myself I will never read stories of gambling failures and I stopped  opening such threads, it was helpful.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you start crypto gambling? on: June 05, 2019, 10:18:55 AM
Well i have played gambling games around 2016 the first time i played etcbet and it used ethereum classic ETC as wagered although it was no long time, and i started playing other gambling games used bitcoin, eos and right now used Tron as wagered. It gives me fun and entertainment because i can used small amount of money in cryptocurrencies especially in Tron or EOS coins.
You can play games with small capital using those coins, the reason why some gamblers choose to use Alts instead of Bitcoin, they are enjoying those games with small amount of bankroll if converted to USD, numbers of initial capital is bigger in terms of the coin itself, if you play only to enjoy this alternative will be very useful to you.
I think everyone is literately here for same and many more reasons mate. Crypto gambling made gambling simpler, easier, less stressful, more enjoyable and much more comfortable. Its really funny sometimes to me whenever I finish my registration process and I notice I all set to bet and I am like “is that all” Amazing feelings indeed.
And also it can be so nice, when payment is paid instantly after a game, everything is just made so  easy with crypto gambling

I wish I started crypto gambling earlier, but 2018 is still a longtime enough and I am glad about the experience so far. I don’t intend quitting anytime soon because I have been having an amazing time since I started.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to withdraw ETH using public address on: June 05, 2019, 09:41:30 AM
This is sad but there is no key recovery service. I also forgot a couple of times flogged from important places to work. After that, I keep everything on several copies so that nothing more would happen. No one can help you.
I honestly understand that we have too many things on our mind for us to remember so many things or keep tab of these things at the same time. Just Like me now, I am a jack of all trade, which makes me forget some things that I engage in easily sometimes, so what I did was to have all these keys and addresses backed up manually and  on the system.

Recently I tried checking how my coins on exodus wallet are doing after leaving it for a long time, I got there and totally forgot the password that I used, every password I remembered was invalid, I had to uninstall and install the exodus again, I was able to do that because I kept my seed safe in a place I could have access to anywhere without issue.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be too quick to judge ICOs on: June 05, 2019, 09:08:14 AM
I tend to disagree to a certian extent, most ICOs are scams infact majority of them.
It is only in ICO you will see a project achieving Hardcap and still refuse to list, with the excuse they are working on their project which then runs into months.
Some will achieve Hardcap and still list on terrible exchange, then abandon the project altogether.
Most will just exit scam, infact there are many ill activities in ICOs, only a little percent of ICOs really offered what they promised at least to a certain extent.

But in IEOs investors now have the power to chose which project to support or not without bothering about when they project will list etc.
Why would they list when they know that what majority of you guys are after is to come on the exchange and dump the coin, then render the project useless and start calling it a shitcoin. I have so many projects that have not listed but I am seeing their development in real life, why do we base the development of the project on the value.

They didn’t say they won’t list, they just requesting for time to fully develop the project. Don’t forget that this ICo projects we are talking about are no establish a company and to start selling the products that will generate the profit and volume for the coin.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC halving....then btc halving but....... on: June 05, 2019, 07:32:49 AM
nearly all the altcoins have copied bitcoin one way or another so they all have all bitcoin's features including its block reward halving. you have to be more specific about your second part of the question if you want  any particular coin that has halving.

if you are looking for halvings from a speculative perspective then you must know that most of the times there is no price rise in altcoins that have a halving because they get dumped by the miners because of the halving and can't get hyped up either.
I really wonder why most people are always eager to see halving of coins as if it will reward everyone generally and make their investment multi-ply beyond imagination, I don’t still understand the concept of it making the price of the coin hike when all we need for a coin to shoot up is either adoption, new investors or whale’s pump.

Seems to me that halving benefits more of miners than investors. If miners dump the coin, then it will affect investors more. Well, I don’t so much rely on the halving that much, except there will be a coincidence and maybe another factor will come then that will turn market around. In
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I start scalping with a 500$? on: June 05, 2019, 06:57:16 AM
This is my personal suggestion, you should DYOR before investing in Cryptocurrency.

I would suggest you to divide $500 into four parts, it should be $100 into 3 and $200 into a single crypto . The top four Cryptocurrency that I would recommend to you is

1. Cardano - $100
2. BNB - $100
3. Litecoin - $100
4. Bitcoin - $200

You can change the amount as per your likes. I am not going to explain to you why I choose these cryptos, if you can check google, you will get your answer. I estimate within 2 to 3 months you should be easily able to make 2x of your investment. Remember as soon as you reach 2x individually or on the total balance of $500 (which ever you reach first) cash out.
the list of coins that you display seems to have to be followed by many people. some of these coins can provide profits in a few months and that will definitely happen. this can be an option for the questions raised in this forum.
Those coin really has very high trading volume that could make one be able to trade 2% profit in a day, especially bitcoin which has more volatility to do this, but I don’t like scalping that much because as volatile as these coins is when it comes to sudden increase in a day, they can also drop so bad which will mar the trade badly.

So instead of scalping, I will just hold my coin and wish I can get the 2 % increase which is enough for that day, I don’t need to be going in and out of the trade every time I see a chance to do so. 2$ daily which is about 60% monthly is seriously more than enough for one to leave a good life, depending on the trading amount though.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: List Exchanges Hacked 2011 / 2019 on: June 05, 2019, 05:52:24 AM
all i can say is that the attack on Mt.Gor exchange might be coming from the same person. this showcase the need for people to avoid abandoning their tokens on exchange. it is not advisable or favourable. get a wallet. whatever you earn from the exchange can be earn on the wallet.
No doubt it is the effort of a hacker always to target technologies especially the top trending or popular technologies. They love to achieve or extract the most precious data or information or you can say the precious currency of modern era which is the Bitcoin and other crypto currency. They will always be trying to hack or target the utmost profitable sources what we should do is to strengthen our security much more.
I agree with you that we should not relent on securing our account from time to time and one of the greatest we will ever make is to keep our fund on an exchange. No matter how good an exchange is, hackers are always very smart people and they are well trained for this.

They update themselves from time to time more than exchange security engineers themselves, and when it comes to coding in internet, there will always be loop holes from time to time which might not be seen easily. The best way to just safeguard our coin is to keep it safe in our wallet and also make sure our personal pc is safe guarded too because of malwares that could steal our system information.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best alternative to Tether? on: June 05, 2019, 05:22:22 AM
Hey.

I'm currently all in tether... which isn't a good idea currently IMO.
I'd like an alternative that won't turn to dust - as I've heard speculation; that Tether might become worthless if Bitfinex get hammered in the courts.

What's the best stable coin currently?
I'm at Bitfinex at the moment, however I'm thinking of going back to Binance; giving me more options for stable coins.
However, the liquidity of TrueUSD and USDcoin - on Binance, is pretty poor....
Which leaves..
a) a btc only exchange such as Bitmex Undecided or deribit... Cheesy    (which is not for me, way too much stress having to keep a constant eye on the market. I like to take time out as needed)
b) Coinbase and legit Fiat. However - coinbase has high fees and very bad liquidity (I have the choice of euros or pounds there.. no dollar Roll Eyes)

I'm quite worried that Tether will just collapse and all my trading capital will simply vanish.
Is that a valid concern? And do we have a time-frame for when things will be concluded with the latest tether fiasco.?

Would very much appreciate some insight on this.
Thanks.
TG
I will honestly advise against keeping your money in binance, even though they are still the most trust worthy exchange till date, but when it comes to security, there is not exchange that is that perfect other than your own private wallet.

Get your money converted to BTC, and keep it in your wallet with necessary security put in place, although I still do not understand why you want to keep your fund I n a stable coin for now. There is no stable coin in the market that is more effective than tether, but now that tether is having issue as regards their overprinting of money, there is no better option than BTC.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs BTC on: June 04, 2019, 10:17:36 AM
So apparently there are ways for ETH to beat BTC? https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/5-reasons-why-eth-could-beat-bitcoin/

I mean the speed one is definitely an issue that BTC is going to have to resolve sooner o later...

Thoughts?
You can say ethereum chain is a bit faster than bitcoin but not that ethereum too is that best in the market to overtake bitcoin. There has been nothing new about ethereum and all the upgrade they have done so far still did not solve their own problem too or make them gain recognition more than bitcoin.

So why do you think it is now that there are so many people even competing with Ethereum, while it is possible for BNB and EOS to overthrown ethereum. My friend, it is not bitcoin you should fear for, it is really ethereum that you should fear for, because speed or no peed, bitcoin will always remain dominant while we already have some projects that could send ethereum packing.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs gonna phase out very soon? on: June 04, 2019, 09:40:32 AM
I think ICO will not end soon, not any projects can be sold through exchange or STO. For projects like these, they still call for investment money from venture capitalists themselves, or if potential projects will earn small investors. However, gradually such projects are less, but it does not completely disappear
There might be a pull back from ICO by investors and even real developers but ICO will never die, it’s a system that cannot be killed, and I am sure that one day, there will be a program that will fully revive ICO back.

Moreover, not every project has capital to start with exchanges, because if you see the amount of money that is required to register on IEO, it’s quite huge that project with zero startup capital will not be able to afford it except the ones that have their startup capital already, and even though people are aware that we have ICO scams, they will still be interested in looking for the good ones and not run away from it, so ICO will never go out of fashion.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: STEP TO TAKE WHEN PAYMENT IS BEEN DELAYED BY AN ONLINE CASINO on: June 04, 2019, 08:16:41 AM
...
PS i forgot to add that they are requesting i fill KYC form and i didn't see this before i started playing.

If casino jurisdiction requires KYC for withdrawal this is full legitimate request. You have either obey it ,  or have more fun and play more in this casino till you are broke.

But it first makes sense to check casino name on bitcointalk and see what other people say about it.
KYC request doesn't give that guarantee that they are legitimate yet there are shady casinos that do ask out these things just to avoid the people on withdrawing their funds in the site.
Most gamblers do hate up KYC and they do suddenly ask it up in times of withdrawals that's why it do really sucks and also people should atleast read up anytime gambling sites Tos.
So that you would possibly avoid headaches later on.
Exactly the problem with most gamblers is not reading, how can you just go on a site without going through and the terms and conditions?
KYC is really not a big deal though and I see no reason for the issues, it’s just to fill it within a few seconds get it approved and then payment is made.

Sometime ago I made a win that required this, I filled it and my money was paid. Only those who have things to hide or who hands are not so clean would be scared of filling it since the reason for kyc is to wipe out all forms of fraudulent act from online casinos and every online platform, so to the player, if you know your hands are clean, do the rightful and spare us this stories.
Point of correction please, not everyone has an ulterior motive for been against KYC, there are just certain people that love a private life, especially when it involves gambling, many do not like to fill any form that might leak out someday to the public because of the insecurity in gambling

I am very sure that even most of the gambling sites  will admit that they are already suffering so much frustrations and this is accumulated around the stunning losses they suffer because of the poor cooperation rates at the KYC stage on casino sites because most gamblers hate these stage and it discourages them from gambling on the sites.
