1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HOW CAN I REMOTELY CONTROL MY MINERS on: March 12, 2014, 05:00:02 AM
wow, thanks for the answers! I forgot to mention that I'll be monitoring mainly from a mac so it seems that teamviewer is the one to go for in that case.
Also I know that with remote control there's always some lag due to the internet connection, my family lives in europe and I'm located in the US (planning on bringing the miner there on my next visit). Would that create any lag issues due to distance?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / HOW CAN I REMOTELY CONTROL MY MINERS on: March 11, 2014, 11:07:20 PM
HI,

I live in a small studio/apartment in a city that gets ridiculously hot in summer, I have 6 gpus mining and my place gets already pretty hot, even though it's still cold outside. I don't think I'll be able to stand the heat for much longer since weather is starting to get warmer lately. I've been thinking about bringing the miner to my family home since they have a basement, I know there's some ways to remotely control cgminer but I'm looking for something that can allow me to remotely control the whole desktop in a secure way ( install/uninstall drivers, modify cgminer.conf file, restart the computer, download and run different miners like the one for vertcoin...). My family is not really tech-savvy so at the most I could ask them to turn on or off the miner but not much more. Any ideas??

My wallet doesn't sync, what can I do to fix it??  been open for hours and no luck, at the bottom right it shows two black screens with a red "X" as if it wasn't connected to the internet. Any help?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Best/easiest way to accept bitcoins and other cryptos in my online store?? on: February 19, 2014, 04:05:54 AM
Hey bitcoin enthusiasts!

I'm trying to open an online store accepting crypto currencies (btc, ltc and doge) and I'm completely confused about the process. I've been mainly selling on sites like ebay, etsy... so creating my own site is already a big challenge enough let alone accepting cryptos. For what I've been reading it seems like a good choice to go with wordpress (although I'd appreciate any other recommendations) and probably just buy a ready made online store template, but once I have this set-up how do I add a shopping cart accepting btc? I know about bitpay, coinpayments and moolah (which one should I go with?) but i'm confused about how to implement them on my site. If someone can give me some guidance or direct me to some tutorial I'd really appreciate it. Been trying to find some tutorials but they all seem a bit complicated, I need something more like an Idiot's guide to accepting bitcoin Tongue...

Thanks!
6  Bitcoin / Armory / Is it possible to recover a backup created with armory with another software? on: January 24, 2014, 10:58:41 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm looking into finally creating my offline wallet and after reading for hours I think I made my choice with Armory, however I still have a question that I hope someone can answer, I'm not really a tech person so I'm gonna try my best.

Once I have my paper backup created, would it be possible to recover my wallet with anything else than Armory? as a silly example, let's say I create my paper backup and forget about my coins for 10 years (by then worth x100000 more Grin) , after that time Armory has vanished and no software can be found ( I hope the best to Armory team but there's been a lot of failure start-ups lately...), so in that case scenario would I still be able to recover my wallet somehow using any other wallet/software and the paper backup or it will only work with Armory??

Thanks for your work with Armory!
