1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware Bitcoins Email Hack is going viral. on: January 22, 2019, 07:36:21 AM
This is very serious. Hope these scammers are not some projects who did airdrop/bounty to collect people details? People shouldn't just be scared by sending out cash in a hurry. Some persons just don't discuss matters of life with good friends to seeing how to analyze the issues. Thanks for this.
I believe some of them are. there were some reported incidents. Thats why we have forums like this one to inform of possible scams and alert people to not send any information out.

3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin will pump like crazy on: January 21, 2019, 10:31:17 AM
pumped up? why do you mention that bitcoin will be pumped like crazy? while at this time the price is actually decreasing.
maybe even the price can continue to decline in the next few days.
Some still have hope, and maybe he is stating this based on some market observations.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will atomic swaps replace crypto currency exchanges? on: January 21, 2019, 07:56:28 AM
Though it is quite interesting but i don't think it can replace currency exchanges.
Even if it could it would take a long while, as exchanges are working quite well and there is little need for change
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin the survival of the fittest on: January 21, 2019, 07:48:38 AM
Bitcoin does survive from a lot of bad situation and bitcoin still got a lot of challenge from a lot of institutions, people and the government, if bitcoin not keep updating and bring the best then one day it could be replace, for now bitcoin still survive because a lot of people support it, and we should encourage people to buy and used it
A lot of support always helps. there is no realistic option that bitcoin could take a bad turn. like you mentioned  many institutions and people work with bitcoin everyday. yes it has had quite a dip in prices but for bitcoin-thats not new.
6  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance CEO saying don't keep coins on exchanges on: January 21, 2019, 07:38:25 AM
I am agree with what binance CEO says. We should keep our own security by storing our coin in wallet we control. Hard for hackers to steal our coin if we keeping safe our private key. With cryptopia case, i am believe major exchanger increasing their security
Paper wallets are key!! Maybe some would have even avoided the hack. But what's done is done and like you mentioned there security needs to be increased big time
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the obstacle of Bitcoin? on: January 18, 2019, 02:02:56 PM
On the top of my head, here's a few.

  • Liquidity: As liquidity is low, big market orders are expected to significantly move the price of bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general. This is something that will be "fixed" as more money goes into the bitcoin markets.
  • UI/UX/user-friendliness: Bitcoin might be easy enough to use for most of us here, but it's definitely not for non-tech savvy people(e.g. our grandparents). Especially with the handling of private keys; I don't think we can expect true global adoption if people needs to backup their recovery seed on pieces of paper.
  • Misinformation/Misunderstandings: There are so much misinformation spreading about bitcoin. Namely, "bitcoin is not scarce, people can create forks", "bitcoin is only used for drugs", and many more. There's so much misunderstandings of people in social media and on television; and what's worse, is that they're spreading their misinformation! Causing a sort of domino effect on people's impressions of bitcoin.
Liquidity is a big one , I full agree, there are also articles that take about similar problems you have mentioned.
Overall you answered perfectly
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin the survival of the fittest on: January 18, 2019, 01:27:23 PM

Do you agree? Despite the numerous attempt to destroy it, Bitcoin do not died and it thrive.

Many software got forgotten by time, banks get destroyed, companies broken, business ruined due to market crashes.

bitcoin survival all the deadliest attempt to kill it, and everyone else who try to kill it get themselve hurt.

But I do not recommend anyone to buy it, I would only tell my friends to sell it, dump it, collect it, whatever they can do but DO NOT ever buy it once.

Its proven fact that bitcoin is nearly indestructible , it has faced so many challenges. it thrives still even if it has downfalls.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption: Don't just sit down, do something on: January 18, 2019, 01:09:45 PM
Well i think that is a good idea.A lot of investors who have little shops, or little businesses , like the man with a barber shop can accept the payment in BTC and and let other people know about the existence of this coin and make Bitcoin useful in everyday situations.
by marketing bitcoin to the public it will greatly help the spread and adoption, in the near term I will make a service business,
and I am ready to accept payments with bitcoin, at least that will give little help to bitcoin
As much marketing as possible, to spark interest and get people more involved and learning about bitcoin. Small businesses and overall any business that accepts crypto currencies is a lot. working towards a bigger purpose
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Type of Cold Wallet!! on: January 18, 2019, 01:00:57 PM
I rather to choose hardware wallet which more secure than other kind of wallet. I already have ledger wallet and I just store my cryptocurrencies in my hardware wallet. If you really want to hold many cryptocurrencies I suggest to use hardware wallet.
In a way yes , but aren't paper wallets best? as they keep your funds offline ? making sure no viruses can affected and you can't loose your funds. Im not stating, if I am wrong please tell me.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's kick some bear ass on January 30th! on: January 18, 2019, 12:49:09 PM
This sounded like a pump and dump scheme to me but done in a more professional manner  Cheesy

This is not a game or some kind of a revenge against the bears.
I am glad Im not the only one, because the first thought I had was is this some sort of scam.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain values to maintain in 2019 on: January 18, 2019, 12:33:06 PM
for me, the biggest thing is patience. it's easy to lose sight but in the big picture, crypto has been very successful. also gotta stay patient with moac lol
Patience is key!! since we have been having dip after dip its easy for new comers to not want to invest, but its important that we know that it will get better
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can ETF Decision make a negative impact? on: January 18, 2019, 12:12:46 PM
Yes, in my opinion the ETF is very influential to the progress of Bitcoin prices, so when the ETF is rejected again, it is likely that prices will decline again, because for now traders are waiting for the SEC's decision to be approved, so that the Bitcoin price will rise.
I think most would agree that its very influential. But that's not the only thing that can make prices drop or decline. other factors play a role so I wouldn't say that if ETF is rejected prices will drop drastically
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin legal and illegal countries on: January 18, 2019, 11:51:50 AM
I just hope it'll be legal to Asia where I am in most of the time. Sad
Asia is doing quite well actually, its making improvements in the right direction, even more people are investing and sooner or later the government will come around !
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet the Wealthiest People in Crypto on: January 18, 2019, 11:39:54 AM
I think these people became rich because they had their own exclusive fresh and creative ideas that other people invested in. Following someone is the same as eating up after someone.
I think the point is that they didn't become rich over night. it took them time, hard work and a lot of effort. Like you mentioned creative ideas also played a key role.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peak get lower and lower, and dips get worse on: January 18, 2019, 11:31:31 AM
lower peak doesnt mean the market getting worst. in fact the valley getting shallower. comparing oct 2018 and oct 2017 , bitcoin price is maintaining. which is a good thing, for now. it might be repeating last year pattern.
Yes, peeks and dips are a normal part of BTC. Anyone who has been with bitcoin for a while knows that non stop dips do not necessarily mean the situation is getting worse, it all depends on the market. Others could get scared off seeing topics like this one - don't spread misinformation !
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Regulators Denies Considering Approving a Bitcoin ETF on: January 18, 2019, 08:52:00 AM
That is sad news, but if bakkt is successful then there is likely to be an equivalent version in japan. If demand is there by investors then someone will find a way to make it happen
There has been a big shift in investors not only in Japan but in overall Asia. So there will be a solution, with time. Southeast Asia has been showing high demands and even though the government is not fully on board just yet, it will happen.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin in Southeast Asia be legal? on: January 18, 2019, 08:42:53 AM
I believe that Bitcoin will get legitimacy in Southeast Asia. Bitcoin is becoming very popular day by day. This is creating many of our workplaces. It also offers many opportunities. Considering all these aspects, I believe that Bitcoin will get legality in Southeast Asia.
Like most the governments and central banks are really cautious when it comes to cryptocurrencies. But its moving-more investors are coming into play and the situation is looking up!

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still involves too much to deceptive behavior! on: January 18, 2019, 08:19:02 AM
Bitcoin is difficult to understand. It's the truth. Not everyone can understand it. Because of this, it cannot be accepted in many countries. It is necessary to improve the education of the population in the field of digital money and blockchain technology, then they will be ready for this.
I don't believe that's the case. yeah sure it is difficult to understand, but that's not why it is not widely accepted. Its due to government control and to bring something this big like cryptocurrencies into a country that has already problems with government control would just end up chaotic. Education is very important and teaching people about how cryptocurrencies work and how you can benifit from them is very useful, but that will not solve all the problems.
20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: January 18, 2019, 08:09:59 AM
whether the attack is large and can make the cryptopia close?
They are not quick to even call it a hack, but seeing that others ar even looking to file lawsuits against Cryptopia, the situation doesn't look that bright. Hopefully they will recover, since it's an ongoing investigation, only time will tell what will happen to Cryptopia.
