1  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to make easy money with minimum risk on: August 30, 2018, 06:06:22 PM
If you will permit me to be candid with you, I have no idea for you. Because truly such stuff doesn't exist. I don't even fancy the term "quick money". It only leads to disappointment in the end. I don't know the country you're from. But honestly, I don't think $100 is substantial enough to invest. You either need to wait too long to yield real gain or end up yielding very little profit. You could however set a goal for yourself, work harder and save up more. Then think about investing later on.
2  Economy / Marketplace / Re: US to to launch probe into btc manipulation on: August 30, 2018, 05:58:58 PM
This is not really good. It seems it is common knowledge here that this has been happening. But I am actually just coming across this sort of news for the first time. I think the Blockchain technology is a really genius innovation. But if such manipulations continue in the crypto market, then it's a bad thing. Serious action will definitely be taken soon. It is only a matter of time. Even if legal action is not taken, this discovery will discourage investors in the long run.
3  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time machine.. what would you like to change from your past on: August 30, 2018, 07:26:35 AM
The truth is I have made quite a number of mistakes in the past. In short, a whole lot of them. But funny enough,I do not really look forward to changing any of them. I think all of those mistakes have made me who I am today. Without them, I sure won't be this smart, courageous and most of all, compassionate. So, I wouldn't change a thing if you took me back to the past. I know others might think differently. But I think one can only think this way if they've come to embrace and appreciate who they are at the moment.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fiat currencies necessary in the world? on: August 30, 2018, 07:20:45 AM
This discussion has been coming up everywhere recently. Although,I do not support the phasing out of the Fiat currency, I can't really find a point to back its existence. But I still think it's asking too much. Even if cryptocurrencies would replace Fiat, it would take a lot of time. But before than happens, some things must be taken care of. Take for example the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Such variable makes it too difficult to be made a major means of exchange. This is only one of the issues that I have in mind.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you feel about meditation? on: August 29, 2018, 08:36:44 AM
Meditation is a great practice for the mind, body and soul. There is a lot of activity going on around us today. And most time, the speed and lack of direction that characterizes the society today unsettles our minds. In that state, we can't really be optimally productive. Of a truth, we actually can't avoid this chaos. But we must create some time to focus and this is where meditation comes in. We set everything else aside, clear our minds and focus on just one thought. Some even advise that we focus on nothing and let our minds decide for themselves what to be occupied with. The practice comes with a great reward. I speak from experience.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do with the current market? on: August 29, 2018, 08:29:04 AM
The present market is really unstable. There is indeed no doubt about that. But even as unstable as it is, the prices aren't at their worst. I believe the prices around August last year were lower than they are right now. And there have been some good news too recently. So, the action to take really is not crystal clear. But selling shouldn't be an option to consider especially if you bought when the prices were higher. Normal risk takers would do nothing now. While I suppose that the smart guys would buy more.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Blockchain technology for social good? on: August 28, 2018, 08:45:35 AM
Blockchain technology is actually very innovative technology. There are a lot of opportunities that can be created with this technology. So, there is a lot of potential really. But just like any other system, it sure has its own downsides too. The main concept of decentralization is very great and highly beneficial to the common citizen. We all agree that the government, its parastatals and some financial institutions wield too much control. But as usual anything new can be manipulated for bad. The anonymity allowed in using this technology has provided some loopholes. So, the truth is that it is really up to us to decide if we will use the technology for good or bad.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Holding your temper on: August 26, 2018, 12:42:42 PM
A lot of people these days have anger issues. Sadly enough, they don't even see this as a problem. But we all should be able to control our emotions. Anger is also one of those emotions. And this control doesn't come easy. It takes some discipline. When you are angered by a situation or person, you need to ensure you are still in charge. Remove yourself from that circumstance that angered you. I know it comes more easily to some than others. But self-control is always worth the effort.
9  Economy / Marketplace / Re: A tool to avoid scammers on: August 25, 2018, 08:42:47 PM
This is very good development. It is good to know that there are proper measures that can be taken to avoid being scammed. I know avoiding scams is becoming harder and harder by the day. I was speaking to a friend about the same topic today. Security is never to be compromised upon.  So, I wish everyone some safe trading. May the odds forever favour you.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: superhero on: August 25, 2018, 08:02:08 AM
Yuck, I really can't explain why but I hate Deadpool. The funny stuff is I never for once completed the first part of the movie. All that cussing and acting just came off as childish to me. I'm not even gonna consider the second part. I think I like Tony Stark the most. Robert Downing is doing a fantastic job portraying that character. The character itself too never stops amazing. No superpower, just the money and the brain and he keeps achieving so much. It feels more like something any human can relate to. And that truly inspires me.
11  Economy / Marketplace / Re: For god's sake, stop lestening to mainstream Media and wake up people... !! on: August 23, 2018, 04:51:26 AM
Mainstream is called mainstream for a reason. Because it is generally accepted stuff. These names you have mentioned are actually big names. They are guys who have achieved quite a lot in their own fields. So, it is only expected that folks look up to them. And when you look up to someone even unconsciously, you listen to them most of the time. The point many people are not seeing though is that being a genius in one field doesn't qualify you to be an expert in the other. Cryptocurrency is an entirely different world of its own. Something that most of these folks are not used to.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The difference between science and religion on: August 22, 2018, 05:39:46 AM
You forget so easily how much religion has added to the world too. In fact, the truth is I doubt there will be any science today without religion. Most of the knowledge we have come to be exposed to now was sponsored by institutions religion set up. So, stop throwing baseless claims around. Some of what is called science today will not be around in some years. The likes of the evolution theory and Big Bang theory are concepts I'm certain will die out. Christianity for example has lasted more than 2000 years. On what basis then do you say that it won't be around in the next 1000 years?
13  Economy / Marketplace / Re: issues on the internet on: August 19, 2018, 05:24:16 PM
I think quite a number of the commenters are confused. Or better put, let me say mistaken. If I understand clearly, the original post speaks about the internet in general. But most commenters are referring to the Bitcoin forum only. The truth is we can actually do better. I hardly even find information or discussions about cryptocurrency outside here. And I think it shouldn't be so. We should propagate positive information about Bitcoin. I believe it is the feasible way to attract investors. Which of course will affect prices.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to study well English grammar? on: August 18, 2018, 06:22:21 AM
In my spare time, I teach English as a Second Language. So, you can actually take my advice as a solid one. Grin (This is me blowing my own trumpet) Anyway, for a start, one must determine which level they are at. For beginners and those with little knowledge of English, I suggest that the best way to start is to get a good teacher. A structured way of learning is the best for building a solid foundation in any language. From there, so many other things can be introduced. Movies (first with, then without subtitles), building new friendships with native speakers, ESL games online, etc. All these can come in very handy.
15  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cryptocurrency is Great, But How Many Persons Know That? on: August 17, 2018, 06:19:47 AM
To be honest, the number is discouraging. I really thought that the level of awareness for cryptocurrency would grow at a faster rate. But there are quite a number of unprecedented obstacles. Even amidst those who know about crypto, many have been fed the wrong information. And many of those who even have the right information are still uninterested. Or it could be that they are just not ready to take the risk. It is good however that some bodies are looking to create more online awareness. It is a good move and I sincerely hope it yields the desired results.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your stress reliever ? on: August 16, 2018, 03:25:43 PM
I have quite a number of stress relievers actually. I think on the very top of my list is social media. I really like to just scroll through my feeds and see what my friends and followers are up to. Though this doesn't end well all the time. Some so-called friends could end up causing you the stress you were hoping to get relieved of. Asides social media, music also helps a lot. I am totally a music person, considering I am a drummer myself. If I get lucky enough to find a perfect radio on Play music, I could hours and hours in a very relaxed state.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that other coins move faster? on: August 01, 2018, 11:43:58 PM
Do you think that Bitcoin has become too slow to compete with the relatively quick alt coins out there? Is it realty competitive to have a slow community rather than a centralised decision making in development?

In other words, does the community effect of decentralisation enough to counterbalance the difficult decision making processes?

Bitcoin is the first and best coin. For me, he is always a top priority and a favorite. Bitcoin has the largest network, and its practical value is growing simply because it has the most users. This does not mean that the bitcoin will never be replaced by some other phenomenon. But it must be something absolutely and fundamentally new. All altcoins are developed on the basis of bitcoin, and accordingly they can not make a successful revolution.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too late to invest in bitcoin? Is it a bubble? on: July 31, 2018, 10:09:23 PM
The answer is: NO

You’re not the only one who has this feeling. As someone who got into cryptocurrencies 2.5 years ago (It also seemed too late back then), I think you shouldn't spend your timing regretting on opportunities you missed.

Instead, you should make your first step ASAP and learn by getting involved.

 What should you do?

Stay tuned - Read a lot about the different cryptocurrencies and try to catch up with the latest news.

Know where you are at - Try to understand how this market works and the main technology behind it Understand the Blockchain in Two Minutes

Trust yourself - 90% of what you read on the internet is bullshit, follow your instincts.

Of course, it's not too late. Now one of the best moments for investment. We do not know how to move in time)))
Bitcoin is considered a promising currency among many investors. Every day more and more large and small investors show interest in Bitcoin. This means that the rate will increase. Therefore, experts recommend making contributions to Bitcoin in 2018.
The question of legalizing bitcoin makes us think about its advantages. Today, blockchain is a technology of the future, which is already being introduced into various spheres of the economy. In some countries, a digital asset is already legalized and accepted as payment. This all, further increases the demand for this asset.
We already know that bitcoin has limited emission. That is, the smaller the coins become, the more expensive they will be.
