3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Melange [SPICE] - The Spice Must Flow! Updated Client + Heartbleed Fix on: June 09, 2021, 11:32:00 PM
After looking more into this I'm now understanding how stellar works... but I'm not understanding how I can get my SPICE to be tokenized/wrapped and issued to my XLM address... ? Because from what I'm seeing here there is no way for this to happen without me sending my SPICE to whoever owns the issuing account and then they issue me the XLM token?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - Reporting Missing Coins on: March 19, 2021, 01:28:28 PM
Does anyone have any updates on this saga?

The story seems to have gone dark after Kennedy was imprisoned for rape,
but the coins he stole are now worth almost $250 Million USD and he is still potentially liable for the theft.

I'd like to hear from anyone who knows what is going on; I've emailed the various law enforcement contacts
found listed in the threads over the years, to no avail.

Thanks for any info, I'm willing to offer a nice bounty to get my coins back!

Still getting occasional progress report letter from the liquidator saying they're working on it, last I knew there were only between 30-40 verified creditors that were owed on the list... I'm fairly certain in typical lawyer fashion they're just dragging their feet at this point to run up their cut of the funds if they eventually recover anything

Can someone post some working nodes?
Currently my wallet is connected to only one (94.83.225.136) and cannot sync.

Anyone has synced wallet?

94.83.225.141:44100

122.59.34.201:44100

164.68.101.222:44100

I'm now having this problem, I used to be able to sync to like 5 nodes

Are there any plans to get listed again on some of the smaller exchanges?

Could try to get listed on unnamed.exchange ... the current fee is apparently only 0.05BTC and no daily volume requirements

I appreciate all the bootstrap files from everyone. I am having trouble getting the wallet to actually stay open long enough for it to import the entire file. Would anyone mind just zipping their data file so that we dont have to import via bootstrap. I don't think the wallet is up to the task. My computer is not slow by any means and after two days, the wallet decides to crash (This has happened multiple times). This wouldn't be a problem if it didnt corrupt the data, resulting in assertion errors. It will not reindex either, so I am forced to just start over. Thank you in advance.

I have exactly same issues.
I have tried countless times on both a clean Win7 and Win 10 PC, and if you sync from scratch you have better results BUT usually takes over a week. If you use bootstrap just crashess everytime.

IF i ever get synced i will zip you my folder, but to be honest, even when fully synced, i find the wallet just crashes, and dont even bother trying to mine to it...

The wallet def needs an update to address these issues....either that or the source needs updating so it can be easily compiled on say Ubuntu20, Mint 19, etc....then at least it may encourage more newbies to try it.

J

It kept locking up the first time I was trying to sync, I had to repeatedly restart the client... what I ended up doing was just added the UTC client to my windows startup folder and let it run in the background

Hey guys! I don't have my node running for quite some time now but I could start it again. I'm just wondering if there are any blockhain explorers so that we can be sure we're on the right fork.

I'm on block #3383702 with 5 connections, once you get synced post your UTC address and I'll send you 1 UTC to make sure we're on the same chain
12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Minerium Coin SCAM on: April 28, 2020, 08:27:48 PM
New Minerium coin (rip off of old project) is a scam and the developer consistently dodges questions and has no real project just a blockchain and is on his way to scamming up to 4 BTC from his presale on erex.io. BEWARE of https://mineriumcoin.com/

Which is the old project ? The name seems awfully close to minereum ( probably the intention) .  As minereum v2 just launched so probably just someone looking to profit from the simillarity in names.
Definite scam, the dev is washtrading on livecoin and taking advantage of low liquidity to pump the price and trick people into paying him 0.5 ETH or more to "upgrade" their account so they can access the tokens that were "airdropped" to their ETH wallet...  It will take 50+ years for all the coins in your wallet to be unlocked... In 50+ years the ETH you spent will be worth significantly more than this shitcoin scam. Any time you point out that this is a scam inside the announcement thread the dev deletes your posts. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP, DO NOT SEND THE DEV YOUR ETH TO "UPGRADE" TO LEVEL 2/3 ... THIS IS A SCAM AND YOU WILL NEVER RECOVER YOUR MONEY.

How then to get rid of this token? I have other coins in my wallet, how can I get rid of it and not lose the rest? help me please

The way I understand it the only options are sell your address via the Minerium website, which no doubt costs a fucking fee that goes straight to the scamming DEV, or pay the DEV 0.5 ETH to "upgrade your account" and slowly have the coins unlocked over the next 50+ years. Neither option is appealing to me.

Can I start a masternode if I have only 5,000 coins?

Not right now, the collateral is currently 10,000... synapse collateral is going to be significantly less though

What is the transaction speed on the Phore network?

Most blockchains have no future due to the long transaction processing time.

Usually my transactions go through in 1-5 minutes, I'm pretty sure after Synapse is released it will be much much faster though

is there a working block explorer anymore? how can we know if our local wallet has forked?

I'm on block 3234445

I'm on block 3240366; however, I haven't been able to stake successfully for almost one year (Jan 7 2019 was my last stake). I used to be able to stake successfully every week or 2, albeit a small amount since I only have ~4K UTC). Not sure what has happened over the past year that I can't stake anymore Sad. My network weight is currently 128K
You're right in the block area that I'm on.. Whats your UTC address?

Ok so I guess that confirms that I probably haven't forked. Still not sure why haven't been able to stake for a year. My UTC address is USqr8vddwUrDwxhsu8UHwxy14A5CJSg115

I just sent you some UTC, if you received it that confirms we're on the same chain.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Melange [SPICE] - The Spice Must Flow! Updated Client + Heartbleed Fix on: November 29, 2019, 09:48:21 PM
I'm really only interested in coins that are in the top 10 at this point, so BTC and LTC are the only ones on that list that I'd want... but I'd take anything in the top 10 if there was a trading pair for them. I'm pretty much willing to part with my entire stack of SPICE for that price, but unless you're a total BTC whale you probably don't have to liquidity to buy me out... and I would absolutely need what I sell SPICE for to be a high cap coin that I can trade into fiat for tax reasons.

Can't you go in two steps maybe?

There are some of the Sci-Fi coins that ARE on exchanges vs bitcoin, such as SCIFI itself, GPL2, KED and QBT.

So would you be able to trade SPICE for one of those then send those to an exchange to get BTC ?

From the crazy-low prices of such coins against BTC on such exchanges though it does look like trying to go to a top ten coin does incur quite a massive premium.

-MarkM-

Too much risk involved, because I was mining SPICE before it was traded anywhere my cost basis for SPICE is zero and selling at those prices would be a five figure profit... if I were able to actually find a buyer with deep enough pockets and a trustworthy escrow service to liquidate SPICE at those prices I would owe the IRS over $10,000 ... Adding another low volume coin and third party exchange into the mix is just asking to get screwed. I'd rather just leave the SPICE in cold storage and owe nothing than take that type of risk
