It appears that all of doge will be mined in less than 2 years from now, pretty surprising. I'm guessing the getting will be good before it halves by sometime in February.

Kind of bummed out that the maximum doge that can exist is 100 billion, that seems like super overkill compared to btc's 21 million. just with that said it's almost a given that doge will never reach the same value as btc. I guess mining whole numbers is more fun. Well, 100 billion is better than 17 trillion, ami right people?

Different algorithms. BTC hashes are easier

and the Difficulties are relatively, significantly lower too, I'm sure just due to the popularity. Are most miner's using ASIC's for doge? I would assume the pro's are focusing all there's into bitcoins rather so maybe us doge's have a chance?

There is no ASIC for the Scrypt algorithm yet, just have to use GPUs and CPUs.  Bitcoin uses Sha256 and Dogecoin uses Scrypt

Nice feels like old school, back to good ol basics.

I'm glad to come back to it finding out my electric bills spent on mining paid off enough to pay off the lease of my car. All this new fuss about doge got me super excited again about crypto currencies, nice to see some diversity and competition.
