reading help: --gpu-ethash-mode: 1 - Create 1 buffer for DAG on GPU if driver allows big enough allocation 2 - Created 2 buffers for DAG on GPU Any explanation?! Does it help for 4GB cards or not :/ Oh, and I need help trying to run SRBMiner on Ergo on rig with 470 4Gb cards it starts and immediately restarts itself /latest HiveOS/, maybe didn't configure properly?! I just entered nanopool as pool, nothing else. Nothing in the log to help

Some weeks ago I requested a feature where phoenix stops mining if it cannot find addressed card in config, this is becasue I have a mixed rig and sometimes one card goes missing due to a riser problem or whatever, phoenix starts to apply wrong OC values to GPU's. Since I don't have hope that they even see the request, I made a simple powershell script that counts number of adapters and if you have the desired number of adapters, runs a batch (that runs Phoenixminer in my case) or runs another batch if it can't find the required number of GPUS (of course the batch sends me notifications so I can keep track.) You can use this to either shutdown the system cleanly, or if you want you can run your miner with safe settings that matches all your GPU's. You can find the script here: Powershell script to run batch based on display adapter countYou can place the .cmd file in shell:startup, but since I need admin priv. for AMD mem timings I use task scheduler to run the script at startup with admin privileges. Where is the "devcon" program mentioned there?

I can confirm that 1.3 works on Nvidia and nvml is fixed

Trying it on 4 1070 rig Works, but it says that Nvidia SMI is not found thus no temperature control. any idea? Works in Cuda 10 also
Seems like new Nvidia driver problem, they've probably changed something. I also tested my mod with 1070, but with some older driver like 441.xx and it for sure shows temperature, fan speed and power draw. I have 432.00 ... it says: NVIDIA NVML library not found, temperature monitoring for NVIDIA GPUs disabled.
Maybe I should install your version 444 and try...

GPU order is messed up on 1 rig Speed reported is in "correct GPU order", but temps are in inverted order Real values is speed/temp 20/70 20/70 20/70 30/78 on dispay it says speed is: 20 20 20 30 temp is 78 70 70 70
Any way to reorder the readings?

Can someone explain how the "-powlim" parameter is working? If I have card with 100W TDP, what will these lines do: -powlim 10 ==> make tdp 110w ? -powlim -20 ==> decrease to 80w ? What if I stop the miner, start it again. Will the powlim accumulate (100 -> 80 -> 64) or when stoppping miner it resets power limits? (100 -> 80 -> 100 -> 80)

i confirm:
9 * RX580 NITRO + SE / 8GB straps || 1H10 TEST
PheonixMiner: 303MHS / 247 SHARES TeamRedMiner: 297MHS / 299 SHARES
yes is even more with the claymore straps in memory;) straps + TRM = currently
But still a lot of work, I can't wait to see the evolution
Shares are not everything. There is also share difficulty and the total share*diff is what counts My small comparison - mining etc with 470 rig 4g left side P5.4c right TRM latest, pool Hiveos, average is 2-3% higher on P5.4c

To answer myself - it seems --prog_config=A480 is enough The weird thing, 470 Nitro 4G makes 12MH and the monitor is on that card. XFX 470 4G makes 9mh ... same settings, no monitor connected...I just don't get why Both cards were "striped", on ether their speed is almost same, Nitro is 0.5mh faster

Can someone give an example of good config for Kawpow and RX470/570 cards?

Thank you for the amazing bug report! This is exactly how it is done The problem is here: Unknown OpenCL driver version! Hashrate and stale shares may suffer - this means that the miner can't recognize the driver and is forced to use the generic kernels, which doesn't support most DAG configs. The quick fix is to upgrade to driver 20.10-1048554 or downgrade to driver 19.50-967956. We suspect that you are using driver 19.50-1011208, which is not supported because somehow it "fell through the cracks" and was never even tested. We will add support for it in the 5.4c for sure. thanks! updated to 20.30/latest from HiveOS/ it works again

is there a fix for Allocating buffers failed with: clCreateBuffer (-61). ? We only see this error with Hawaii cards (R9 290/390). If you have other (newer) cards and still see the problem, please let us know the PhoenixMiner version, the AMD driver version, and the exact type of the cards. Also at least part of the log file will be helpful, including the error and one-two screens before that. Can someone explain how to automatically apply desired overclocking on reboot? So far I have to put all these settings in the miner config, overclocking via HiveOS interface does not stick between reboots
