There are crypto-currency trojans that sit monitoring your computer waiting for what looks like the format of a crypto-currency account number. When it spots one, it comes awake and replaces the intended account you are transferring value to with their account number. Unless you are very aware of the switch, it will be game over if you hit the Send button.

Bitcoin does carry some unique risks. The value of the cryptocurrency has been three times as volatile as the price of oil and 11 times more than the post-Brexit exchange rate between the dollar and the British pound, according to European Tech analysts from Credit Suisse's Global Markets Research Department. Bitcoin transfers are also irreversible, so those who inadvertently enter an extra digit when trying to pay for something are out of luck. Finally, users need a private key to access their bitcoins, and that key operates like a password that cannot be reset. If the private key is lost or stolen, so are the bitcoins that go with it.

If a government decides to make trading or possessing Bitcoins illegal, questions will be raised about how exactly it will enforce such a ban. It is impossible for a government to seize your Bitcoins, unless you decide to handover your private keys. However, the majority of citizens and institutions like to stay on the right side of the law. So the demand for Bitcoin would plummet if the government decided to ban it. All exchanges in that country would also be shuttered and buying/selling Bitcoin would be difficult and risky. This would suffocate Bitcoin in that country and the government’s objectives might be achieved.

The fear of money laundering via investment in these currencies and ensuring customer protection from the price volatility and complex nature of these assets are the main reasons why the government has not been comfortable with these digital assets. The hesitation is not entirely unfounded: The price of one bitcoin, valued at over $19,000 in December, is now worth less than $8,000. However, conversations with half-a-dozen officials reveal that all may not be lost for cryptocurrencies, despite unhelpful statements from the finance ministry and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). A bunch of career bureaucrats and bankers are currently in the process of writing their fate. And even if they do survive, bitcoin and its peers will likely remain on a tight government leash.

If you have never smoked weed don't even try it. Your friends and family will pressure you, say no. Nobody even likes weed the first time they try it, because it is poison to your system. It takes 5-10 times for you to start “liking” it.If weed is so good, how come nobody likes it the first several times they try it? That is because the weed has not had time to start developing it's very real addiction power.Magically, at about the 5th-10th time you smoke weed, you “enjoy” it. In reality, the addiction is growing and you are feeding the addiction which is why you think it suddenly “feels good.” All it is doing is relieving the mild addiction you did not realize you were creating.
