3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Good config for msi r9 270x on: February 25, 2014, 07:23:41 PM
Hi Everyone.

I'm trying to run three r9 270x gpu's on three separate pc's. I'm currently using guiminer (will use cgiminer in my startup folder once I figure out how to setup the .bat file).

1. One of the gpus that I can run almost max load has currently the following settings with about a 450 k/hash rate. Can this be improved with the standard gpu settings (no undervolting/overclocking etc..)

2. The other two gpu's (one each pc) will have to be at a lower usage setting, since I need those pc's to handle my regular everyday work load. What would be good settings so that I can still function with the pc's as well.

I appreciate the help in advance.

Hi Everyone.

I am currently using guiminer-scrypt v0.04. Someone had mentioned that when you setup guiminer, it auto generates your worker .bat file right into the cgminer folder. However, I can't find that file? I am trying to find that file along with what ever config the guiminer is running on so that I can add it into the "startup" folder. I'm using windows 8.1.

If this is not possible, what's the easiest way to create the .bat file along with the same config running on the guiminer currently.

BTW: I also do not see a setting in guiminer to control the gpu fan. So , I set this up manually to 100% AMD catalyst control center (it's one gpu). Can I set this up on the config file also?

Any help would be appreciated.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / shutting down mining software on: January 25, 2014, 11:30:40 PM
Hello.

I do have a couple of questions if anyone can please help.

1. If I'm running one of the lightcoin miners on a windows pc using a pool, will I lose that work if I shut off the pc for a few hours? Will it resume where it left off once it's back up and running? Or it's like starting all over everyday If I do shut it off daily?

2. WIll the pci-express 3.0 gpus work fine with an older pci-express slots such as 1.0 or 2.0?

Thank you in advance.
