Hello.

This post is to confirm that I've received IXC$3,000 from Thomas Nasakioto on 30th June 2014 towards my contribution of ixcoin.eu

Regards,

Luke.

Friction, Luke,

Not sure which one of you started the 100 iXcoins per new wallet giveaway as long as people posted their current job titles but I just noticed we're getting close to 200 new wallets on the iXcoin.eu site which is 20,000 iXcoins.

You guys might wanna end that giveaway given we can't even seem to get Thomas to pay for the current bounties.

And given anybody can post via the guest option it wouldn't be very difficult for someone to grab a lot of free iXcoins.

Hi,

I'm not behind that giveway. Is that something mentioned in the forum?

Regards, Luke.

Guys, good news:  iXcoin.eu is up and running.

Looks great and it feels so legit to have such a beautiful site up and running.

Thank you, LUKE!!!

Yes it is. Thanks

Now we just need to get all the third party websites out there with iXcoin references to update their link from .org to .eu

Regards, Luke.

Is this address
IXC: xm7RZfDQyiYqFQZ6Q9ZgtSkX9e8uBJ3SLY
the correct way to donate to the project?

Yes.  It should be the same as the one on www.ixcoin.co
Ok, I sent there 5000 IXC. I encourage others, who think this project might have potential, to do the same.

That is very generous. On behalf of the iXcoin Community, Thank you.

Regards, Luke.

Luke,

Can you please give us an update on your plans for the website?

Can you comment on the .org and .co plans you have and if you're thinking of a different domain name can you tell us what that is and how that would work since that would be a big change in direction from what we all agreed [and voted] on when this whole relaunch started?

The website has been done for nearly 2 weeks now and we finally have Nasakioto and Friction here, together, so it would be nice to get a productive conversation going and get something worked out so we can finally at least launch the website.

Thank you!

Hi.

There were issues  with www.ixcoin.co that have resulted in it not being assigned to the new website. I don't control that domain name and therefore cannot move it across. ixcoin.org has not been assigned or discussed as the most recent discussions were that Thomas couldn't get the domain back at this stage.

I've registered www.ixcoin.eu and the domain name has been pointed to the new website. It may take up to 72 hours for this propogation process to complete.

Unrelated to the above, I think the discussions relating to Thomas are questioning his integrity and whilst I don't know him and haven't spoken to him I don't feel these discussions containing accusations or conspiracies are condusive to a healthy and mutually respectful community.

Thomas does not have to do anything and neither does any other member of this forum. A healthy community is one in which there is mutual respect, courtesy, encouragement and support. Whilst generally I believe I've received plenty of moral support, I feel that there has been too much pressure, criticism or expectations on members of the community who have or are actively contributing their time towards clear actions, results and outcomes.

I don't believe members should be judged by their financial contribution to the community.  It is important that members who contribute feedback and suggestions rather than funding understand that members contributing to the community are not being paid by other community members therefore pressure and expectations need to be proportionate, respectful and reasonable.

Regards, Luke.

Right now we are in a great buying-opportunity.

That means the coins are dirt cheap.

So it is a time to pick them up cheap, not a time to go spending them because times of buying opportunity are times of low buying-power.

Chances are for example that people looking to get paid to work on it will be looking for way the heck more coins per hour of work than would be the case when the buying opportunity is over and the price/exchange-rate is climbing or peaking.

If people do not think their work will make the coin climb to $1+ per coin they likely will not think of the coins as dollars so offering them 100 coins per hour will not cause them to think like wow that is $100 per hour provided I do a good job...

So basically right now it seems best to let those who are confident in the value of the coin buy them up cheaply, instead of offering coins to try to get people to work on the coin. Anyone who has the confidence and skills is going to get far richer buying coins dirt cheap now then doing the work than they would by getting paid a few coins now but not really caring to do a good job because they don't think the coins are going to be worth much.

Plus once I have managed to accumulate enough coins by buying them up cheap I can always go ahead and work on the coin myself. I'd like to accumulate a nice nest egg of the coins first though before driving up the price.

It is not really in my interest to drive up the price while I am still trying to obtain coins.

In fact the lower the price drops the better, as more of my buy orders will get acted upon.

Hi guys,

I give you the updated situation on the exchanges

Up to now we can buy/sell iXcoin on:

Active exchanges (Luke Connell: could you update the list of exchanges on your website?)

www.Vircurex.com (Poland)
www.Cryptsy.com (USA)
www.C-cex.com  (Ukraine)
www.Poloniex.com (USA)

Exchange with an issue with ixcoin wallet:

www.openex.pw  (USA) (we won - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=449473.0 )

Not real exchanges:
www.cex.io (only for gh/s for now, but contemplating the idea of trading)
http://cryptotc.us/market#2CH (a multi- market platform)
www.e-cointrade.com (a multi- market platform)

Plus...

www.mintpal.com   (UK) ----> Please vote every hour for ixcoin:
https://www.mintpal.com/voting

www.swisscex.com (Switzerland) ---> Please vote here: http://swisscex.uservoice.com/forums/238010-general/suggestions/5518882-please-add-ixcoin-one-of-the-four-coins-mined-by-

www.beedui.com (chinese exchange) ---> Please ask them to add iXcoin sending an email to: beedui@foxmail.com

www.mcxnow.com ---> Please ask them to add iXcoin sending an email here mcxnow.exchange@gmail.com

---------------------------------

Urgent aspects to take care of:

- cast your vote on mintpal and swisscex

- trade ixcoin on poloniex.com and c-cex.com (Vlad?)

- help www.openex.pw to set ixcoin wallet correctly on their exchange (Frictionlesscoin?)

Hi,

Happy to add the other exchanges however they have yet to prove themselves worthy of our recomendation to users. Maybe we can have a list titled: Experienced Exchanges and another list titled New Exchanges.

Luke,

I love the interactive map you put up in the merchants tab.  I have a question about it.

Is this raw data you collected or are you porting in the feed from another website.  I'm curious as I've never seen such an interactive map before and I think it's great but don't know if this is an advantage iXcoin's website has over other sites or not.

Thanks.

Hi,

I ported it from an existing website. The service should be mentioned at the bottom of the map. It's very handy. I can't remember the name i will check and get back to you. Very popular service though.

Regards, Luke.

I agree. I just hope it's smoother once it ports over to the real domain.  Cause for me it's very sluggish, especially the ChatBox.

The website contains lots of content which is pulled from other websites and servers which will be the main cause of slower loading speeds. There is also allot of content on some pages that utilise your computers memory so the site will be slightly sluggish however the amount of content makes it worth it in the short term.

Luke's site is pretty impressive.  It's well thought out.  I would just caution not to focus too much on bitcoin.  I assume some of the bitcoin content will get pushed out by ixcoin content as we move forward.  If so it's not a bad plan, so we won't be lacking content at the beginning.  Of course, much of what happens to bitcoin is relavant to ixcoin, like laws, regulations, exchange failures, hacking, etc.  Friction still has a lot of good stats and other ixcoin info which could be ported to this new website.  Good work Luke.  Can't wait for the relaunch.

Hi tazman,

Thanks for your feedback. I'll definitely try to add some additional stats around ixcoin and transition over time to a focus on ixcoin as more content becomes available.

They site has been designed to try and provide key data for owners, investors or traders of ixcoin, help build awareness and understanding for the general public through education whilst also catering to regulators, lawyers, students and educators through the education, research and regulation areas.

Luke,

Great news about the website being completed. I can't wait to chat with people, live, on the ChatBox.

But we obviously can't do a relaunch without the wallets so I'm sure everyone wants to know what timeline we're looking at?

I realize it's out of your hands but from your experience, how many weeks or months do you think it will take before we have everything we need for a full relaunch?

Thanks.

From experience 3 to 4 months is considered a short deadline for reasonable size development projects and in many cases the average project takes up to 6 months. Development teams working for a corporation are often much faster than open source not for profit development teams this is due to the later group working part time or on an adhoc basis, Mike Hearn highlighted this as one of the major challenges facing Bitcoin and thereby all cryptocurrency and open source projects.

Vlad, what is Ix current block reward

how often does the blocks halve currently and what is the diffculty re-target blocks.

Edit: and what's the new websites URL?

Block reward is 96 coins.  No halving, it stays at 96 coins until mid 2015 when we reach "terminal mining".

For the website URL we're waiting for Luke to port it over to .co and .org.  So it will be iXcoin .co and iXcoin .org.

Hi,

I have provided the DNS information to Friction to point ixcoin.co to the server. Once this is done it will take around 24 to 48 hours to propagate.

Regards, Luke.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: February 28, 2014, 03:40:35 AM
I did it finally but It's getting more diffucult to buy IXC I can buy thousand and thousand of other crypto in seconds but IXC takes much longer.

If you are entering a buy price above the lowest sell price it should process within seconds however if there are insufficient ixcoins for available to fill your buy order at the maximum buy order price an open order will remain active until more sell orders within that price range are submitted.

Regards, Luke.

Thank you I bought more coins above the lowest sell price and in few seconds I had my coins.

Nice work Smiley Welcome to the IXC Community Smiley

Why to buy only 1000 IXC coin is taking hours on cryptsy?

Hi Koby,

Have you checked your open orders? Maybe it's not executed because the price isn't right and is sitting as an open order?

Regards, Luke.

Ok Luke, you're carrying the load here, if this doesn't bother you then I can live with it. I just wanna see you guys, doing all this work, get that bounty.  And of course, getting the .org site for the launch would be nice.

So if you and friction are ok with it then I'll stay out of it.

Thanks for your response Luke.

About the website, Thomas was giving us the use of the dot org site.  I think that's a better location than the .co site.

I'm hoping Thomas will be able to pay that $85 and get the .org up and running with the website you built.

Still waiting for that 30K IXC bounty that he owes me.

Friction, I thought Thomas kidnapped you.  lol.

You've got to be kidding me.  Why did Thomas come back just to evaporate again.

If the guy doesn't get his act together I say we vote and kick him out permanently.  He should be grateful we haven't judged him like most would have but instead he still flakes out at the most important and crucial time for iXcoin, when we're supposed to launch and didn't have the decency to at least give Luke the dot org site and to pay the 30K bounty.

We'll give Thomas a few more days then I'll personally get the votes to kick him off this project.

Vlad I wouldn't worry about it. No need for a strong or critical response as he might have valid reasons for not being active or rarely active these days. Let's just move on and if he or anyone else randomly appears out of nowhere with some tangible actions to help then great. We don't need to have an official development team at this stage. We have a small active community which is all we need for the moment.

I understand where your coming from Vlad however these days the majority of people type it into Google. Prime position in Google and third party site links is about all that matters these days. I think generations born after 1990 aren't attached to the .com or .org compared to previous generations such as ours. They will use whatever is at the end of it without really considering credibility etc or even .com as just being easier to remember.

Google search positioning is key with around 85% of the global Internet search market. 75% of users never scroll past the first page of search results. 18% of organic clicks go to the #1 position, 10% of organic clicks go to the #2 position, and 7% of organic clicks go to the #3 position. 70-80% of users ignore paid ads, focusing on the organic results.

Regards, Luke.
