you should add categories!

This is another very helpful idea.
Another thing, sellers have to list products in $US only.
Do you think you could turn to BTC as a base price, or add more currencies, like Eur or Gbp?

Also, i had to upload a profile image more than 5-6 times, tried both firefox/chrome.
It was uploading the image i was picking, but was adding as image at my profile the last product listed at the time.
I enlarged the image, and it did accept it as profile image. Maybe there are image size restrictions?

Also, when a seller picks a country, is that country supposed to be the sellers' base
from where items are mailed or the sellers' market, where items are sold?
Hi okaynow,

I'm sorry about that, were you getting any error messages? Would be helpful if you mind sharing the image size or details of the image that you attempted to upload.

Which part of the country are you referring to? Coinbounce is mainly aimed at selling digital content. The content that you sell should ideally be something that can be downloaded instantly upon payment.

Thank you!

You should add categories and sub-categories

Hi Eternity
Good call, we really should. that should make our store front much more easily browsable! Thanks for the comment!

coinbounce is awesome I just found it
I couldn't upload a jpg or png to represent my product
and I can't wait til I can upload a large video file
I sell videos
It seems like you guys are really working on it
and I haven't read this whole thread
but

more options to group various files (like bandcamp)
allow large files for video makers
graphical variations for merchants who prefer to design their own storefronts

these are the big limitations I see

if coinbounce and gumroad would merge I'd crap my pants, but then I'd probably cry because FUCK USD, that shit is going downhill fast!

and who the fuck wants to give away all their personal info when they are buying and selling shit online?
even if I'm not selling puppy porn, I don't want to give SQUARE my social security number.

plus, taxation without representation is also a COST that is unnecessary.
alright, I'll save the ideological ranting for a different url, but srsly folks:

streamlining the purchasing experience is frikkin TIGHT and it's more likely the customers will do it if they aren't afraid.

good job coinbase.
good job coinbounce.
I can't wait to sell my videos for bitcoin.
http://[Suspicious link removed]   <----DAMN IT:    http://s o m s o c . t k       just cuz I use .tk doesn't mean I'm suspicious!
http://wouup.wordpress.com
ps, I do not nor have I ever sold or watched puppy porn.
pps, I use coinbounce as Casey Wright currently.

Hi [Suspicious link removed],
Thanks for giving Coinbounce a go!
Were you trying to upload jpg/png as the file that you are selling or as the cover photo?
We weren't thinking that most people would be selling image file though..
How large is the video size? Just getting some survey so we know what we can do next.

Agree, and that's the very reason why Bitcoin or any digital currency is awesome!

Interesting Cheesy Do you plan to allow all kind of stuff to be sold there? Cheesy
Hi Redrocket2
Anything that is downloadable. Please avoid 'bad' content Wink

some critics:
- fees are too high.
- there is no direct "buy"-button. Just a "pay with coinbase". Why you don't integrate the typical "buy" Button which launches the standard-bitcoin-wallet?
- why do people need to give you the email-adress to open a download-link? It makes payment unneccesary complicated

Hi @C. Bergmann, would like to thank you for trying out Coinbounce & your feedbacks!
- We are starting out with this fee amount for now and will continue to re-evaluate over time.
- Right with the new pay button that launches the wallet, it might be high time we look into that and see how we can incorporate that
- It can be troublesome. We need buyers' e-mail address as a fallback. As we use that to send order receipt and download link if they were to close/exit the site by accident.

We are adding the marketplace feature to Coinbounce which would allow buyers to shop for products and help to increase exposure for sellers in the Bitcoin microcommerce space.

Hope this would be helpful to both buyers and sellers in the Bitcoin market.

Check it out at https://www.coinbounce.com/marketplace

When will we be able to browse and see more than 5 random items?

@blajde We are finalizing a few stuff on that feature, something should come out in a week or so.

.
- However, what you can do is upload the .png file as the cover photo.

ok, i'll go with that and i'll come back to you if any issues arise.
Thank you for a prompt reply.
-Fo-

Sounds good! We would be more than happy to help.

@coinbase, i am about to start uploading some vector images, and i noticed your answer to someone else here, on posting .psd files.
I am going to zip any vector images, but can i upload a .png or an image file for preview by anyone interested?

And on a second issue, can i upload .pdf files? i am preparing some calendars, and a hiking guide, in the form of ebooks.

sorry to ask in advance, i would rather e sure about any steps needed from my end.

Thank you.
-Fo-

Hi @okaynow! Thanks for your interest in using Coinbounce.

- Yes, you can zip the .pdf files in its entirety and upload them.
- Right now, because we support a wide variety of files, we have not added any file preview support. However, we did get some feature request regarding music/image preview and this will only lead us to push this at a higher priority.
- However, what you can do is upload the .png file as the cover photo. Perhaps something like a promotional photo for that? Let us know if that is a viable option?

- Yes, .pdf upload is perfect!
- If you would like to sell a bunch of pdf at a time, you would still need to zip them.

Hope that clear things up, and do let us know if you have got any other questions or concerns? Smiley

Cheers!

+1

Also, if I give someone the link to a product I've added, and they click the link... rather than actually seeing any product details, they get a login screen? That'd be a big turn-off for prospective buyers I think.

Hi @leckey, buyers do not actually need to login in order to purchase.
Is that the non-public URL that they clicked? The public URL should not have a "/users" in it.
If that's the case, we would need to work on something in order to make that clearer.

hey guys, this looks like a great service to a lot of people.
I;ll be uploading some of my work there,
thank for the opportunity!

Take care
-Fo-

Welcome! Good to know @okaynow! Do let us know if you come across any problem, or have any questions on uploading your work! Smiley

https://www.coinbounce.com/products/fire-in-b-w

Here's my first post! Also a suggestion, could you add watermarks as an option so there's no way to just screen cap the picture? Thanks!

Good take, we didn't think that would be part of the use case. In any case, you can always present an image that is slightly different than the original image that you put on sale. Could be a promotional image or something.

you should make your site as classified website. List member's goods as categories on the homepage. advertise your site so visitors can buy directly from your site beside members' promotion

@hungpham, with the huge request for this, i can safely say that we are working on one. Hang in there!
9  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Open for Beta] Earn Bitcoin by selling your digital creation on: March 19, 2014, 04:56:33 AM
@bish5555 Perhaps not, payments would probably come from both a Bitcoin wallet through the blockchain, or a Coinbase wallet off the blockchain. That's unless we expose the email of the purchaser which we are not doing yet at the moment.
10  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Open for Beta] Earn Bitcoin by selling your digital creation on: February 24, 2014, 12:58:34 PM
coinbounce, not sure what you mean..ideally i would like to enter another wallet address so that each wallet receives 50% of income, this creates a trustless system for labels and artists..

Hi bish5555, sorry for the misunderstanding.
We were thinking that you were referring to the uploading of multiple files.

Sorry, we understand your requirement, but apparently we do not support that feature at this moment.
For your use case, a single withdrawal wallet still needs to be used at a given time.

Speaking of which, creating that kind of trust less system for labels and artists sounds interesting. We would potentially look and explore that.

Hope that doesn't cause too much of an issue. And thank you, appreciate your feedback!
11  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Open for Beta] Earn Bitcoin by selling your digital creation on: February 24, 2014, 09:03:40 AM
Hi bish5555, would putting them in a folder and compress via (.zip, .rar) be a viable option?
12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Open for Beta] Earn Bitcoin by selling your digital creation on: February 20, 2014, 02:59:18 PM
Yes music files preview with Soundcloud integration would be a good addition.

Agree, we are getting quite a bit of mp3 request - and preview should come with that.
In any case you can still upload mp3.. but without any preview feature at the moment.
13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Open for Beta] Earn Bitcoin by selling your digital creation on: February 16, 2014, 03:35:14 AM
Ok. and a preview file feature would be nice too

+1 Yes, think that would be especially useful for music files

Feature request: Give users the option to receive email notifications when someone purchases his/her product(s).

+1 Good call, then sellers don't always have to return to the dashboard to check balances, etc.. looks like something viable Smiley

Haha omg!

Did anyone try this yet? Sooo haaaaaaaard!

https://www.coinbounce.com/products/square-madness

How did that go?  Cheesy
14  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Open for Beta] Earn Bitcoin by selling your digital creation on: February 13, 2014, 05:29:37 PM
Do you support .psd file? Was trying to upload a photoshop file.

We do not support .psd right off the bat, but what you can do is to compress the psd file into a zip/rar file which we do support.
Hope that works Cheesy Do let us know if there's anything else we can help
15  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Open for Beta] Earn Bitcoin by selling your digital creation on: February 12, 2014, 03:44:16 PM
It looks really good, needs a bit more features though..
maybe some previews will be good, especially for audio files Smiley

Good call on the audio. Would you be able to elaborate further on what other features that you would like to see or find useful? In the perspective of a buyer or seller?

I like it! I like the design as well as your site's logo. This is also a great idea as others have commented.

Bookmarked.

Thanks @TRZN! Glad that you like it. Do let us know what's missing or when you have something that you wish to put on sale

Yay. My Twisty Cube's on the front page!
Anyway, I hope you'll add a search feature and categories.

Yup great idea, we will definitely consider adding that in. Categorization sounds useful to people looking to shop.
Thanks!

Wonderful website! I just added a graphic logo for sale! I just agree with previous posters, it would be great if part of the service you provide is helping to sell the product! Like recommending different products to people based on past purchases, and a way to browse through the listings.
Otherwise an overall amazing job Smiley Two thumbs up

Thanks!! Yea we are thinking of the best ways to do that. As of now, our goal is to make it easy for sellers to get their product up on sale.
We would hope that the sellers use the link at its best by selling directly to their audience - on their web page, forum, twitter, facebook, g+, etc..
Do let us know in detail on how else you feel about it  Smiley

Looking forward to it!

That's great!

We have added a simple store front which we will soon expand further & also added gravatar support for user's profile photo

19  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Open for Beta] Earn Bitcoin by selling your digital creation on: February 10, 2014, 01:55:20 PM
Looking good! I was able to immediately start selling this: https://www.coinbounce.com/products/twisty-cube
I have a suggestion, though. It'd be great if people could browse listings like on Amazon and other online marketplaces.

Awesome idea! Will definitely add that into the pipeline down the road.

Another thing, how long does it take for accounts to be credited for purchases? To test the service, I bought one of my own uploads using a different email address. I was able to download the purchase and received a confirmation email, but my CoinBounce dashboard still shows a balance of 0 BTC.

We are putting a 12 hour window for now before the balance gets updated. We have plans to work on this in order to reduce the time window.
After that, you should be able to withdraw the balance immediately into your Bitcoin wallet (we would suggest a Coinbase wallet).

Do let us know, if there's anything else we can help  Cheesy

Just checked my balance again today, and I can confirm that payment was received. 12 hours is a bit of a long time to wait, but it definitely does work!

Sounds good! Apologies that it has to be that way, but we will work on something in order to trim that down  Cheesy
