1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - very currency many coin - lite version of dogecoin on: May 13, 2015, 04:54:10 PM
Proposed Wallet Design.

The following members are all involved in trying to upgrade the Wallet:
•   aquitasIJ
•   MinerFTW
•   Mellon
•   ctgiant
•   PeterVenter

Please communicate amongst each other. I've forwarded all the latest graphics to ctgiant.

Just for the sake of adding new graphics please do not release a new wallet and upgrade.. You can hold this graphics until dev does a major update in wallet.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking on Cloud on: May 01, 2015, 07:02:57 PM
After doing a bit of VPS feature and price comparison between Namecheap and Vultr I think I would strongly lean towards Vultr.  You can start for as little as $5/mo for 1 CPU and 768 MB of RAM and they have a far more granular and ultimately cheaper pricing structure.

Thank you. Received your PM as well.

I think, the first thing you need to know what you want... a managed VPS or an unmanaged one. For unmanaged VPS, I'd recommend Amazon Cloud over Digital Ocean. For managed VPS, I'd recommend http://besthostfree.com/vps-hosting.html. As evident from the following thread, a lot of people on this forum has used this service as well...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=617213.0

I am going to stake POS coins. I am not sure which type of VPS should I opt.. managed or unmanaged? what difference does it make to run multiple wallets mainly for staking? Appreciate your info.

-If youre staking coins Blackcoin which refers to POS2,  -I guess- 512 MB ram configuration is enough.

PS: Other posters were more interested in VPS services , but I guess you were asking the configuration needed to work with 3 wallets.

Before deciding to buy a VPS , you may need rethink why you want to stake 24/7.

Yes, My only purpose is to run POS2 wallets and stake. I wish to stake 24/7 coz thats how POS2 coins work as I see. Thanks for info.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking on Cloud on: May 01, 2015, 05:26:21 PM
Personally I kind of like http://www.namecheap.com (and they accept bitcoin;)

But there are now dozens of places offering VPS services and accepting crypto as payment which makes them all the more convenient imho.

appreciate your info. I had a look at https://www.namecheap.com/hosting/vps.aspx Which config is best if i wanted to run mutiple wallets? VPS Lite - Xen?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Staking on Cloud on: May 01, 2015, 05:13:15 PM
Hi, I do not wish to run my personal pc 24/7 for staking purpose. I heard good things about cloud vps. Any recommendations and relevant information?

I see in digitalocean.com the following plans. https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing/

If I want to run 3 wallets 24/7 for staking purpose which plan should I opt? Looks like there is no option for windows :/

thank you.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - Hard fork at block 51k. Update wallet. on: April 19, 2015, 06:58:08 PM
by the way....

This is my last post to this forum. A moderator deleting posts he/she just don't like, personally motivated, when the user hasn't crossed the line and hasn't insulted anyone, is totally unacceptable. Shame, because some people in this community are really great guys.

From now on, I will be silent.
I wish best of luck to everybody.

One of my GIF post was deleted as well. The mod seems to have itchy fingers.. he should take it easy and delete only offensive posts. Some people complained about him and there was a thread about this. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1026785.0

Wall of post. Appreciate you posting though.

looks like the chain is stalled, prolly due to high PoS diff and many people moving out of stake, guess we'll have to wait, or maybe dev can hardfork this to reduce minimum PoS diff.

also anyone with mature coins should stake at this point!

Im 40 minutes away from a Pos block but its been counting down pretty slow like 1 minute each 10 minutes.

your coins will not mature any further unless the chain starts moving, maturity is based on blocks passed not on actual minutes/hours/days. the only saving grave is is someone staking currently finds a nounce to solve a high diff pos requirment

Does that mean, coin code has flaws?

So I guess the template now is 1) Ninja launch 2) Dark Masternodes 3) Make coin supply as rare as you possibly can.  Excellent.

True words. Earlier it used to be Anon

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRON] Positron - SHA256 - Dev Doxed Self -- We want to save altcoins. on: April 18, 2015, 09:18:50 PM
You said many times that "dynamic pos" is your invention, however Litedoge had it before you.
Just because you call it "dynamic pos" does not mean that you are innovative.
I do hold a bunch of $TRON about 20 btc worth, so i hesitated saying anything about that. But you are saying it every day now in almost every post you make.

Will you make real innovations in the future or will you just copy things from other coins then call the things a different name and then say how innovative you are? Just want to know what to expect.

Also you promised to make a roadmap. Where is it?

You are the LDOGE coin developer. How about you go back and fix the LDOGE POS wallet? Where is the working wallet?
The forking has nothing to do with this.
I have been trying to fix the forking. It used to work perfectly until my checkpointing server crashed.

Appreciate your response. Thanks. Will wait.

im rebaseing wallets. think i did all from original hash/genesis etc now going into pics / logo's etc

I'm wait your answer Miner. Plz check the thread.

@MinterFTW - Please go easy with mellon. He has been contributing much to the community. Due to his limited English he was not able to ask nicely. He was asking for your help. Looks like complete misunderstanding between you two.

Glad the original dev is back.

The video wil be made, hopefully we get more donation, but for now i pay from my  own money. I really like how active LDOGE has become. Many possibilties, much future.

Litedoge ROADMAP - Version 1

Proposed Litedoge RoadMap - Any comments welcome.

Great job PeterVenter. Nice presentation. Asset based feature in long-term goal sounds really interesting.

But without Wallet fix we are not going anywhere.  Cheesy
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - very currency many coin - lite version of dogecoin on: April 16, 2015, 07:30:41 PM
Plan:
I am syncing my node to luongdk's vps
Will make a hardcoded checkpoint in the code
Will compile the wallet with the hardcoded checkpoints
Everyone downloads the new wallet after i am done and completely resyncs their chain

What block you put the checkpoint to?
Someone is still staking and generated new blocks to my wallet and sync to explorer.
You are still on the same block as the explorer right?

Yes, I am. But someone still rolling my wallet and explorer.
As long as you are on the same block as the explorer its ok

Here dev. someone can help you out he is pos master coder.

presstab
ok well if you guys are still interested this weekend then let me know. I will need equivalent of $50/hr and it could be 5-10 hours depending on how fucked up the coin actually is.

get it fixed or let us do all and stay away. How you do it now you cost a lot of money to a lot of people.
Also very odd that there are ppl staking on explorer chain also without problems and they are not speaking here so i assume it are your addies / stakes with dif code?

Looking at the current value it is way to much/risky.

I think we could manage around 60-75M LDOGE in donations. Would that be convenient?

Else we have to look for a less pricy dev, I think? Anyone?

I have offered 100 million of my personal ldoge to contribute.  All ldoge has to do is get to 2 sats and the dev makes more than he is asking

Best regards
D57heinz

I think the best way forward is someone who would be willing to accept ldoge for payment that way they have stake in getting the code right!

IMO, You can take over the $LDOGE as I assume you hold lot of coins. You are also generous and can treat a developer well, so he sticks around for future enhancements too.
