Personally, I think the reason why Bitcoin was created is to solve the shortcomings of physical money and lessen the dependence on the authority issuing it. If we try to issue a physical form of Bitcoin, we are getting Bitcoin centralized. Everything will be back to the square.

Bitcoin isn't really a disaster for banks, but more or less, it has certain influence on banks. Bitcoin is underpinned by Blockchain technology and therefore, it makes banks seem obsolete. Some banks have to use blockchain to improve their system to compete with Bitcoin.

As you have already known, Bitcoin is decentralized and that means no one controls and can control anything of it, price included. Real controller doesn't exist, but indirect controllers do exist. They are  rich investors, called whales, who bought a great number of Bitcoins. Because of that, they have ability to sell a lot of coins so that people do panic selling then buy at lower price, or buy a lot of coins and afterwards do actual sell to earn profits. This sometimes also happens to stock market which is strictly controlled by states.

Bitcoin is an digital asset. And Dollar is a currency. One standard of currency is to be a unit of account meaning that money is used to measure value of asset. Bitcoin is an asset and its value needs measuring. Fiat money like dollar is just that measurement, not impacts the value or price of Bitcoin. Accordingly, we can't say Bitcoin depends on fiat. Fiat is actually just a measurement.
