serms my s15 will not use fixed mode with your firmwire.

flashed it with sd and all. the firmwire got loaded but fixed mode doesent seems to work.

is there anyway to change "low temp enviroment"?

i dont have ida pro version. is there any other software that work with elf to arm?

newbie here

just curious have you been working any on the voltage control? Smiley

This is a very good question. First on the CRC error -- that is going to happen some and is only a problem if it is constant. It happens on even the stock firmwares depending on machines, temps, frequencies, and phase of the moon.

Temperatures will play into how far you can push these, but there is not a clear formula for that. What's really interesting is I have a customer with a large install (1000+ machines) who has observed that there is a point where the machines get too cold and slow down! I'm unsure of the exact details on the temperatures, just the observation that was shared with me.

So yes, temperature has a play both when going up and when going down.

The summers here are very hot -- my miners I had to constantly tune even through the day to get maximum out of them; they always ran best at night.

I hope this helps some.

Jason

I Reflashed the firmware and now i can push it higher then 656mhz. Temps now is 49-50c fans 2000 rpm

Okey. well if it starts to drop When there is to cold outside i have to split the intake air abit Smiley Thanks for that info.

Another question..

I also tried the Biggie firmware earlier, with the same Mhz it could spike to +17ksols avg was the around 14.5 i think
i got higher spikes with the "biggie" firmware then the mini.

Avg is better at the mini FW though Smiley
Good job! will buy the license when you start bringing in new ones Smiley

Thoughts.

z9 mini
I have my miners Hosted outside, OR direct outside air, we have been having around -15c and the miner worked great got it up to stable at 681mhz since release.
2 fans front 1800rpm rear 1640 rpm Chips temp around 28-30c  hash Avg 14.9ksols

Today the weather Drastically changed to +2c and i got all 3 boards xxxx

seems that it was the bm1740_verify_nonce_integrality CRC error. Reebooted but only took like 7min then got the same error again.
But after that ive only been able to maintain 656mhz.

soon as i go above that i loose one board.

CAN it be possible that the colder the chips can be maintained the higher mhz we can maintain? I never tried above 681mhz
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Z9 Mini all batches 1-4 Unlocked with working temp and fan on: November 22, 2018, 09:01:00 PM
With this fw is it possible to get above 657mhz and nit to loose one board?

You got the batch 4 to 737?
Regards

Cool the odd thing is the firmware on it is the same as the firmware currently on bitmain. It only has balanced for freq options.  The batch 1 fw runs fine with only 1 board reporting temp. I ran your z9 2.0d and stock z9 firmware on this mini it runs fine but same thing no temps on any board but it clocks up to 737 stable your fw also unlocked the 4th port on the controller so I could run an extra hashboard where the stock mini only allows 3.

Wait...what??! Ur running Z9 FW on your Z9 mini and it works fine? Shocked

Dev fee version has always worked, the issue has been the temp controls and such which is why I have not been recommending it

Jason

Sorry for asking, ive been using your 2.0D on my mini batch2.

Automatic fan doesent work, but i can manually set it and it works Smiley Using push/pull with 2 fans.
Temp reading seems to work on 1 board i still got numbers on the other boards but only like 15 and 7c.

But my hashrate is fluctuating alot.
With batch 1 firmwire its between 14.0-14.4  Average 14.3ksols at 662MHZ Highest i can go.
With your FW its between 12-18k Average  14.7ksols at 681MHZ

Its kinda like 2board jumps up to 6-8 ksols and one board goes down to 2-5ksols.
next its the other 2 board that jumps up and another one goes down.

are you aware of this? Smiley and sorry again for asking about the mini when your priority are on payed biggies Smiley

and great job btw!  Grin

Try lowering mhz. Almost the same happened to me in batch 2.
Try lower to 650 an go up from that.
9  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer S9 Volt Rocket Ship firmware mod! ~Time to Max Out Your Bitmain PSU~ on: July 29, 2018, 07:23:18 PM
Hi great job with the firmware!

Ive managed to change the bmminer to 8.8v 9v and changing back to original. Its an 13.5th with 1600w bitmain psu

At first it worked great with the 8.8v 725mhz. Temperature around
93-97c.

Then it just stopped hashing after a few hours and playing around with the miner.

It works for 3-4 min then it stops to hash. In the log ut says to high temperature. And then all of a sudden i starts to get "lost connection" i have other miners on the same Network and they still work.

Does anyone see anything strange in the log?
Thanks for all the help. Smiley and keep up the work with the coding!
