1  Economy / Economics / Re: Will inflation in the world grow by 2023? on: May 22, 2023, 08:44:23 AM
Reading the morning summaries of the newspaper, I came across an article that, according to forecasts, inflation will not remain within the limits of the predicted non-percentages, but will increase and grow, thereby creating economic instability in the world. Do you think it is worth relying on the opinion of economic experts? There have not been any official statements from banks by country yet, but the dynamics show that inflation is growing along with the annual rate of banks. But now it is quite high in all countries, respectively, the rise in price and instability in the markets should be expected or a slight increase in inflation is possible, which will not affect the economy of the world?

Inflation is increasing every year and this year also it will increase. You can take some steps to fight against it like investing in good stocks instead of keeping money in banks.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: When will we stop living for the weekend? Escaping the 9-5 life. on: May 22, 2023, 08:40:40 AM
Time passes, and we have nothing to look forward to. We watch our lives pass, and the only thing we're looking forward to is the weekend or 20 days per year of paid time off. We're working a whole year, from 9 to 5 and sometimes even more, at someone else's business just to have an approximate of 20 days of vacation and two days off per week, with many of us having one or even none per week. Is it just me, or does this life sound completely depressing to me? Our ambitions are completely crushed by such a daily routine; our days off are mostly to get things done around the house and to rest. By the time that happens, the day has passed, and we have to go to work again.

At least where I'm at, having two days off per week is considered extremely lucky and privileged, especially if it's two days in a row. Personally, I only had one day off per week, and it honestly wasn't enough. On the one hand, I wanted to get things done around the house and rest, but on the other hand, I didn't want to stay inside doing practically nothing to enjoy myself. Thus, the single day off wasn't even close to being enough. Certainly, I'd be better off with two consecutive days off, but still, is that how you want your life to be for the next 10–20 years, or even more?

On the one hand, I don't want to complain; through the last few years of working, I've been on vacation four times, from 2020 to 2022, which isn't bad at all. On the other hand, I'd like to constantly travel and explore new destinations, the majority of which we'll never experience through this way of life.

Do you believe that there's a true way to escape this vicious cycle, or are we doomed to live like this forever? Telling me that my minor savings in Bitcoin are going to settle me for the rest of my life isn't going to cut it, because the majority of us won't ever have enough Bitcoin to retire.

Are you satisfied with this way of life, or would you prefer to live a different way? What would you like to change and how? Personally, I'm clueless and not satisfied with the idea of spending the rest of my life like this.

Here are some ways:

1) Quit your work and work on freelance. That gives you freedom to travel.

2) Take jobs that require travelling. Like vlogging.

3) Invest money in stocks , grow it and then retire. Then travel as much as you want.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the difference between banks and big whales in crypto? on: May 22, 2023, 08:39:08 AM
Banks are earning big profit from our deposits, they earn bigger than the interest that we get from our deposit because they put a bigger interest rate through thier borrower's or lenders, i think bank is not too far from big whales in crypto they buy or collect coins in dip and they sell in bull and they earn bigger from the holders that sell at loss  they are almost the same or what? What dou you think?

The main difference is that banks are controlled by government while whales are private individuals like you and me. In some countries, banks deposits are insured as well till certain amount.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: May 22, 2023, 08:37:49 AM
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?

No, this is not true. There are less people using it for business in comparison to those using for social activity. Most of the people already have their jobs or studies and they are on social media for fun only. Less than 1% might be using it for business.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much does Bitcoin affect other cryptocurrency? on: May 21, 2023, 06:01:16 PM
I think bitcoin affects some cryptocurrency because the main market uses bitcoin. So if bitcoin goes down and ups also some crypto currencies follows bitcoin. The impact is always there. So don't worry about it because it's been nature in the crypto world.

The scenario has changed a lot. Now usdt is used in main market instead of bitcoin. Most people keep funds in usdt because of stability.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: May 21, 2023, 05:58:42 PM
A friend suggested Bitcoin to me about 1 year ago. I have been trying to learn the history of Bitcoin ever since. How to earn from Bitcoin, I learned that investing will make profit or loss. Success can never be achieved without risk. Then I became interested in investing in Bitcoin. My family is a very poor family. I am studying now and earning BDT 7000 per month from tuition, BDT 3000 I spend on running my household. BDT 3000 is my monthly expenses and I save BDT 1000, I save around BDT 10000 in a year and invest in Bitcoin. I will hold the investment for a long time. According to many researchers, we will soon see a bull market. Bitcoin will be over $100K in 2025

But the main thing is that bitcoin is still illegal in our country, I invested bitcoin very carefully.

Lately I think it is better to invest in bitcoins than depositing money in the bank. Day by day people have lost trust in banks. It is heard that many banks are going bankrupt and closing down.

As a student your focus should be on studies and not on crypto because

1) There is age for everything. If you compromise studies for crypto, you will repent it later.

2) If you focus on studies, you can earn more and spend that money to acquire more crypto.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: May 21, 2023, 05:57:25 PM
Are you still there and holding your bitcoins? What happened to your life after 10 years in bitcoin? Is there any changes?

I am using bitcoin for transactions and thus I do not hold a lot. I get payments in crypto and use it to pay for services which buy. Most of the services like hosting which I used to buy with paypal earlier now I do with crypto.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new milestone: 1M addresses hold 1 Bitcoin on: May 21, 2023, 05:56:15 PM
The last past weeks have been really challenging and tough for bitcoiners as a result of the high transaction fees caused by ordinals on the network. Despite this setback, Bitcoin is still conquering, setting the pace and hitting milestone achievement. According to glassnode, the number of address holding atleast 1 BTC are now 1 million. According to the report, last year when the market took a deep dive, a good number of persons were wise enough to grab some bags. Although, some addresses belong to crypto exchanges and some persons might have more than one wallet address but this milestone achievement is worth celebrating.

Source: https://cryptoslate.com/insights/a-new-milestone-1m-addresses-hold-1-bitcoin/

It is a very good stat which shows that more and more people are using bitcoin. They are holding 1 bitcoin which is big amount in dollars and this shows their trust on crypto. The numbers will increase with time with more users.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: May 21, 2023, 08:45:22 AM
Hi,

I’m looking to invest 10k, I’m trying to decide if to go with XRP or ADA.

In terms of holding I can do it for 1-3 years no real time limit. Not sure what returns I might get short term vs long term. ADA for example i might get 3 to 4 x return, however with XRP that might be a lot more should they win the court case.

My slight worry is what happens if XRP lose.

P

You cannot control the result of court case, so do not bet on it. Avoid XRP especially if the money you are investing is precious to you. If you have higher risk appetite on other hand, you can take this risk and enjoy the high reward ratio that comes with xrp investment.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats Your Favourite Meme Coins? on: May 21, 2023, 08:42:57 AM
Doge is the biggest meme coin. Current condition is not good but with all the love and support it has from Elon Musk, it will go very far in future.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will altcoins thrive in the shadow of Bitcoin ? on: March 13, 2023, 09:15:30 AM
It is possible for some alt coin to cross the market cap on bitcoin in  future. But that will not reduce the importance and value of bitcoin. When we talk about crypto, first thing that comes in mind of 99% people is bitcoin.

So far as the survival of alt coins is concerned, some alt coins will do well. Like BAT for example , it is related to Brave browser and I really like the integration of Brave and Bat coin. Getting rewarded for using a browser plus the browser has many other use cases like no ads while browsing YouTube videos. What more can a user ask for ?
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 06, 2023, 04:49:11 AM
On before now gambling was seen as a dirty habit and was painted black in the society because way back the society believes any gambler have so many bad habits too like doing drugs which most gamblers was mafias not just mafias but rich people .But in this present world now gambling is seen as a business which both young (+18) and old part in which in the old times gambling was base most times about money wasn’t base on sport but now is modernize into different kind of sport that why in west Africa there are so many gambling and betting companies because is been accepted by the public now as a medium of making extra cash basically gambling to me was for men but now you can see woman parting in gambling games which everyone in that habit believes each day he/she must make more returns than he/she has spent to stake just as an entrepreneur knows that risk management of any business he/she is operating,a gambler knows that their is high risk in every stake but their believes so much in good future that good must always come by that no matter the amount a gambler loses believes his coming will earn that triple times .So my question now is that can someone use gambling as a means of earning living?

Do not depend on gambling as only source of earning ? It should be treated as a fun activity only.
13  Other / Archival / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: February 20, 2023, 03:47:48 AM
It is hard to explain bitcoin to a regular person. Tell him in brief. If he is interested, he will do the research himself and get involved. In the journey, he will develop some doubts. But there are forums like bitcointalk which he will anyway discuss on searching queries related to crypto on Google. You can only show a direction to the person, you cannot hold his hand and make him invest in bitcoin.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a true discussion without the sig tail wailing? on: February 20, 2023, 03:44:40 AM
OP if you agree to what you are saying, why have you applied in a signature campaign in past.

Is it the rejection by campaign manager that caused change of heart and now you hate signature campaigns ?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've invested around 450 dollars into bitcoin so far and I am 16 years old on: February 19, 2023, 02:28:54 PM
Currently, I am a sophomore in high school. I learned about btc from my dad and btc blew my mind and I was hooked. I've been pretty much putting all that I can into it for a year and a half now. Are there any tips you guys give me? 2/3 of my bitcoin is in Stockpile and the other third is with my dad (I'm not sure how he's storing it). At this moment I own a total of 0.01798185 bitcoin Smiley

You should be happy that you started so early. Keep the trust on crypto and bitcoin and you will be rewarded big way in future.

You should also share the information and benefits with friends so that they also start investing in crypto. If you want to explore work opportunities in crypto field, you should look for related courses as well.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reasons for holding bitcoins? on: February 19, 2023, 02:27:10 PM
I am holding bitcoins because:

1) It is the first crypto.

2) It is based on blockchain which I trust.

3) My clients want to pay me in bitcoins

4) I have got good returns by holding and investing in bitcoins so far

5) Bitcoin has a limited supply which makes it more valuable

You are trying to make the readers emotional but if mods start behaving on emotions and not on logic, the forum will be affected badly. Rules are rules.
