1  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: where are miners selling now days with mtgox having issues? on: June 22, 2011, 02:04:43 AM
not selling as long as the market under $20

Exactly; I'm just holding.  Not really in any hurry.

It rejected what I would consider a very strong password ... I hope they understand that making passwords harder just encourages people to write them down, which is actually less secure in the long run.  You figure since they took so long to fix it; they would at least do it right instead of going nuts. FAIL.
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Verification Fail, Check Hardward. Need Help!! Ill Tip for solution. on: June 17, 2011, 02:52:17 PM
I had this exact error (poclbm + deepbit) when overclocking my 3x 5830s yesterday (985/325).  I would run for a while (no consistent time frame), then one of my cards would throw the "Verification Fail, Check Hardware" and go the command line (linux, ubuntu 10.04 LTS).  I rebooted and ran it again.  This time; a different card threw the error and stopped.  I have to think that there's a power issue related to my overclocking (750W PSU).  I have since tuned my cards back down to manageable 900/300, and I haven't seen an error since.  So if there's another problem; I would love to hear it because I was getting 300MH+ with the higher GPU clocking. Sad

I run a very similar system w/ 3x Sapphire 5830s (haven't gone the riser route to fit a 4th).

More project right now is to build out expansion slot rigging, there's a lot of cool ideas in the Miners Forum.

I mine at deepbit w/ BTGGuild as failover.

Free

Right before I started mining; I called my power company and had them switch me to "budget billing"; which takes your usage over the last year, and divides it out evenly per month. Wink  Boy are they going to be surprised this month! LOL!

Wont that mean it will just shoot up your average in future however?

Luckily mine is included in my apartment rental so anything I make will be free Smiley

I plan to move my rigs into my datacenter before the year is up; then switch back to normal billing. Wink

I really don't understand why people say 5830 are out of stock ... maybe if you're only looking at online store.  Grab the Yellow Pages (maybe yp.com; didn't try it), call around at the stores under "Computers". Bam! I picked up 10 cards today from 3 different places.

I've signed up for btxguild; but I just haven't switch from deepbit yet. I do like their interface better though.

Long time lurker; finally wanting to comment. Smiley
