1  Other / Meta / Re: I demand redsn0w be removed from default trust on: January 01, 2015, 08:21:25 PM
Is redsn0w even in the default trust list?

He is at "Trust Depth 2". So yes.

See here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust

Now I see him. Catching up with recent events I can see that lately it's popular to demand the removal of someone fom the default trust ilst.

Is redsn0w even in the default trust list?

And also, I remember some mods were saying that if your report percentage is over 60% it's above average.
4  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: RAP - Bitcoin Instructional RAP lyric on: June 17, 2014, 10:25:12 PM
I read it(or sang it) in my mind, sounds pretty good! Would love to hear someone record it.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ★☆ Get Help Here | The Ultimate Help Thread! | Free WoodWallet Giveaways! ★☆ on: June 17, 2014, 10:21:56 PM
Here I come with another question!

Why SHA256 and not another algo?
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoinpete - Hater or someone to take serious? on: June 17, 2014, 08:42:38 PM
The name, Bitcoinpete, does ring a bell. Don't remember actually reading anything on that site, so I won't opinionate.
Just wanted to say that I heard about it since a whole while ago(if not mistaken), so he/she/them aren't quite new to the bitcoin scene.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TigerDirect.ca now accepts bitcoin! on: June 17, 2014, 08:38:51 PM
Was just about to post the same thing... that it's old news, until you noticed you guys talking about Canada.
Of course.. TigerDirect.CA. This is good news! If adopting Bitcoin on TigerDirect.com wouldn't have went well, they wouldn't have started offering it on TigerDirect.ca
Just my 2 cents.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.9.2 has been released on: June 17, 2014, 08:34:37 PM
Awesome! Thank you core developers! Didn't get the chance to test the 9.2 RC, but will take this for a spin in short time.
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Get Free Bitcoins - Bitcoin Faucets That Really Pay Review on: June 12, 2014, 12:09:15 AM
Nice list, but are you sure you posted in the right part of the forum?
10  Other / Meta / Re: Post your BTC Address here, in case your forum account is hacked. on: June 11, 2014, 11:40:36 PM
Well, as far as I know, it's one of the ways to reset the password to your account in case your account is hacked.
11  Other / Meta / Re: Post your BTC Address here, in case your forum account is hacked. on: June 11, 2014, 11:20:12 PM
So 14 replies, not even one posted a BTC address in this thread. Why not just send an address under your control to another user? Pretty sure admins can see PMs.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Ultimate Help Thread! on: June 11, 2014, 09:49:45 PM
Let me know if that answers your question (:
It sure did Smiley. To be honest, I knew the difference, but wanted to get this thread started. I'll just ask some stuff that I find interesting to get another opinion, so feel free to ignore my posts if other do actually need help.

Ok, next question: There are rumors that Satoshi has ~ 1 mil. BTC. How can we be sure?
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15-Year-Old Makes $100,000 on Bitcoin on: June 11, 2014, 09:38:21 PM
Quite astounding Smiley. Just goes to prove how awesome Bitcoin is! Way to go kid.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I buy a USB miner? I get free electricity... on: June 09, 2014, 09:54:25 PM
Seems like all constructive stuff has already been said, so all I can really say in this thread is LOL.
OP, are you by any chance a teenager?

Being a teenager does not mean anything in any way. Being naive is another thing, which means to not think and consider things properly.

I don't tend to judge by age. But it would certainly make more sense if OP is a teenager, than being 30yo or more and counting on his parents' 'free electricity'. That would be sad Smiley.
But either way, you can always change things in your life for the better.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Ultimate Help Thread! on: June 09, 2014, 09:47:46 PM
While I wouldn't use Washington Post as a reliable news source for Bitcoin, most of those answers were pretty spot on.
I know right? Times are changing, and we're starting to see major news websites actually doing their homework on Bitcoin.
But, so I won't be completely off-topic, I'll also add a question that a lot of newbies might have, as I noticed some tend to confuse the two:

What is the difference between nodes and miners?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for: Chart of Altcoin Market Cap versus Bitcoin Market Cap in FIAT on: June 09, 2014, 09:23:38 PM
You can check http://coingecko.com it's a pretty nice and resourceful site. It's still in Beta and it doesn't have exactly what you are asking, but maybe you can email them, like I said, it's still in Beta.

If you plan to start your own, maybe just a one-page website, with just these two values would be enough. Nice, simple, clean and minimal.
Where do you plan on getting the data from?

18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What would be the best method to purchase 60,00USD of Bitcoin? on: June 09, 2014, 08:54:29 PM
As a new user, fastest way may be through localbitcoins.com, as some already suggested this site.
All(if I'm not mistaken) serious exchanges require some user validation, which may take a couple of business days and may be an impediment if you don't want to divulge your identity or are too paranoid.

Great idea for a thread. While I don't have any questions, I would just like to leave this link here, as it's a list of interesting questions a newbie might have: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-switch/wp/2013/11/19/12-questions-you-were-too-embarrassed-to-ask-about-bitcoin/
