Successfully bought a Dota 2 Beta Key, no problems, fast as heck. Smiley
MUCH better than my previous transaction (got scammed 24BTC).
2  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Beware user SHIFT! He is a SCAMMER! on: September 05, 2011, 10:44:02 AM
I think I'm going to hold off on buying anything else with BTC, it's just not worth the risk.

I lost 24 BTC from this guy, hopefully no one else will follow my footsteps.

It's disgusting how much time and effort people put into scamming. Go find a real life, losers.
3  Economy / Marketplace / Beware user SHIFT! He is a SCAMMER! on: September 03, 2011, 05:46:10 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=35926

As a heads up, don't buy from this guy.
This guy just scammed me 24 BTC for an iPhone he never sent. The only "proof" of shipment I have from him is a PM saying on August 12th "I just dropped off the phone in the mail."
No tracking number or anything. It's been 3 weeks and I have yet to receive a shipment.

I've been PMing him since and I have yet to receive any reply and it appears that he hasn't been online for 2 weeks now.
However, it does seem that he is keeping busy on his website:
http://www.teamw.in/main

I've been trading online for over six years now and this is the first time I've been scammed. Not a very pleasant first experience here at bitcointalk.

I will try to message this guy on his website, but before I do, any advice?

All input is appreciated, thanks for listening to my rant.
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bad deal on: August 31, 2011, 11:16:23 AM
user: SHIFT

SHIFT offered to sell me a PSP battery that was, in his words, "working and brand new."  I paid the equivalent of ~$15 in BTC (1.7).  The battery that arrived was broken and in no sort of original packaging.  SHIFT clearly had broken one of the small, plastic tabs off that hold the battery in place.  It also seems he tried to pry the battery open judging from the scratch marks along the side.  SHIFT most likely tried to mod the battery into a Pandora battery or similar. In the process he broke off the plastic tab and bricked the battery. He then proceeded to sell it to me without conscience.

I think I might have to second SHlFT as a scammer. I bought an iPhone 3GS off of him 3 weeks ago and it still has yet to arrive and there is no proof of shipment. Not a good first experience in the community, losing 22 BTC.
Beware!

Just took my 2Ghash/s setup out of MTred and into BitClockers. Smiley
Let's see how this goes.

I keep mine at 470MHhash/s but it could easily do your hashrate with some extra cooling. I don't want to push it too hard because I want to keep this card as long as possible. Same for my 5850.

I can do even higher cause the card is only at 34*C full load using water cooling. But I don't want to risk adding more voltage and frying the VRMs.

gonna try that for a day and see if it's stable Smiley

I see you use Phoenix miner instead of OpenCL, and as I know it is higher hash rate for all 58xx and 5970 as long as you stay with Phoenix. But what about temperatures? Are they the same as using OpenCL? (considering the same clocks and voltage) and how much hash rate in average could you possibly increase with single 5870 with Phoenix over OpenCL?

I found Pheonix was on average 15-20Mhash/s faster than OpenCL after an improved kernel. Temperatures had no differences.

7  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why the price panic? (does anyone know anything about the 7th-Aug massive sell?) on: August 11, 2011, 07:37:24 AM
I'm not gonna lie, I almost panic sold when I saw the prices dropping.
8  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Catalyst 11.6 vs 11.6b vs 11.7 comparison on: August 11, 2011, 07:24:44 AM
11.7 is great! It fixed the problem with UVD and other GPU accelerated apps freezing the system when mining.

Hi there,

I would like to submit a request to be whitelisted.

I have been registered on the forums for about 2 months now, durring which I've racked up a lot of bitcoins via mining and playing the buy low sell high game.
And now I'm itchy to spend some of it in the marketplace.

On top of that, I'd like to be able to have a place to discuss bitcoin topics if something like the MTGox incident were to ever happen again.

Thank you for your time.

Also, no offence, but 4Mhash/s is almost worthless. It will take you ages to make anything profitable.

I had the same problem with Cat 11.6. Updating to 11.7 solved it.

I just got my shiny new Asus Transformer that I use for checking emails and whole lot more Smiley

I think I set a record for the highest hashrate for a 5870.
The card is watercooled with a swiftech MCW80 block as well as hard volt modded Smiley

Hi all,

I'm ian209 (AKA: Locoyokopoco). Been fairly new to bitcoin mining, but I come from a relatively experienced computer background.
I'm currently mining in the MTRed pool with my two unlocked 6950's, a 5870 and a 5850; all of which are watercooled and overclocked to the moon.
I figured I had the hardware, might as well put it to good use Smiley
