Hey guys, I've been out of the loop for the past couple of weeks. There is a lot for me to read up on, can somebody gimme a quick summary as to possible reason that the price has plummet so much? It seems like the dev are doing a lot an the community is still active. Maybe too many mine and dump? Any ideas?

Hey guys,
I'm looking to point my miners to an altcoin with the intention of holding long term. Coino is one my strongest candidate coin, just a few questions to help me understand better:
1. I read an article linked on the OP about the improved security, but how is that so if there is only 2 confirmation? doesn't that make this coin more prone to double spending?
2. I remember Coino being at 20000 satoshis? what happened that it came down so much? I understand all altcoins have lost quite a bit of steam from Bitcoin's crash, but seems like Coino went down even more significantly compared to other altcoins
3. I really like the idea of the credit and debit card idea. But doesn't bank fees still apply for merchants? how does this work?
Otherwise, seems like a great community, and I get the sense the dev team is very serious and professional. Thanks for taking the time to help me understand.

Its too bad this is happening, i thought this is a legitimately a great coin. The growth was better than Dogecoin when it was 7 days old. After reading the past 20 or so pages, here is what i think happened:
1. It seems plausible that Sev and other members of the dev team are really aware, or at least the utmost importance of holding onto their shares. This seems to make sense since it appears there has been very little interaction between Wolong and the rest of the team since launch.
2. I was quite disappointed with the way Wolong handled this entire situation, even if some of the dev member dumped some of their coins (a relatively small amount) against their agreement, this can easily be resolved privately. It puzzles why he would even dump his coins before there was a honest conversation about it. But i guess his behavior on twitter does indicate he is poor at conflict resolution.
3. I think Wolong does intend to pump this to 500 satoshis, even if he intended to scam all of us. I'm not sure what he would be afraid of that makes him doubt he could pump the price the same way with Doge. In fact, this would be easier than Doge, as he doesn't have to deal with shaking out Multopoolers. The only thing that would make sense to me is that he really just did it out of anger, to flex his muscles to stroke his own ego. He's probably a young man trying to find himself, especially with the way he constantly elevate himself, over reaction to haters, and dissing other coins.
4. We trusted him because not only we're investing in pandacoin, which i think is objectively good, but he also put his reputation and even more so, his ego on the line, I thought surely he wouldn't let this tank. Boy, i was fooled
5. I thought the IPO was a good idea, it attracts publicity and overall health of the coin. So I didn't really mind the 3% premine, but then of course, we only wonder if these people who bought actually exist
5. Wolong is a really gifted investor, if i'm a banker I'd hire him if he is mature as a person, i see him doing great things one day. Even though many of us are angry.
6. The dev team seems to have a great handle on things, i feel bad that this scandal hurt UNO.
+1 and also i think the devs should make their pandacoin address public that we can check before investing panda coin, and i believe that's the only way to save panda coin. The panda coin is nice, say it again Give me one reason why to trust any of them ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) ? Invest again in such a coin is the stupiest thing you can do. Each moment the next big unexpected dump can begin. And in most cases i begans exactly at the monet you spend your BTCThere are soo much good other coins, why to take an extra portion risk investing in PANDA ? I would've sold everything if i found out he's selling his own share as the price was tanking. Since i didn't find out until its 20 satoshi, i'm still contemplating if I should sell. The same applies to my DEV, GLC, and UNO. I can so picture him driving the prices up and sticking it to those who doubted him on twitterverse just to stroke his own ego. He might earn a few new followers to pandacoin. So since I've already lost so much, my hypothetical scenario is worth the risk of me hanging around for maybe another day to reevaluate. OK, so you try to come out with a smaller loss. Would you buy again into this coin ? I won't buy or mine any more. Keep in mind there is a small chance that this is ploy, albeit very miscalculated, to swoop up cheap pandas. There is also a chance some other whale, or Wolong himself disguise as another whale coming in to drive the prices up. There are many investors out there who don't read up on the coin but will invest simply based on trend. I still think what I suggest is unlikely to happen, but its worth the risky given that i don't have that much more to lose.

So what do the devs think about the price? What are the predictions for Panda?
I'm pretty sure the dev controls the price right now, this is all part of the master plan to get more market share and then driving the price up in the same fashion as doge

That is actually true. Price should settle very soon. The market cant support the price. My "uneducated" guess would be around 20-24 satoshi.
I was thinking the same with Doge ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) and after i sold my 450k@30 pump to 70 broke my heart ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) . Same was i was thinking when price was maintain @100 with Doge... then @200 olympics... now Doge is kipping stable @200+... BUT all this time i was thinking let them fall to @20 i will buyback my precious 450k again ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ... but is keeping 200+ The thing that make pirce stable is diff rising with the price ....if diff did not .. then price will drop hard .... i think there is alot of people having issue mining with vert scrypt even me ... i don't even mine panda i buy them ... my cards do not like N-scrypt What's the problem? I'm sure some of us can help

This price pattern is like an accelerated version of doge in its infancy. Hope it follows the same trend as doge. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Hello im kinda new to leaf ....
i was wondering what happen after first halving why does the prices goes down after first halving ... very strange
Welcome aboard. A couple things happened: 1. Leaf became available on Cryptsy, after the expected surge in price in the first hour or less, it came back to earth probably due to miners dumping all at once. 2. There was an issue where Multipools started mining Leafs and driving up the difficulty, only leaving as soon as the difficulty goes up, leaving us with upwards of 30+mins blocks. Mining became difficult. However, this was resolved through the implementation of the KGW. If I'm not mistaken, the difficulty now retargets every 10 blocks or less. In terms how much these event have an affect on the price, it will take somebody more knowledgeable than I am to answer. It was a shame, because I shied away from Dogecoin after this, as they are getting ready to half I think tomorrow.

Diff under 1. Are you guys still working on this dev? or should we move on?

Pretty unlucky so far with Updamoon... ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif)
So isn't there suppose to be like 10Ghz spike or something like that? the net hash is still low.
So are we really mining any more right now with more lower difficulty and higher hashrate?
Thanks for the explanation. So most people who mine Leaf in the past are multipoolers?
so 98 blocks after the quick 240. THAT'S SOONER THAN YOU THINK! and only 13 blocks until diff re-adjust... right now if we all just re-train our miners on this coin we can melt through those 13 blocks in no time, and if we stay on the 98 blocks after the 240 (don't blink) should be done in NO TIME. I'd like to mine on majorminers.co.uk as i've had good results with them, but their website isn't loading. it seems like the most active pool right now is https://leaf.updamoon.comsomeone please correct me if i'm wrong, but if you want a chance to crack one of those 240 with a pool, and then STAY ON for the next couple hours till we clear the next 98, then now is the time to do it. and then we'll ALL BE IN A GREAT POSITION TO HAMMER OUT THE NEXT 98! I'm moving all my rigs on updamoon right now, i hope that more people get the message and hop on themselves. it's SO CLOSE GUYS! let's just grin and bear it and get it done ourselves! better get in now before the difficulty reaches 500... we all know where this coin is headed. Hi there, can you please educate me. I know a lot has happened in the last week or so. There is so much to read on this thread so forgive me for not knowing the latest. But what's the 98 blocks and the 240 blocks is all about? And yeah why is difficulty so low now and is expected to spike? Thanks for the education.

So what's happening with all the Leafcoin mining? I'm on incoinswetrust and there are 4 workers left. I went all to the other pools and barely anyone is in there. And the blockchain isn't update on Cryptexplorer.com
Is something going on?

Must be a brand new site, not much action yet with any of the cryptos
