This is no longer new. The anonymous painter aka p-boy is painting the streets with his art in paris and is painting his bitcoin qr code for his wallet address allowing donations from bitcoin users. I was following how much did he made for doing such things and in the beginning he received 85$ worth of btc then later on it became 1000$ and the latest info was he have already earned 12500$ more or less worth of btc. Possibly sooner or later many artist will also follow his style since even beggars today are using qr code in begging at streets.

For now it's still pretty new... It's actually my 6th fresco with a QR code till 2 years. I can't wait to see more artists use this!

damn excellent!!! but i noticed that this 6th fresco of yours is located at the top of the building. are there many people going to that building? why did you choose to have your art on that location.
that artwork should be seen by many just like your other masterpieces! another great way of introducing bitcoin to the public. a lot of people will be convinced donating some bitcoin to you. no further questions asked! just look at the masterpiece! who knows, it might pave the way to some people to learn how to deal with bitcoin just to send satoshis to you. kudos to you pascalboyart!

Thank you ! On the street it could be better but I worked many days on it, usually my street art pieces are covered in few weeks ... Not on this one, it will long last and many people can see it throught internet . We will release a making of video soon, you'll see why I choosed this particular building .

@pascalboyart, how do you paint them, do you have a screen or some template? I don't suppose you manually draw the squares or the address.

I use a stencil.

Soon I'll post on my website a tutorial how to do your own stencil QR code.

6th #Bitcoin QR code on a Street Art fresco 🎨 in Paris.

This is a real usecase to support street artists without 3rd parties.

Haha, this is a great piece of art mate. From just looking at it for a bit, I can definitely get a feel of what it's saying to me, and I love artwork that has a lot of depth to it. Look at the people trying to scurry away from the water, with a sail of money, when they really don't understand what is good for them. Hilarious.

Where's the exact location of this?
Also, how long did this take?

Thanks for sharing mate!

Thanks,

it's located in Paris (Ivry sur Seine), on the roof of the old gold fundry of the Bank of France. It took a whole week.

This one is amazing!

You are literally climbing up now, huh.

on the roof of the old gold fundry of the Bank of France.

But on the roof of the Bank of France?! Seriously?! Are they even aware that your painting is somehow subversive? Did they happen to get a look at the design and what else you are going to paint there before they gave their nod of approval?

Quote
Could you find what's the link to Bitcoin in the painting (besides the location and the QR)?

I cannot seem to find it. Poor me. Is it the sinking boat representing perhaps the old fiat system, signified by the sail which is made up of, or designed after, fiat currency bills?  Huh

Thanks!

It's closed till decades, it was the gold fundry of Bank of France, the space is empty now.

Good! You're close to find.

This is the 6th fresco crowdfunded by the crypto community with a #Bitcoin QR code 🎨, located in Paris (Ivry sur Seine), on the roof of the old gold fundry of the Bank of France.

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.20 BTC received with QR codes on my Street Art frescoes till 2 years! on: September 19, 2019, 06:18:11 AM
Glad that the QR codes stay there and nobody tries to erase them or paint over them.
In my country there are lots of vandals, who would just draw some shit over the QR code.
Finally the QR technology can do some work.I'm gonna draw codes all over my city(and nobody will donate any bitcoins to me). Grin

Where are you from ?

Here in Paris people cover the whole piece with the qr included Grin
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.20 BTC received with QR codes on my Street Art frescoes till 2 years! on: September 18, 2019, 11:29:12 AM
Just curious. Has no one attempted to cover up the QR code to another QR code in an attempt to steal donations? Well done by the way. I think I remember the last time you've posted your art here. Has it really been 2 years? Jeebus.

Now that he has come out and said he's received $12,500 over a couple of years, he might just be asking for trouble.

That being said, it requires specialized equipment to produce QR codes that big, so it would have to be a really dedicated individual to go through the effort.

Where are the locations of your Frescos @OP? Would be nice to see them scattered throughout the world!

On the 5 murals, there's still 2. The both are very close at 63 rue Riquet Paris 75019, look on google street, you can see them on the bridge.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.20 BTC received with QR codes on my Street Art frescoes till 2 years! on: September 18, 2019, 11:26:20 AM
Good job, I think I've seen one of your drawings over the past year.
What painting brought the highest amount of donations?
I noticed in your drawings that you do not draw BTC mainly but indirectly, why not draw a BTC logo?

On my murals I think it's better to create awardess of Bitcoin indirectly by simply using it, and the total amount of donations received is the best publicity for the public.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.20 BTC received with QR codes on my Street Art frescoes till 2 years! on: September 18, 2019, 11:20:23 AM
pascalboyart, it is really very good achievement for you, and it just shows that people love good art which can be rewarded with cryptocurrency. Are there any of your works outside of France maybe?

It would be great if you can make at least one mural in every capital city of EU, maybe this can be the project worth considering? Crypto community could help in that, in a way to become a sponsor for your visit in a certain country, and you would also profit more with more murals.

Yes very good idea, my work is all about crowdfunding without 3rd party. For now it's not enough to paint in UE cities but I hope soon I'll get more funding, If a decentralized Patreon could emerge with a user friendly UI, I'll be using it for sure

I also saw your reddit post, just good mate.

I like the idea of @Kakmakr, so that you(we) can spread awareness about bitcoin to those who are not exposed yet. Also, if you could urge other artist to try this kind of art frescoes, that will be great.

Yes I would love to make it easy for street artists to add their own Bitcoin QR code to their works with a easy way to verify the address, I'll do a tutorial soon.

You are really gifted.. Have you ever thought of doing some merchandising in the form of some T-Shirts with some revolutionary depictions of Bitcoin vs Banks? I think a bunch of people walking around with your "message" would also make a real difference in Bitcoin adoption if you did that.  Wink

Art like this should be appreciated by many people all over the world and I would be proud to wear a t-shirt with a powerful Bitcoin message.  Cool

Give us more.  Wink

I'm thinking about it for sure! It's coming soon.
