An exchange is ok, but if u want fastness too, u can do it in his forum with people with a great reputation.
U can see that in "trust" in the profile.
The exchanges can take weeks to validate ur account...
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MtGox Verification on: January 31, 2014, 07:54:58 PM
So I registered with MtGox about 6 weeks ago...but the account still says: "Your account verification request has been received, and will be reviewed within the next 20 business days. (All verifications which are not in Japanese, English, or latin script will be reviewed within 20 or  more business days)  Please contact support@mtgox if you have any questions or comments."

When I try to fund the account it states that: In order to make deposits you need to have a "verified" or "trusted" account status. Please visit ...mtgox/forms/verification... to apply.

When I go to the verification page, it shows that my photo ID and proof of residence are uploaded.  Click to verify and it reads: "The account verification process has been completed. Thank you for submitting your documents for verification. You will be sent an email notification of validation or rejection after our staff have reviewed your submission."  I've done this at least 4 times now.

What am I missing here please? Is this typical? Anyone have similar experiences or advice? I've heard that MtGox can be problematic...

Yes, is normal, don't worry. Mtgox delay 9 weeks to verify my account... And I know they take more time sometimes.
For verify an account Mtgox sucks. Another sites, like Bitstamp, the verification take just a few days.
Anyway u can send tickets if u want.
Good luck.

The only good site to earn BTCs will be the first site to get 1 BTC free every day. No more. Haha.

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HAVE YOU HAD COINS STOLEN ON CRYPTSY? on: January 31, 2014, 07:04:51 PM
Not for the moment. But i have heard things like that from another people, so be careful with ur coins in cryptsy, and in another places.
Maybe can be just an error, or can be really stolen...
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Im new , is it a good time to buy ? on: January 31, 2014, 06:11:49 PM
If the price goes up, is a good time. if the price go down, is a bad time. Remenber, for the moment, the BTC is pure speculation, but just a year ago the value was 10 USD

You won't get 1 BTC from it, but I've personally earned about 0.1 BTC with the following methods:

  • Faucets and PTC sites - Funded by ads, these sites will pay you a small amount of Bitcoins for either filling a captcha or visiting a website. There are many websites for this, you can find them by either checking out this website or by simply googling.
  • Casino giveaways - Many casinos give you about 1 mBTC (0.001 BTC) for registering at their website. Do not gamble these Bitcoins away, it's better to simply withdraw it directly. Sites providing giveaways can be found here.
  • Sell signature space - Once you have enough activity, you can sell your signature space and earn Bitcoins for every post made on this forum. Personally I'm using this service to do that (and it works good, I received 0.06 BTC for doing it last month), but there are many more if you search around a bit.
  • Earn Bitcoin from traffic - By using services like CoinURL or Coin-Ads you can earn Bitcoin when people click your links. There is also BitBin, which works like PasteBin but shares it's ad revenue with the users. There is also some ad providers in case you run a website, like A-Ads, BitAds, CoinURL and Operation Fabulous.
  • Earn Bitcoin by working - There are also people paying you to do different kinds of work. I haven't personally done this so I can't talk more about it.

Yes, and u can ask bitcoins for ur work, like designer, 3d, writer...etc
