1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QIBUCK COIN - X13 - POS/POBH - 1st Proof of Baghold on: November 21, 2014, 11:24:46 PM
Personally I think it should be per wallet address. If people have multiple wallets there is no reason not to hold in one address. It is called bag holding ! Majority of people have one address.

But in any case, if people want to have multiple wallets, they can. They will still get paid but may miss out on the bag holder bonus's.

However, if it was voted on, a back end to the script could be created that would allow you to join wallet address's.

You could also add the ability to add a bitcoin address linked to each qbk address. Again that would be a back end thing that only administrators would have access too.

This is really interesting..we waiting on one important piece of news later this weekend or early in the week re Founder's gift but if all goes well things might change back to Old monthly run.. with some of your improvements..I just waiting for the news to come to us..  Smiley. Thank you for your kind work..

No problem. If you need a similar thing to help with the Dec payout let me know.

Ok. So http://www.bitcoin247.tips/ now includes minimum bag holder level.

It also shows QBK payout as well as BTC. (QBK price is obtained from polo every 6 hours)

It also has the ability to download the table as a CSV file. (Link is bottom left of screen).

Personally I think if you were to look at basing the payout based on average holdings then there is no need for a minimum amount of days to hold. You already have the minimum bag hold of 500 QBK which is the same thing. In effect this means if you had 1000 coins you would have to hold for 15 days to average over 500.  So personally I don't think there is any need for a minimum holding period.

I'm happy to upload the scripts and database to a domain you own. They are yours if you want them or I will keep them on the current domain indefinitely.

I apologise if I'm stepping on anyones toes here but you now have an option to go to a monthly payment based on average payouts. There is no excuse anymore. Personally I feel this option should be voted on by everybody who owns QBK no matter how large or small their holdings.

Qiwoman - Have a look at http://www.bitcoin247.tips/  (It is the only domain remotely relevant to altcoins I own)

It should be self explanatory.

I have a feeling that you have been calculating the bagholder bonus differently. I have added the 0.5% or 1% or 2% bonus to the total coins in each individual wallet.

Then the payout is calculated based as a percentage for the new adjusted total in the wallet.

To see how this will work in the future set the date to something like 20/10/2014. As the data only starts from the 01/10/2014 there is only 20 days of data. The average holding is reduced because the total is still divided by 31.

Still a few things to do such as add a minimum number of days before eligible for payout and the CSV export.

If you have been paying the bag holder bonus on the payout itself then that is some ninja maths that you will need to explain in full as I'm not clever enough to work that one out.

So is the calculation above correct ? Are you adding 1% to the original total coins ?

What I would then do is add up the new total of adjusted coins. Divide this into 100. Then multiply by each individual adjusted total to get your payout percentage for each address. When you add up the adjusted coins totals you do not include polonoiex.

This is what I have done anyway and it works well. I'll show you later today. But if it is not right it can be easily changed.

I'm cracking on with this but need some clarification with the payouts.  Can someone confirm how the payout is done. For instance if someone owns 12000 coins which is in the 1% Extra Bag hold Range.
When making your payout are you treating it as 12120 coins ?  (1% Extra)

If not, please clarify with a couple of examples how the payouts are calculated. Ignore the poloniex wallets etc for now. Thanks !

I do not want any payment. If you are in agreement let's just get a working example going and then let people vote on which way to go.

Qiwoman, please answer one of my earlier questions. How much money is left for development ?

Also, as a proof of concept I have just written a php script that runs at midnight every day on a cron job and puts the http://explorer.qibuck.com/over100.php data into a database. It took 49 minutes to do and I don't consider myself to be competent.

Over the next week I will write the second part of the script that will calculate the payout dependent on days in wallet, payout percentages etc. It will display the result in an HTML table and give you the option to export the data as a CSV.

As of now at least you will have a daily snapshot (automated) if you did change things in the future.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QIBUCK COIN - X13 - POS/POBH - 1st Proof of Baghold on: November 17, 2014, 09:50:42 PM
The problem with the current setup is there is no market during the bag holding period. In December this will go 2 ways. It will either hit the floor after people sell after receiving their payout or it may climb slightly. Who knows !

I'm not a founder but I hold more than enough coins to be. Qiwoman - your previous answer complaining of the matter being too time consuming is poor. Your not running this as a business.

How many bitcoins have you got left for development ?

A php script collecting data from http://explorer.qibuck.com/wealthiest.php at a random time once a day and putting it into a MySQL database would take a competent developer half an hour. Go to Freelancer and someone will probably do it within 48 hours for about £50.

Then all you need to is choose a payout date. (end of the month ?) and Semi AUTOMATE the process. Yes that may mean spending some more bitcoin and develop the coin. Get yourself a purpose built desktop/web application that checks the database for the previous month and calculates the payout based on number of coins and number of days holding etc. All you would have do is double check the monthly payout for each address and press send. Once up an running it's 1 nights work at the end of every month. This should not cost much. If a mining pool can pay out mined coins every day to all the registered users then half the code is already written.

Instead of spending money on an IRC tip bot that only a handful of people will ever care to use or see how about spending some money on developing the coin and giving people a reason to invest in this coin again.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN][SCRYPT] KlondikeCoin ★ Cryptsy.com ★ Prepaid VISA Cards ★ 0% Premine [KDC] on: April 01, 2014, 07:31:34 PM
Been a supporter from the beginning. Picking up on several things here. On the whole these are my own opinions. Not everyone will agree. But hey ho.

New to the crypto world from late last year. Watching. Mining. Learning. Trading. But as an outsider looking in I can't believe how unrealistic the expectations are of most people. The only thing that matters for the next year is survival. Let alone increasing the price. Money is pouring out of bitcoin with no end in sight. This is passing down to all the other coins. There simply isn't enough demand for all these alt coins. Until demand increases the aim of the game is simply to survive. Added to this there are new alt coins added every day that are sucking all the money away from the established coins.

I also cannot believe that developers start new coins with little to no investment. Klondike Coin is an absolutely remarkable achievement to get to where we are. Especially with no premine. In a years time - fingers crossed - you will be thankful you have these services already up and running.

Couple of things -
I'm not pushing blame on to anyone here and think theres multiple failings across the board, Devs included. Expectations were high and not met. The belief of many was for us to keep pushing more and more services out which cost us personal money, but we did it anyway. Unfortunately those changes made zero diffrerence and people just moved onto asking for another thing, another change etc. My advice to the community leaders is we need to stand still briefly on the development front and start focusing on the marketing! AS it makes no difference what services are released if no one cares or uses them. (For example the gamecodes site has had a total of 2 orders since being put live). That advice wasn't well received.

Jilixi, Spark It, Doge and Placebo: Thank you for all the hard work you put in. I know you dedicated a lot of time trying to make this coin bigger. It's a shame it ended the way it did.

Firstly - Jilixi. Amazing work on the website. From everyone who holds Klondike Coins. Thank you. I've just read your previous post. I'm sure someone will take the site off you.
Secondly - Game codes is a niche market inside a niche market. Not only have you got to be interested in niche games you have to pay with niche vouchers. Until Alt coins become main stream I doubt you will get any more orders. BUT you still need that service in my opinion.

The exchange is fully functional but not quite complete in looks, deposits, withdrawals, trades etc all work. We just have major security concerns in light of all of the exchanges that have popped up and been wiped out over the last few months. This is delaying the release.

I think you already know this. This HAS to be your priority.
An exchange that uses a mixture of Bitcoin and Klondike Coin to pair up with would be amazing. Instead of the daily influx of new coins sucking the money away from Klondike Coin it can be pumped back in to Klondike Coin. Every time a new coin is created you add a Klondike pair to it. After a few days you then add a bitcoin pair. This forces people to buy Klondike Coin. For the first time Klondike Coin has a purpose.  You use the 0.5% transaction fees to buy back your Klondike and pay yourself some wages.
You say you are worried about security. So run the site in beta for 2 months with funny money. No REAL money.

Do it properly. Create a UK Ltd Company with 1000 shares. Offer bounties to anyone who is able to hack your exchange. Doesn't need to be money. 10 Shares will do it. Anyone who finds a security issue that would have lost you money give them 10 shares in your exchange. Of course you could just go down the money route and miss out the shares.

ONLY when the site is secure and has been secure for several weeks then open the gates to real money. Take as much annual leave as you can from your day job and work round the clock on the exchange. Learn from the other exchanges. There will be issues. Its all about honest communication.

Right -I have a windows plesk cloud server that you are FREE to use. If there is a spike in usage I simply purchase more memory or another CPU for £5 a month. It's nothing. You are also free to use a bog standard shared server I use at site5. If you need other resources let me know and I might be able to assist.

I hope the community begins to work everything out. People need to start thinking long term instead of short term.
