1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when bitcoin becomes stable? on: November 12, 2018, 04:26:14 PM
I have discussions about the crypto industry with a wide range of players.
We disagree on almost everything.
However, everyone in my network agrees on a few core assumptions.
1. Bitcoin only has one more big bull run before it reaches a lasting plateau in value.
2. The bull run will be caused by a major event. (Not just an organic increase in demand or adoption rate.)
3. Stability of the price of Bitcoin will eliminate the majority of scammers because they use volatility as a selling point for their fake money making schemes.

A better question to ask is, "What should I be doing right now to prepare for the next (and possibly final) Bitcoin bull run?

The majority of these ICO bounties are now KYC scams.
They sell your ID photos and info on the Dark web.
Initiative Q is a great example of an obvious scam.
But it's free to join, so a lot of suckers are falling for it.

This would have been a great idea last year at this time.
Unfortunately, the ICO era is already dead.
These new "projects" are a complete joke.
All of the real projects are seeking private venture funding.
4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what are the things to consider when looking for a good exchange? on: November 06, 2018, 06:32:23 PM
As a crypto software developer, I look at everything from the user perspective.

1. The user needs to be in complete control of funds. Once the coins are on the exchange, it's too late to try to secure them.

2. The user needs a frictionless  transaction experience. People are tired of multi-step verification.

3. The user needs a way to share in the profits. There are enough fees being generated to spread the revenue fairly.

The idea of creating another big, dinosaur website like Binance or Coinbase is dead.
Creating a global network of accountless, cross-platform exchanges is the new business model.
Here is an example of what I'm working on. http://demo.instantcrypto.exchange
