If you're okay with wasting away 1 week of your life "promoting" for someone with no pay, then so be it. Thats your choice.

Imagine this scenario:
You are in a campaign that pays you $50
Then you see this one that pays you $200
And you join here and then after a week of drama you find out that the $200 were never there to begin with.
That has been the case with untrusted campaign managers running a campaign with no escrow -
almost always.
If you are happy with that status quo, then that's on you. You won't get to say later on that the warning signs weren't loud and clear.
