If any of you ever wonder what we are working towards, it's this: to make the lives of ordinary people better. I just had my credit card number stolen and had to call the card company to get the current card cancelled and to get a new number. Now I don't have a credit card for a week or two and I will probably get fined by the phone company when they have trouble billing me If NEM were the default currency of the world, the scammers would have only had my public key. Every time you use a credit card, it is the same as sharing your private key with someone. It's an insane system. Let's hope NEM can help create a new world economy that isn't based on madness. By the same token, you better not let your NEM wallet stolen, lest you will also be crippled terribly and indefinitely. Edit: BTW, 2 weeks is a long long time when it should be one or two days for replacement. Is it that inefficient in Japan? That calls for a rule-based NEMcard solution with NFC. NEMPay! Do you think the NEM wallet can be interfaced with a fingerprint sensor to unlock our account? https://technology.ihs.com/512273/fingerprint-sensors-handsets-tablets-report-2014Yes. it is not hard if fingerprint is an available option in the device. Cool. Thanks

Hi NEM community, i quietly follow cryptos for a while and i feel NEM has a high potential to become something big. I guess beside getting a high marketcap it should be our goal to attract more people to NEM. Therefore i prepared a draft of a "bitcoin-paper-wallet" like NEM voucher. As we have no logo yet it is just a first draft and i will finalize it later. I am going to print such vouchers, preload them with ~100NEM and bring them into public. I will give them to friends, "forget" them in favorite restaurants, pin them to a black board, give them to people that have nothing to do with cryptos at all etc. Maybe i will add a "valid until" date an reclaim back all NEM that have not been redeemed within a year or so to be sure that no NEM will be lost in space. If every stakeholder releases just 10 of this vouchers we can easily reach ~30000 additional people and bring them into NEM. https://www.dropbox.com/s/t59yx73tyw4pgav/NEM_Voucher1.jpghttps://www.dropbox.com/s/noeultctxi384ig/Printed.jpgI would like to know if there will be an "import private key" function in the NEM community client and how to create a NEM address key pair for the voucher? Is the proposal for a NEM from the initial development plan still valid and will we use "standard base32" encoded addresses? Maybe the devs can help me with my questions? Thank you all for your hard work in NEM! Nice. A wallet that has a built-in QR code generator/reader would be a good feature.

I heard that Dgex.com will add this coin. There are currently some promising coins and graviton want to add this shitcoin? Congratulation dear shareholders. This is the beginning oft the end of Dgex.
I'm still holding my shares. This is the beginning of DGEX. Adding any new coin will help the site traffic, trading volume and ultimately increase market share of the exchange.

I dont see anything related to NEM, not even a word on the watch. Did you get some picture from somewhere? It's for inspiration. A future project. The pic is from the appleinsider article.

Are there any app programmers out there that can make a simple NEM wallet for a smartwatch? I will help add to the development bounty if this ever becomes a project. Here is a teardown of Samsung's new Gear 2 smartwatch www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung+Gear+2+Teardown/23990 Some neat features include immersion up to 1 meter of water, 2MP camera, heartrate monitor and IR TV remote.

NEM, the first cryptocurrency sent using a smartwatch. A future headline? I just read that Google has come out with Android Wear, a Android operating system for smartwatches. Smartphones, smartwatches and smart wearables are the future. The wallet can be unlocked with its internal password safe or with facial recognition (PCA, Eigenface, neural net) or with a NFC ring. The camera will read the NEM address from a QR code and the amount can be entered through its touchscreen keyboard (10-key, minuum.com etc... ). Is it difficult to get a basic NEM wallet running on a smartwatch? LOL who owns a smartwatch?! Currently, not that many. It will grow with time.
