3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market in depression on: December 11, 2018, 10:49:18 PM
The crypto market is on a rapid downward spiral and almost all coins including so called good coins are down in prices. Is there any chances the market will recover? In my opinion, it takes the end of the year 2018 to recover the market. What are your views?
It is in depression. But will it recover?

I am sure it will. It's a perfect time to buy cheap coins/tokens. I bought some CAT, MTK, MGO, Dogecoin and some more.  Grin
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If an ICO team is anonymous, is it a scam? on: December 11, 2018, 08:30:57 PM
When deciphering between legit and scam ICO's, one of the main things everyone says is "you have a look at the team and see if they're transparent."

The thing is, the whole ideology behind decentralization is that it gives the public control over the economy's trajectory, rather than centralized and specific entities.

I see the Virternity Project, for example (https://virternity.com/), which prefers anonymity, but I'm not sure it means it's a scam ICO.

from their FAQ:

"Why aren't you revealing who is in your team?"

"The members of our team are enthusiastic about the idea of creating the Virternity space for the whole world. We want to avoid “buy-outs” of our specialists and co-workers, and also avoid pressure on them.

Also, given the limited financing at the initial stage, we are using anonymity as a shield for our technological secrets—the specifics of our current and future developments.

Many members of our team have serious jobs in major firms and do not want to advertise their participation in a non-commercial project, in order to avoid conflicts of interest.

In the future, once these factors are less of an issue, we plan to publicly name the founders and key personnel."

Satoshi remains anonymous..

Thoughts?

I think it's not safe to invest in a project where the team is anonymous
5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you think that crypto exchanges are dead? on: December 11, 2018, 08:27:35 PM
Is cryptocurrency dead? As long as cryptocurrencies exist, there will always be platforms to exchange/trade crypto. If you’re referring to start-ups exchanges, they may be facing serious challenges which maybe threatening to their existence. One of the problems the cryptospace is facing is copy and paste and repetition of projects with different names, innovation and creativity is fading out in the space.

Let us compare the older cryptocurrency exchange platforms like (Coinbase, Bitfinex, Bitmex, Kraken, Gemini, Poloniex, Bittrex, Gate.io, and Huobi) to the new ones like (Bitforex, Indodax, Coinbe , Hotbit , DigiFinex). Why are the new crypto exchange platforms struggling to hit the lime light?. Binance is about a year old and has made much impact in the cryptospace, why can’t other cryptocurrency exchange start-ups follow suit?

1. Lack of funds
2. The market has already been saturated
3. No original ideas

The big exchange platforms are gaining more grounds everywhere, this making the space more competitive. Nevertheless, some start-ups are really making much sense and are impacting immensely to the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. For any startup to pave through the crowd, it's idea and technology must be very solid.

One of the start-ups to look out for is BLOCKCHAIN BOARD OF DERIVATIVES, the platform combines both centralized and decentralized features of Blockchain to stay aloof the crowd in the space. This is a all-in-one trading platform, that is going to be welcomed when it is launched.

At BBOD users control the destiny of their own funds. BBOD runs a non-custodial smart contract wallet system where all account balances are held by a decentralised smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain. Centralised entities are too often hacked, BBOD adopts hybrid approach to decentralised safety combined with a centralised trading engine ensures the security of your funds whilst maintaining blazing fast transactions speeds, thereby giving the platform an edge over other exchange start-ups.

This is not the only Crypto exchange that is making impact, there are several others who make making the revolution worthwhile, so Crypto exchanges are far from dead.

Makes no sense many sell/buy their tokens by using different exchanges. MGO, ETH, BTC and others.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CRYPTOCURRENCY TO INVEST IN on: December 11, 2018, 07:27:56 PM
What would you suggest a newbie regarding this matter tho?
I don't think it's a good idea to invest these days. The market is really unstable and fraudulent.
What should I do then lol?
It's always up to mate! As for me, I'm paying more attention to bounties these days.
What are the reasons caused you to do so? Is that really worth it instead of simply investing nowadays?
Use your head!  Grin
Speaking about bounties. Any good you joined lately?
Stellar, MGO in December.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holding BTC at this satge is a bad idea? on: December 11, 2018, 05:41:16 PM
BTC is showing weakness and loosing ground day by day I think it is the time for the investors to book profit who are on profit and minimize losses who already suffered a big loss. Can anybody enlighten me on this issue now?
Maybe you are right mate. As for me I sold BTC and bought some IOTA, MGO, ETH and a few more. Must confess it was worth it. However the time will tell.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bill Gate against investing into bitcoin? on: December 11, 2018, 05:35:07 PM
I recently read through the comments made by Bill Gate on bitcoin and other related cryptocurrencies (https://www.[Suspicious link removed]s/www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/microsoft-founder-bill-gates-would-bet-against-bitcoin/). From the comments he made, it is obvious that, Bill Gate is against investing into cryptocurrency. Critically appraising and analyzing how helpful bitcoin and other cryptocurrency are and base on the comments Bill Gate made, I don't see the reason why he is against cryptocurrency. Probably he might be having his own reasons of which I am not aware of. Can someone help as to why Bill Gate spoke against bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?

Lol! How do u know, maybe he has btc, eth, cat, mgo, xrp and many others. And he just doesn't say this. Hahaha Then, he'll become even more a billionaire while u will not  Grin
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Going To Zero? on: December 11, 2018, 05:20:06 PM
Here's a hilarious article from Forbes with same tittle: Is Bitcoin Going To Zero? What makes it particularly hilarious is the author's striking inability to understand that to make a consistent and coherent argument he has to tie up loose ends in his logic and reasoning

At first, he claims that Bitcoin is effectively dead as it has no value because it "doesn't produce any products or services". And then, all of a sudden, he proceeds to assert that Bitcoin's characteristics such as "a store of value that easily crosses borders around the globe" and "the comfort of anonymity it can provide" have only persisted because governments have largely allowed cryptocurrencies to exist

Am I the only one who feels like the author makes mutually exclusive claims in this piece of shit? If Bitcoin is in fact as dead as a doornail, it can't possibly possess all these benefits and advantages he mentions, and so no government intervention is actually required to get away with it. But if, nevertheless, the government intervention is still required to get done with Bitcoin, it doesn't look like being dead at all, right?

In short, haters gonna hate. Bitcoin is money but money itself doesn't produce any products or services on its own. Does that take anything from its value as long as it is not fiat hyperinflated (when it basically stops being money)? Essentially, as money Bitcoin produces transactional utility upon which things like a store of value or "comfort of anonymity" are built. Thus, this argument doesn't hold even when taken separately, on its own "merits"
Everything is possible. However there are tokens/coins which act differently when the market is falling. MGO, IOTA and a few others experienced a good leap when the market was falling.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN][SELFDROP]-[AIRDROP] GoGoPay | [GoPay] Which Will Change The World🔥 on: December 10, 2018, 09:57:27 PM
Speaking about gaming, Xsolla x MobileGo made an ultimate token and now an airdrop started. 3 days left, can I send the link?

I'll do this for you https://airdrop.mobilego.io/

This is really the first airdrop I joined and it turned out great, free tokens are always nice but MGOs are growing extremely well all the month long.

I know it is a nice coin, but it's a really wrong topic for it, mate Cheesy
yup! It's a good project. No arguing here. It was the 66th on Coinmarketcap.

Are you serious? it's hard to compare these two coins..mobilego is a game platform. Gamers always playing, even it's a bear market.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] 👾 [GAME] 👹 World of Ether - 🚀 BETA IS LIVE 🚀 on: December 10, 2018, 09:17:59 PM
how do you plan to advertise the project? many similar game projects at the very beginning needed to be promoted.
in the end, only the cryptocats managed to advance. all the rest remained on paper and with a small number of enthusiasts.

The game is expected to spread virally  Wink
I think if they work together with MobileGo they can spread even more virally. I believe these two projects could really work together.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: MobileGO (MGO) is a smart token set to herald a new era in the gaming industry on: December 10, 2018, 08:28:14 PM
Well, let's try once again Smiley
That topic was mentioned by the admins in telegram chat, so it's truly legit

Yes this is the new legit thread 😉

still don't get it: are you a team member? you're so active and helpful so i think you're more than just enthusiast

It's good when a community has good supporters. The success of a project also depends on the supporters in crypto.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Poolsar - decentralized service for pool administrators on: September 17, 2018, 08:38:32 PM
Will you have your own platform or you are gonna have a partnership with major projects to implement your service on their website?

Hi! We're ready for different scenarios. Our main goal is to build a good project first of all. We're always open to new partnerships.  Smiley
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Poolsar - decentralized service for pool administrators on: September 11, 2018, 01:10:52 PM
Sounds interesting. Have you already got a working product?

https://ropsten.poolsar.io - Testnet
https://dapp.poolsar.io - Mainnet

You can use Mainnet if you'd like to deal with the real ETH.
