7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Block 2600 ETA 19:00 EST on: March 09, 2014, 03:23:32 PM
While I agree that 2600 blocks was way too long (should have been maybe 1440 blocks = 24 hours or even 720 blocks = 12 hours or 360 blocks = 6 hours), I like this coin release method.

At any rate, the current estimate on hitting block 2600 is roughly:
Monday 5:07AM GMT
Monday 1:07AM East Coast US
Sunday 10:07PM West Coast US

That can (and will) change as the hash power goes up and down and the block solve time goes up and down.  But it gives you a rough idea of time.

...queue up the UK complaints... Wink

LOL

thats why we use CGwacther Smiley

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Block 2600 ETA 19:00 EST on: March 09, 2014, 02:57:00 PM
so is there any point mining this until Block 2600?

seems waste of hash right now

These last few days have been the worst we've had.. Some of the multi-pools out there are settling for the 0.008btc/mhash rates the current market is giving.. I don't feel that is an acceptable number. I'm trying to squeeze what I can out of this market to increase that number, but it backfired over the last few days. Risk vs reward. For many of you that's a few pennies difference, for some that's a few dollars. I apologize for anyone who lost significant money due to this over the last few days, but I don't apologize for trying to get the most bang for the buck Wink

I constantly re-evaluate what we're mining and what profits they return, and constantly evolve our algorithm and coin list to match the markets. If you feel that what we provide isn't what you want, then by all means, go mine elsewhere.. everyone has to do what is best for them.. but I assure you I'm not satisfied with the status quo and will do everything in my powers to improve the profit numbers.

were with you merc Smiley
