1  Other / Meta / Ban appeal! on: September 18, 2018, 05:45:53 AM
Good day, yesterday (17-09-18) a user in this forum,  kekenapep, was banned on the grounds of plagiarism.
I would like to appeal this ban, as I communicated with the user on another platform and he confirmed that it was not intentional, in his bid to make quality posts he was reading to gain knowledge and so his post had some similarities with an article online.
In fact one of his earlier quality posts had already been merited. And it was quite disheartening. And if he is pardoned, such would not happen again.

Also I tried to argue his case through an account, thintaddy, and also received a ban for protesting. Maybe I wasn't supposed to argue, now am appealing. And I would appreciate if the moderators can review this case.

P. S, the user kekenapep also received a red trust in addition to the ban, cause his post had similarities with another. I would also appreciate if this can be reviewed.
Thank you.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Dynamics on: September 17, 2018, 07:49:14 AM
This are very helpful tips, for noobs and also experts alike.
Cryptocurrency has possibilities and risks, and traders should always invest what they can afford to lose.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market is down. on: September 12, 2018, 06:03:22 AM
In comparison to last year, the value of bitcoin is quite low, and this affects all other digital currencies.
The last quarter of the year is the time we mostly witness rise in the market, but this year has been deep in red, we can only hope we see some quality growth.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: start trading on: September 10, 2018, 05:50:58 AM
hello i want to start trading is better bittrex or binance ?
what type of documents they ask ?

They are both good centralized exchanges. You need a valid identification, international passport, national 🆔, drivers license.
Binance allows a minimum daily withdrawal without verification.

i think i will trade like 1000-2000$ every few days
i want to buy 1000 usdt$ of BTC when price go low , and sell for 1050 usdt$ when go up is this possible ?

The market is unpredictable and you can expect such drops and pumps in a week, or regularly.
You can try arbitrage trading, this means you would have to use various exchanges.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Everyone loses money when the market is down right? on: September 10, 2018, 05:41:36 AM
That's not exactly true, there are ways to make profits in a bearish trend.
Arbitrage trading is a strategy that works in any market.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many new Exchanges on: September 10, 2018, 05:02:42 AM
You don't have to trade on the new exchanges, but if there's project picked it as the only listing. Then it's probably a good exchange.
Healthy competition is always welcome.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to overcome my fear and how to start trading? on: September 03, 2018, 07:12:32 AM
Hi I am just new in the trading, I just want to ask how to overcome my fear in trading and what should I do to start trading. I also want to trade with a short term cause I need to earn daily for my daily needs can someone help me and give some that I used to start my trading now.

The best way to overcome fear and anxiety is practise. Try demo trading to get a hang of it.
Then when you feel you have sharpened your skills enough, you can now go live, bht start small, risk little capital, and only increase when you're registering consistent gains.

And there must be losses. Even the pros lose at trading, just try as much as possible to minimize your losses.

Short-term is the only form of trading, long-term is called investing.
8  Other / Meta / Re: Reason for delete? on: September 03, 2018, 06:58:03 AM

If you only post a link without any comment or explanation, then spam busters will mark your post as a link spam. Next time, try to provide more substantial value, not just a link or a short comment.

I didn't post any link, the user I commended posted the quite helpful link.
And where is it stated that one must make a long, drawn out comment?
Or do you just make up rules?
9  Other / Meta / Re: Reason for delete? on: September 03, 2018, 06:34:37 AM
It'd be nice if you showed what got deleted.

It was a post of me commending someone who posted a quite helpful video (his contribution seemed to go unnoticed). I wasn't aware that was against the rules. The second was an interaction under a post. And I merely stated my opinion.

The admins are paid for the service they render, so doing it properly is not a bad idea. Even if it means more work.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not respond to FUD threads! on: September 03, 2018, 06:16:20 AM
It's mostly not FUD, it might be users who are trying to boost their post count.
I don't count baseless assumptions as FUD, real FUD however can drive me to make a decision, so as to get the best possible outcome from how the market would react.
11  Other / Meta / Reason for delete? on: September 03, 2018, 06:04:04 AM
I recently had two of my post deleted by a forum moderator, and I've been pondering on what grounds he/she might have done that.

I think now, the reason for deleting a post should come along with the notification.
And the user should be made aware of the rules he/she is supposedly breaking.

And admins, if possible could flag a post and message the user to delete it himself. Not this anonymous process, where you have no idea which moderator deleted your post.
12  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies, Bounties & spam. on: September 03, 2018, 05:55:43 AM
So is it not a possibility that in future we could have new bounties initially posted here as per usual in the ANN section, then any 'work' i.e. reporting of what the member done that week and contact details posted, social media links, telegram names etc etc, hosted somewhere else on a sister website a Bountybtctalk for example? Would this not rid the forum of a good chunk of piss poor posts?
Why ban all three? Multiple accounts is not exactly against the rules, although it's frowned upon.
Only the account caught should be banned, IMO have posting requirements if the stuff that is posted is utter crap?

Why would the debate want their product advertised to strictly bounty hunters?
This forum presents it to real potential investors.
Although some hunters contribute to ICOs, it's just a mere handful.

And the idea that only newbies post crap, is absolutely wrong, it's the higher majority but some high ranking members also display limited knowledge on cryptocurrency.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will other coins beat bitcoin in the future? on: September 03, 2018, 05:45:35 AM
In what terms,
Market value?
Trading volume?
Usability?
Cryptocurrencies has wide applications, and while bitcoin is no one, in terms of market cap, other coins are ahead of it in some other aspects.
14  Other / Archival / Re: Ethereum Will the Next Bitcoin? on: September 02, 2018, 11:25:23 AM
It is indeed possible for Ethereum, or any other alternative currency to replace bitcoin, as new innovations and potential are unlocked.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using ETH for? on: September 02, 2018, 11:13:02 AM
I use it to buy ICOs, and for long term Hodl.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The difference between science and religion on: September 01, 2018, 08:26:35 PM
Religion and science are actually very related, and have gone hand in hand for several decades, up till the concept of creation and the source.

Both comprises of zealots, who are totally opposed to the other.

Although one is based on faith, and the other faith in facts
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: the ways comment in this forum for beginner on: August 31, 2018, 12:09:28 PM

2. If the discussion is very long almost half tread or one tread, don't comment with the quote, because later it will look like spam. Better with replay.

As you can see, It is also possible to select the part of a comment you wish to quote.
18  Other / Meta / Re: License for bounty managers on: August 31, 2018, 11:58:37 AM
I believe forum moderators check the posts.
And bounty managers can't delete a post, even if the user is wearing their signature. They can only report it, like any other user.
And who do you propose handles the screening, and on what criteria?
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you start trading? on: August 31, 2018, 11:51:34 AM
Learning, more learning, demo trading, more learning.
Select a strategy that works for you, sharpen your skills. Practice with it. Never go into live trading until you register a high success rate on Demo.
Start small, (little capital), more practice.

And then learning, practicing, repeating.
20  Other / Meta / Re: Copper membership on: August 31, 2018, 11:42:53 AM
Does copper membership only allow users to post pictures. If so, why do members at higher ranks use it?
Or maybe they used it at a lower rank initially?
