1  Economy / Reputation / Re: A red trust for absolutely nothing on: September 23, 2018, 12:28:34 PM
People who say they are leaving a forum never seem to go, they seem to hang on hoping that they will be noticed.

Those who actually leave just go, and they usually shut the door quietly.

What's the purpose of staying in a forum where everything you do is wrong
You make a post;you are begging for merits
You clear your spam posts; any one without a spam post is looking for merits
You make a post:you get a red trust
You complain;everyone keeps going round in circles never accepting a high ranked member was wrong..
It's obvious the forum is for those who've ranked up
And there is no chance in hell a newbie will make it that far

I rest my case...
It's impossible to win you guys, you've been here longer..
I'm leaving this forum for good
  Goodluck!!!
3  Economy / Reputation / Re: A red trust for absolutely nothing on: September 23, 2018, 12:02:54 PM

Of course you do,i really wonder who exactly is killing the forum

It's pretty obvious to all except the spambies. At the moment the forum is on life support, and many of us are trying to ensure that it isn't turned off. It isn't helped by the fact that so many spambies are depriving the boards of oxygen.
This your post is unhelpful and pointless as my thread I guess...
To be fair you also need a red trust since that's how things work in here
4  Economy / Reputation / Re: A red trust for absolutely nothing on: September 23, 2018, 11:55:27 AM

I guess you all can have the forum to yourselfs

Oh how I wish that we could. Smiley
Sure you do...
So much for a decentralized system
Where high ranked members are always right
 So so nice

That thread was a garbage topic in a thread that's been flooded with garbage topics by noobs who may as well be stating the weather conditions.  I'm tired of it, and apparently Vod was too--enough so that he gave you a neg.  I applaud him for doing that and I hope he continues to do so.

did I ever include I wanted a merit in the post
You didn't have to.  Posting a poorly-written thread in Meta regurgitating facts that no one cares to read is the equivalent of begging for merits.
I guess you all can have the forum to yourselfs
  So injustice filled
7  Economy / Reputation / Re: A red trust for absolutely nothing on: September 23, 2018, 09:34:00 AM

So for a second forget about defending a fellow High ranked member and tell me what the red trust is for on that thread..
Absolutely no plagiarism,no abusive words,he gave the red trust simply because I said if he doesnt like a thread he should ignore it
I think rules in here need to be changed.
So I cannot make a post without been tagged a merit beggar huh

Before the 1 merit requirements for newbies we had the occasional newbie wander into Meta.

Now the first two or three pages are filled with newbies making posts with the sole intent of getting merit.

Surely regurgitating statistics that are better displayed on the statistics pages is not of any value to anyone.

I would question whether it isn't plagiarism. It is clearly some copy and pasting from sources that you haven't referenced.
Please can you help us with facts of copy and paste..
So it's no longer for merit begging but plagiarism..
  Wow,so innovative
8  Economy / Reputation / Re: A red trust for absolutely nothing on: September 23, 2018, 09:26:48 AM
I think someone doesn't know the purpose of red trust, since the merits system could be reconsidered,i think arbitrary red trust should also fall under the radar...
Red trust specifically designed to warn and dissuade individuals from trading with supposedly scammers..
And I get one for making a post, and you say it's unmoderated, wow very interesting, this is an open forum and I think since the new merits system the newbies have always been picked on
"begging for merit" was the source of my red trust, where did i state in my post that vod should offer me one
9  Economy / Reputation / Re: A red trust for absolutely nothing on: September 23, 2018, 09:20:40 AM
So for a second forget about defending a fellow High ranked member and tell me what the red trust is for on that thread..

At no point did I defend Vod, who is more than capable of defending himself. I simply pointed out that your complaint against unmoderated trust is a moot point because the trust system was purposefully designed to be unmoderated. Whether or not I agree with Vod's rating on you is irrelevant.
I'll love to see him come into this thread and state his biased reason for giving me a red trust..
This is a vendetta against lower ranked members and it's unacceptable
10  Economy / Reputation / Re: A red trust for absolutely nothing on: September 23, 2018, 09:11:12 AM
So anyone can just give out a red trust arbitrarily or at his or her own discretion...wow

You say that like it's a flaw. That's the entire purpose of the trust system - unmoderated, and at the users' discretion. That's why most DTs have a trust page filled with retaliatory feedback from raging scammers.
So for a second forget about defending a fellow High ranked member and tell me what the red trust is for on that thread..

Yeah, trust ain't moderated.

But, do you think the thread you created is in anyway contributing? No.

There is nothing to research, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats

It's just another spam topic and posting it on Meta makes it look like you're doing it to get merits and not once.

You also did post this topic first on Meta, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5034404.msg45979866

What's the purpose of creating multiple threads when you don't have anything new to add? It's just spamming and doing it on Meta is merit spam.
Very funny reasons indeed...
That's your own discretion, your belief except of course you're a soothsayer, did I ever include I wanted a merit in the post, most times the way you all leap to the defense of the high ranked members is sickening....
Newbies are always wrong, while you guys are always right....wow,very interesting
12  Economy / Reputation / Re: A red trust for absolutely nothing on: September 23, 2018, 08:56:43 AM
1) This should be in reputation - not meta

2) Trust is un-moderated.  The only one that can remove it is the person who placed it.

3) If he is annoyed with your posting habits then posting these complaint threads are going to be useless.
So anyone can just give out a red trust arbitrarily or at his or her own discretion...wow
13  Other / Meta / Re: One merited post>15 shit post on: September 23, 2018, 08:34:15 AM
For project devs, the quality of posts is not really important. Their main focus is to circulate their project name, token name, symbol etc. to maximum people possible. And for that the more posts carrying their signatures the better. So in that respect 1 merited post is certainly not greater than 15 spam posts. But yes, if you talk about click rates, then maybe merited posts have higher click rates than spam posts.

The better solution is to allow only those members to participate in bounties who have a earned a certain amount of merits. I am seeing more and more bounty managers adding that requirement which has obviously reduced spam by Bitcoin bounty participants. The major spam comes from altcoin bounties. So if the bounty managers in that section also add this requirement to their bounties, then I am sure spam won't remain an issue on BTT.

**I'm not sure why are you suggesting this requirement. You yourself haven't got any merits till now!!
To get one
  What do you think

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5035789.0
Please I'll like the moderators to go through this thread and tell me if it deserves a red trust
Any post made my newbies is tagged as merit begging,i only made researches and put down my observations as it could be helpful for newcomers in here
And I get a red trust...
Please let us be fair
15  Other / Meta / Re: Will the Quality Post Really Get Merit? on: September 22, 2018, 10:57:12 PM
Now look at it from this angle, its not possible to be born today and start walking the same day, that was what was going on in this forum prior to this new merits system
I don't think 1 merit is too much to get,it may take time, but when you've made 5 to 6 helpful posts it'll definitely come..
It's not really about starting new threads that have been discussed over and over again, you can earn merits with insightful replies to already existing threads.
And please try clearing spam posts, hardly will anyone give you merits when your history is filled with bounty shit.
  Good luck..
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / HODL on: September 22, 2018, 06:01:54 PM
It's very popular to see people selling off their Altcoins with such reckless abandon you begin to wonder if the word hodl ever comes to their mind, come to think of it,how much was bitcoin 8 years back, compare it to the price today, the gulf in price is astronomical..
Most bounty hunters sell as soon as it hits their wallet,i think the hodl approach should be adopted even the more, you never know what the price of the Altcoin you're calling shit might be in few years time..
This to me is a perfect trading strategy, hodl your alts and don't be in a haste to sell off
17  Other / Politics & Society / Election on: September 22, 2018, 05:45:42 PM
It's disheartening to discover how deep political apathy has eaten deep into our system,i do not know the reason why this is so,probably corruption or political officers ineptitudes and outright abuse of power..
But whatever the reason I think we should always uphold our rights of franchise,in my country less than half of the population eligible to vote actually do turn up at polling booths..
I think when society realises that elections are a way to change society and clamour for change only then will we actually move forward
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What a newbie can do to popularize bitcoin? on: September 22, 2018, 05:19:23 PM
I would be dishonest if I said my intention was to promote the forum at the beginning,i joined this forum simply to earn, but to earn now you need merits..
In my local community cryptocurrency is viewed with indifference as people consider it a sort of scam, but I'll love to acquire enough knowledge at least to be able to explain to the lay people out there on the importance of joining the crypto community, not just to learn but also to earn..
I've come to understand that earning comes at the last, you can't be born today, start crawling, walking, earning that same day, it simply doesn't happen..
So my mission now is to learn, share golden knowledge acquired and earn at the end.
19  Other / Meta / Re: Most annoying word of forum on: September 22, 2018, 04:42:08 PM
My "friends" account got blocked for no reason..
It's actually one of your spam accounts😂
20  Other / Meta / Re: MY VIEW ON THE ADVANTAGES OF MERIT TO THE FORUM. on: September 22, 2018, 12:53:41 PM
Try googling about cryptocurrency in general..
Learn about the forum and forget about bounties, google topics such as
 Bitcoin Pizza Day
Cyprus
The bubble
Follow coins on the coinsmarketcap
If you keep studying about all this and a lot more, you will come to love and appreciate the forum, not just the merits system
