1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (JWL) JEWELS 🔷 MMORPG 🔷 ICO LIVE 🔷 8 DAYS LEFT 🔷TRUSTED DEV 🔷 40 BTC RAISED 🔷 on: August 25, 2016, 04:08:48 AM
People seem to enjoy the content updates. Here's a preview of a new premium weapon skin that will be added to Apex later tonight.

The weapon skin will be able to be applied to both blades and swords using premium currency. Heroes will obtain these looks at a later date and will be purchased using jewels. They have no effect on your characters strength but they sure make you look 'pretty' Smiley

This looks pretty awesome nice job Chris. How big do you expect your team to be in terms of asset artists when you're starting development on Rebirth?

Are investors going to be able to claim a cool looking item like that in Heroes? I think that would be awesome if possible Cheesy maybe 1 color for ICO investors and another color sold in Jewels shop for Heroes when added? Grin Grin

i would like this , but probably would just sell my item to another player because i dont have time to play with work. that is small reward for ico investors , i am sure item will be rare if there are many players and few investors.

I don't see this as a very sensible idea since I don't think many investors would take advantage of it (people are lazy). What I would like to see as a plus maybe is maybe a small credit to the Jewels shop for some free in-game content/skins. That way the devs don't need to waste time developing something specifically for us but if we decide to spend time and play Heroes we can at least have a few items while doing so. I'm sure most of us work full time jobs at least I do so we won't have the time to farm out strong characters, but at least we can look cool? Tongue

Not gonna lie.  it looks quite badass. Smiley

Looking forward to you reaching the community about your project!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPK] Sparkle - Proof of Work meets BitShares on: December 05, 2014, 12:40:02 PM
PSA: Looks like alpha.5 is out as a new test run.

Bumping this.  Very interesting...20 second block times?  That is almost as fast as full DPOS chains' 5 second tx times...

Let's see if it can scale to Visa Level transaction volumes like BitShares can.  If so, it is a real competitor.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RPCD] Rand Paul Coin (Deflationary) on: November 06, 2014, 12:12:28 PM
Ron Paul Coin was enough guys, shall we put out a coin for each member of Dr. Paul's family ? This is getting a bit too much.

I am sorry you feel that way.  Looking forward to building a large community to support and fund Rand Paul's Campaign.  I just hope we can give him a reason to lean farther toward his roots than toward the gravity sync that is the GOP.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RPCD] Rand Paul Coin (Deflationary) on: November 05, 2014, 09:09:41 PM
good luck to you

<3 sorry if that came across too harsh.  When i saw this shit i almost wet my pants.  So my interest is obviously in a different area than most because watching Ron Paul held out of the office that the PEOPLE wanted him to have, well it just was probably the saddest day I've had in the past 10 years.

Whoever you are Rand Paul Coin people...please keep true to this coin.  Lifeforcepools could be right if you fuck this up.  If so, i'll have a new saddest moment.. :/

But if you do this right, you have used the greatest crypto innovation ever to get the entire cryptocurrency market a Presidential Guardian!  omg omg omg...I have to leave this damn forum for a bit cause i'm starting to get a bit crazy thinking of hte possibilities.

to not allow mining flies int eh face of libertarian principles.

2.5 Money and Financial Markets

We favor free-market banking, with unrestricted competition among banks and depository institutions of all types. Markets are not actually free unless fraud is vigorously combated and neither profits nor losses are socialized. Individuals engaged in voluntary exchange should be free to use as money any mutually agreeable commodity or item. We support a halt to inflationary monetary policies and unconstitutional legal tender laws.

2.6 Marketplace Freedom

Libertarians support free markets. We defend the right of individuals to form corporations, cooperatives and other types of entities based on voluntary association. We oppose all forms of government subsidies and bailouts to business, labor, or any other special interest. Government should not compete with private enterprise.

Please read the points that you are posting.

Mining has 0 to do with Libertarianism.

you are restricting my ability to acquire this coin in a manner which I see fit which does not encumber you - big brother at it again just on a smaller scale - telling us what we can and cannot do.

 Huh

Much love man.  I am personally buying into this because that is how I am going to "mine" it.  I am no mining pool operator...so unfortunately the only way to get this coin is to buy Ron Paul Coin with money I can mine into existence through my real life work.  Sorry if this offends people, but I am going to gladly buy into this and use it to help support Rand Paul's campaign.

Sorry if people don't like that I can buy into this at the same price as mining cartels...Sorry that they are forced to play in the same arena now as we commoners...

Sorry you think anything that doesn't give you absolute power over currency creation is big brother.  I personally think you are creating the next big brother if you are protecting mining cartels.

Want to compete?  Run a delegate and prove to shareholders you deserve to remain one...Then you will get paid for actually providing value to shareholders instead of sheering them like sheep.

Much love and I sincerely hope you will consider rethinking your current paradigm.

I can't wait to see Rand Paul and libertarians everywhere getting in on this.

How could ANYONE troll a coin that proposes to put into power the most POWERFUL potential crypto-lobbyist in history?   If you are afraid of the SEC, Buy yourself a President!  Cheesy

No more Proof of Work (POW)

ALGO SCRYPT PLEASE!!!

Are you kiddin'?

Why the hell would anyone choose to go with Proof of Work for LIBERTARIAN-Philosophy coin?  So mining cartels can own Rand Paul?  Nooo thanks man!

DPOS gives the power to the people.  This IS DPOS based right??? If so...fucking wow.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RPCD] Rand Paul Coin (Deflationary) on: November 05, 2014, 08:11:32 PM

A DPOS-based coin to pay for Rand Paul to become President??

Fucking nice.  I'm in.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best PoS coin to invest in? on: July 29, 2014, 02:01:22 AM
none

no coin is a good investment except btc, the 2% or whatever from pos is worthless compared with the potential of btc to go up in price

alts are pump and dump speculation not long term investment

Not every POS coin is inflated.  BTSX's money supply has no inflation, only deflation.

BTC on the other hand has a 10% inflation in the money supply each year.

Tommorrow is that big announcement,  predictions?
It seems that something big was going to happen.

Rumors are floating about that China is going to outlaw NEM.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Source comparing Bitshares/Invicticus with Ethereum? on: March 27, 2014, 01:26:20 AM

Has anyone written anything approaching a comprehensive guide that lists the features and differences between the 2 approaches?  I just read Ethereum thread and no one has even mentioned Bitshares.   The 2 projects sound very similar but I remember the head of Bitshares asking some questions about not forcing everyone to support every blockchain.

If there isn't such a thread somewhere, feel free to post objective thoughts on features and publicly stated directions.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: March 25, 2014, 04:57:42 PM

I was browsing the NXT thread which I learned about after someone pointed out how to get a stake in NEM. In the NXT thread is a guy who has all the stats on those who forge. The distribution really isn't that wide.  It drives home the complaint about NXT being true. (A few large stakeholders) So now we have guys showing up on here trying to discredit NEM by putting it under the same umbrella as NXT. It makes perfect sense as NEM is probably the biggest threat to NXT at the moment from what I see.

L-O-L internet.

Since forging isn't intended as a means of distribution, how is that relevant?

I'm a NEM stakeholder and cautiously optimistic for its prospects... but to be honest, the bulk of what I see here are logos and bitching/complaining/defending NEM's stakes. In Nxt-land we're banging out the last few client bugs in the asset exchange. Not a lot here to make a reasonable Nxt holder shake at the knees.

You can go through the blocks and see how many people are forging.  From that data one can infer how wide the distribution is.  I didn't go through the guy's code, but his post seemed reasonable.  Thats how it is relevant.

I am not talking about "reasonable stake holders", I'm talking about the people who got in early and might have the majority of their networth derived from NXT or inside NXT.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dorian's legal statement regarding Newsweek report of being Satoshi on: March 25, 2014, 04:41:29 PM
Sorry for not going by the trend of denying Dorian to be Satoshi. Me too is a supporter of Satoshi staying anonymous. But a Q is haunting me...

Dorian claims he had to cut off internet for financial condition. But then, how did he continue his train collecting passion, where he has to import it from different country ?

They're called paper catalogs.  They still exist.

AFAIK he collected real model trains, not paper catalogs.

No, thats perhaps how he bought the trains.  This is how the world worked 10-15 years ago.  You purchased things via catalogs and the telephone.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AURORA "airdrop" - before and after March 25 on: March 25, 2014, 03:54:31 AM
The airdrop manager might as well give out the coin to any Icelander who asks for their claim.  It would do nothing but help his cause as he could always find plenty to keep for himself and sell off.  It makes no sense to "dump" them from their perspective.  The guys who get them earlier on will have a huge advantage.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackcoin's BC-Multipool crap-coin killer is now operational :o on: March 24, 2014, 06:28:20 PM
Well, before they can buy bc they need to take the shitcoin and trade it for btc then to bc incurring 2 trading fees. It makes more sense to mine with a multipool that mines shitcoins for btc, then you get a choice whether/when to buy bc. I think the idea was stupid from the beginning, not sure how to explain the enthusiasm shown by the current pump.

I've been playing with some of these types of multipools.  I think they're good for die-hard followers of a certain coin that is not BTC who do want to spend the time trading their BTC manually.  In theory, you get that done for approximately the same fee structure.  So you do gain value by these pools.
